In case anyone was following my annoying rant in the baby shower thread about SIL who asked us to buy the food for our own shower cause she didn't have money, then told me she couldn't afford a customized cake and wondered what she should do...
just found out she went and got her eyebrows waxed today. I don't know why this irks me so much but I'm so annoyed that she's frivolously spending money on that and making us buy food for our own friggin shower. Like I'm so annoyed. I feel like I'm being irrational. But why offer to throw a shower for someone (with 13 guests might I add... Not a lot of mouths to feed) and not be able to afford food but go get your eyebrows done.
Edit: obvi I know eyebrows cost less than the food would have. But still annoys me.
Open house #1 went great! It was SOOO short though holy moly. I was in and out in 30 mins, but I really liked the doctors 6 out of the 12 were there, the place was immaculate, there weren't separate waiting rooms but it was separated? Well side and a sick side. I'm going to the other one tomorrow just to compare but I am pretty sure that this is the office I want to go with. One step closer to being ready for baby!
@LakeR2014 I used to have a coworker like that.. I called her Queen Thundercloud (not to her face of course). It was incredible how negative she was, and it affected everyone around her. Needless to say, she no longer has a job with us. That's how that was handled.
Well it happened Landry gave me his HFMD! It freaking hurts. I was told adults generally don't catch it the inside of my mouth feels like a giant canker sore. I already have cabin fever from him being in quarantine and now I'm on lock down. Can't even drown my sorrows in food cause anything other than water burns! No wonder Bae was so cranky
Ok, y'all, I was going to post a picture earlier today of a gift my sister sent me then second guessed it BC I didn't want anyone to think I was a weirdo. She sent a few baby things and a few gag gifts. One of them was a picture book titled "Porn for Moms" and it's a book of pictures of men holding babies!!!! I died when I saw it!! She also enclosed a frame photo of my Nana and Papa with my Nana in her new wig, lol, hahahahaha.
Oh, also, with the boxes - we put cardboard out once a week for pickup. Today my neighbor came by and said "I see you guys always have a lot of boxes. I'm looking for one this size (shows me with hands), if you have one this week will you save it for me?" Lol. As I left for work today there was a box on my patio that fit her description from Amazon....
Anyone else having intense RLP on the sides of your uterus? Geez, it's getting intense for me. I'm not sure if it's due to baby boy getting bigger or me over-exerting myself but I feel constant pressure when I'm moving about. Will wearing a support belt or belly band help? I'm getting desperate!
@mom2adoodle I don't have that pain but last night my bump was soooo sore at the top. It hurt just to touch it. I'm not sure if I did something or what but I'm not a fan
anyway I think a support band would be worth checking out- if it helps then yay! If not then at least you tried it.
@SLou24 Nope, not at all. Definitely seems like MUD. Thankfully we haven't had too much of that here. I'll never understand what kind of person has the desire (and time!) for that stuff.
@blondie080300 Yes, my fiancé is the only son, never had a serious girlfriend that he brought home before me and he's close to his mom. His younger sister is no where close to having a family either (still likes to date the absolute wrong type of men...physically & emotionally distant men with baggage/issues). Argh! We've been together 7 years and she's always been very careful about boundaries but with the pregnancy I'm noticing changes in her so that "talk" may need to happen. I'm glad you and your husband had a good chat and I hope your situation improves. It's not always easy sticking up for oneself and for parents to understand when their kids start their own families.
@toimadness1Good luck on your job interview! I hope it went well.
@JennM205 What an eventful morning you had yesterday. I am happy that things calmed down for you although I am sure it was frightening at the time. Rest up, take an easy weekend
@RG1 I can so relate to the happiness if not having to pee in the middle of the night! My sleeps have been glorious lately, now if I could just get my ribs to stop hurting.
@AnnaS930@camichael84 Sweet photos of your hubbies holding your newborns. I can't wait to see mine hold our son, I feel like he'll be such a natural. He's been having fun, resting his hand on my tummy in bed or while watching tv and feeling the little guy kick and move. I second blondie080300 idea of a thread after birth of hubbies holding babies.
@UnwritteN12 no fun about the contractions - I hope they stop and those babies stay put for you!
@SLou24 Not at all! I read it and thought the same thing!
No major randoms for me, have had a long, tiring week and am really looking forward to the weekend and getting more of my nursery set up! Yay!
@lovelylauren86 - adults don't typically catch it.. UNLESS THEY'RE PREGNANT! waaaah. Another glorious part of having an immune system that's knocked way down is being susceptible to viruses we wouldn't typically be. I hope it passes quickly for you, a few girls on my last BMB also go it when their littles were sick.. almost impossible to avoid when you're the one providing comfort. Sorry mama!
@MrsVoorhees I believe so. The last YI I had didn't have any burning or itching at all. The only symptom I was displaying was discharge related.
Of course, things are also just super sensitive down there during pregnancy, so it could also be nothing. Worth mentioning to the OB if you're concerned though.

I think I'll probably ask her before I treat it. It feels like bad razor burn, but let's be honest, I haven't shaved in months.
I'm trying to get more details on yesterday's arrest. She's back online at work today, so obviously nothing too exciting... she also posted on Facebook last night around 10pm "looking forward to friday. it's been a long day lol" and was "feeling exhausted" ... come on lady, give me some details!
I did enjoy that she had a huge post yesterday morning about how excited she was for the company picnic and how appreciated she felt.. then she got whisked away before she got to eat. That made me smile.
@AnnaS930 I appreciate the grinch in your heart. Hahaha so they let her go??? I definitely, definitely would take PTO today, no way would I want to show my face in the office. Just go ask her point blank.
All caught up! I'm at a conference through tomorrow so I actually have time to bump since it requires public transportation. Last night as part of the conference we saw Hamilton and had a talk back with some of the cast (including several leads) so. Freaking. Cool.
@diagonalley WHAT!?!?! You got to see Hamilton!!!! I am so jealous right now. I'm not one much into 'having to see a show,' but being a historical nerd and after seeing the special about it on 60 minutes, I just HAVE to see it! Unfortunately it's sold out for a while and well yea, I also have no plans to go to NYC soon.

They must have! Still hopeful that more details will come out today. I've asked a couple people that I know well who work in her department (trying to be careful to not look like TOO much of a nosy gossip.. don't want to show my true colors).. and they know nothing! I absolutely would have taken today off, she's got balls to come in today after peacing out from the BBQ with ziptied hands in the back of a cop car. Must. Know. More.
@diagonalley - That's amazing. I've heard that the replacements for the original cast that have stepped down are still fantastic. I'm not a huge musical person but I would absolutely love to see Hamilton.

I was so worried about this since DD had HFM over the weekend. I seemed to have steered clear so far, thankfully! I feel like I'm usually a giant bulls-eye for illness, especially when pregnant, so I'm a little surprised, actually! @lovelylauren86 I hope you and DS both feel better soon. Take care!

I got it 6 days after Landry started to show symptoms. Fx you stay healthy!!!

sorry you have to deal with all this for an event that's supposed to be fun for you.
And hope it's ok that I'm RANDOMLY chiming in here.
Add me to the way too many Amazon boxes taking over our recycling bin club! I think a second bin is genius @camichael84
@UnwritteN12 Happy to hear everything is okay!
One step closer to being ready for baby!
I order a lot from Amazon.
Landry gave me his HFMD! It freaking hurts. I was told adults generally don't catch it
@camichael84 Heart was great but Joan Jett is who I was most excited about.
First time mom to a human but have been a puppy mamma for over 12 years
I'm not sure if I did something or what but I'm not a fan

MUD.
Does that make me a bad person?
DD 10/4/02
DS due 9/28/16
