When I had to take an unexpected trip to L&D last week due to bright red spotting. They were going to through all the labor questions and hooked me up to the monitors, and all I was thinking I was "I'm not ready to have this baby today."
Lol I was doing that yesterday! Hubby asked what I was doing and I was all "looking at babies?"
Lol I think my husband is convinced I'm having an affair bc I'm always on my phone bumping and looking up baby stuff. The other day he "jokingly" asked if I was texting my boyfriend....I rolled my eyes and turned my phone to show him all the babies

LOL my hubby asks the same thing, so I usually tell him "no we sexted earlier so we're good". Or if my phone is blowing up and he asks who's texting me I'll tell him my boyfriend, which he responds with one of my best friends that's a guy "Joe?" And I'll laugh and be yup! My hubby has no jealousy and isn't easily threatened so I know I can play. I think he gets more bothered I spend so much time with you ladies than with him or my friend Joe lol
Exactly, @LauraPCOS, it's just about the fact that I'm super rude being on my phone all the time when I used to barely look at it after I got home! It's so hard for me to not be preoccupied though
Our friends hosted the guys' diaper and beer party tonight. We suddenly have piles of diapers. Holy crap, a baby is going to be in some of those diapers in 13ish more weeks!!
Sidenote: the party was a huge hit with the guys!

It got real for me when I came onto the Bump and saw the countdown on the main page. 13 weeks for me. Holy shit! Though with this sciatica pain I don't mind it going fast.
The Halloween stuff is up in a few craft stores. Well shit, this is a LATE October baby so Ive been blissfully telling myself that early October mamas are SO MUCH FURTHER ALONG THAN ME. But Halloween? That's after my due date. Shit. And...I was telling DH the other day that we really need to get to cleaning out the guest room/dump-everything-we-dont-want-to-think-about- room to get ready for baby, itll be the nursery. I said very casually, 16 weeks will be here fast. He looked at me horrified- is that how long? Yes. Well, guess what we did this weekend? Moved guest bed to DS's room!! Progress. But holy cow I have a lot to do.
I went to JoAnns yesterday and bought a big letter 'F' for the nursery. I painted it while DH was at work. When I showed him when he got home, he was like, so we are naming him Flint, huh? It was the first thing we've bought that was personalized for him. We then had a quick 2 minutes discussion on if we were sure that was going to be his name.
I set my due date as a month early for all my baby registry stuff (since twins are likely to be a few weeks early), and I just got an email that my registry completion discount is now available at Target.
We did our hospital tour today. It's really starting to sink in that we're having babies! Also being reminded to pick a pediatrician has me adding one more thing to my to do/ stress list. How do I even go about picking one? Do people actually interview them?
@KenderTas06 A couple of places that were recommended to me by mom friends are having open houses for new patients. I've been to one so far, and it was nice to see how things work and meet some of the staff.
@ashleyp625 and @amye102485 thank you. Being a FTM, I'm obviously over thinking this. Being able to go to an open house would be nice, I'll have to see if any places near me are having one.
@KenderTas06- I use this website where people can go to rate their doctors. I can't ever remember the web address so I just google "rate my doctor" and it's usually the first to come up. Then, I did Google searches to find practices near me and looked up their doctors/reviews. I recommend making sure your office has an on call service and weekend hours... Among other things
I just got hand-me-downs from a family with five boys. My son basically now has a wardrobe for the first two years of life. I have a lot of sorting to do.
I decided to buy cream cheese today too and see what the expiry date was and it is 2 days before I'm due, and one was 10 days after. I showed hubby and he was like "ya it's due in October...wait is it expired?" Lol gotta love my hubby
Well...I start my every other week appts next week, I have a little more than 11 weeks left, I have completely organized my first DD's baby clothes to see what our 2nd DD can wear (born in different seasons). I have washed 3 loads of baby gear, the bassinet is in our room and ready and I have purchased some diapers. I think shit is getting pretty really around here.
Just scheduled all my twice weekly (yes- I said twice a week) appointments with MFM starting in August. Now to figure out when the frequency of normal OB appointments changes again. I just started seeing them every other week.
Another one here with having just scheduled the rest of my ultrasounds and MFM appts! And baby is head down which seems so official. She's very advanced lol. And, talking with doctor about being induced latest 39 weeks, 37 if certain things start indicating that it's safer to spend a couple days in NICU than longer in me!
Everything became real to me a few weeks ago. We were eating dinner talking to our 3 year old about his halloween costume (cuz I promised myself I'd be more on top of making it this year. Side note still haven't started). And I realized O crap I promised him this will be his first year trick or treating and now I'm due to have his brother on the 26th! CRAP! Also today delivery has gotten more real to me. I wasn't nervous at all last time. Honestly I didn't know what to expect so I wasn't trying to freak about it. But this time I know what to expect and I'm freaking out a bit. My brain in going a mile a minute and the anxiety is creeping up on me.
