Things on my BRU registry keep becoming unavailable. I had a friend text me tonight saying she was trying to get the nursing pillow but it had been discontinued online. I just logged in to look at it, and some of the products are listed at the bottom as "miscellaneous" and say they aren't available. You can't even click on the item to get a link. We had set up the registry with the last items we needed, hoping to use the completion discount, and this makes it so much more annoying. #firstworldproblems
@geminigirl16 I'm so glad your talk went well too! Phew, what a relief!
@jhems776 I get it about chickening out-- I'm not sure I would have had the guts to bring it up if she hadn't done it first. That being said, I'm sure youll feel better once you get it out there!
@seitzy3 oh no! Please rest up, and keep us updated. I hope you don't have to go on bed rest, but I also just hope that everyone stays put for a while and that you stay healthy!!
Super late to the conversation @MojieJo, but I just wanted to say that my DH was 5lb 2oz, and his twin brother was over 8 lbs. He caught up in size fairly quickly. He also has a very dominant outgoing personality, and has no problem filling up a room when he walks into it. Also, he's my favorite person, obvi
I really hope B can hold his own against A. I just worry that he's going to get overshadowed by his brother based on their differences now (A's always been ahead by a little bit and is much more active). But watch, it's going to end up with B being the dominant one once they're out.
@megan324 make sure to report this suspicious circumstance to the police (either online or via phone - non emergency line) so that the incident is documented. Glad nothing else occurred besides the "vandalism"?
@SarahDarah333 welcome back! Perhaps try using a dif computer browser?? Lack of sex here too - DH won't try. Sadface. Also, all the yums to enjoying wedding food and cake!! Sounds glorious.
@jhems776 like what @blondie080300 says, I'd be uber pissed too!!! Can you guys drive back before H has to fly out for work? How far is your hometown? Part of the anticipation of LO's arrival is organizing everything and doing returns in necessary. That's poopy (no pun intended @Megan324 ).
Ummmm how the heck are ya'll able to distinguish LO's parts inside the belly?? All I feel is a big lump sometimes moving around; that being said, we haven't had an ultrasound in awhile.
Oh and @camichael84 Pokemon Go has taken over the US!! We live in Silicon Valley so have seen people playing this out in the streets, at the library, etcetera! My cousin reported the same in NYC. What level is your husband now?
@MrsVoorhees can't never forget your anecdote of the vagina being singed and then blown upon.......
@seitzy3 I'm so sorry you're going through all of this alone ! Scheduling a few play dates is not a bad idea so the kiddos can entertain themselves and you can have your friends wait on you !
@megan324 scary (and gross) to hear about the phantom pooper. Maybe leave a note on your door that says : "not an outhouse"
Well I passed my glucose test, sort of. My sugar was apparently too low. I was told to eat more often through out the day. Problem is I already feel like I'm eating constantly. My iron was also super low and I have to go Monday to get an IV infusion. I had a gastric bypass 11 years ago. So it's hard for me to eat a lot at once.
So I ate some sardines for the first time yesterday and I they aren't sitting well in my stomach. I'm trying to naturally increase my calcium intake as my body is deficient. Does anyone have any (good) recipes that have sardines and or anchovies? I was thinking Caesar salad, but then you have to be careful with that while preg.
It's the day of the wedding y'all and the day is starting with the bride not getting any sleep and me accidentally spilling my husband's Diet Coke on her something blue underpants while we were washing the car. Here's hoping the day only goes up from here...
Shooting a wedding today. Supposed to be 98 today and it rained all night so it's muggy as hell. aaaaaaand I really didn't want to do it but it's my SIL's little sister so I agreed. What an idiot. I am dreading this.
@MrsVoorhees Wow, that sounds super hot and uncomfortable -- even without a third trimester belly. Try to stay hydrated!
Random - sorry about bare belly and large pic (mobile bumping), but pretty sure this is what a transverse lie looks like. I got uncomfortable while reading and looked down and had a subway sandwich lying sideways. He's since rotated. Pretty weird!
@abberson I had a few weeks where mine looked like that! Then I'd feel him kick on both sides of me simultaneously, so I figured one was a hand and one was a foot and he was transverse
My random: I just checked my registry and someone bought the bedding sheet set that was $200!!!! We only put it on for the completion discount and never expected anyone to buy it. We really wanted it, but were still deciding whether or not we really wanted to pay that much for it (and probably were not ever going to buy it). I was floored. People are so generous with babies. I can't wait for my shower next weekend to see who got it for us!
@frogdog06 I can't really distinguish between the specific body parts when baby moves except for the head. Her head is down and the way it feels when she moves it is heavy, draggy and makes me cramp or pee. I used to get swift jabs in that area when she was breech and those moved up so I was already guessing she might have flipped before they told me. I know where her legs are (the doctor can give you a pretty good idea by feeling around) and I can distinguish that because it's such strong movement and she always drags them across the top of my belly. Sometimes I touch and feel a thick line sticking out. It's all guessing though, really, just based on position and intensity of movement. You can't tell easily the back from the butt, etc (unless you know what you're doing). I had an ultrasound this week and saw her moving her torso a few times and I honestly never would have been able to tell that it felt like it did.
@frogdog06 This is my third and I have zero clue which of baby's body parts are kicking my body parts. I'm intrigued by people who know with certainty exactly what is touching their ribs, bladder, etc.
Why do babies like to have lazy days where they kick juuuuust enough that you know they're still there and you don't feel like you need to go get checked, but not enough that you're satisfied that they're okay? Why? Why do they do this??? I'm ready for her to be out so that my worries will shift to a new type of worry. Haha
Oh man, is anyone else super sore from their Tdap? I got mine yesterday and ouch! Last night was hard because I wanted to lay on that side but it hurts too bad to sleep on.
@RedMar - if you want to increase your calcium absorption, you should either take a magnesium supplement or eat foods higher in magnesium not just foods high in calcium. The calcium and magnesium bind together and the magnesium helps your body absorb the calcium. Calcium is actually really hard for your body to absorb.

@marikkita12 I'm going through all of that heart stuff right now for the same reason. Doc told me taking in more salt and more water would help somewhat (basically the same as IV fluids an easier way). I'm a tad concerned my heart issues and low blood pressure will prevent me from getting an epidural.... Sure hope not.
Spent the morning being monitored. Still not enough action in there for them to be concerned. Why is it that when I'm actually being monitored nothing really happens but when I get home it's the worst?!
Last night I was up from 1-4am with some serious cramps. These were different than the contraction feelings I had all day prior. I mean I was checking my underwear making sure nothing was coming out because they were so painful. I was a mess and I called my mom to talk to her (she always makes me feel better)
anyway, I drank about what feels like 50 gallons of water and headed home. I'm home now watching the chipmunks with my little chipmunk. My mom just called me to tell me she used her miles to book a flight and will be here at 7 tonight. I feel like I can breathe now. I'm so lucky to have her and I just hope baby girl is safe in there and stays put for some weeks ahead.
Whats everyone one else doing today/ this weekend?
@seitzy3 so glad your mom is coming to help you and make you feel better! Moms are the best.
Just had brunch and TCBY with the in laws, yum! And we just decided on Grace's middle name (my MIL's maiden name) so we announced it to them and she was crying and I was crying....so happy we have a name and that its so special! Now to tell my parents, hope they don't feel left out but I'm sure we'll use a family name from my side on the next kiddo....
My blood sugar just dropped to 32, I drank apple juice and it only went up to 45 so on my OB's orders I am on my way to the L&D. I'm sure everything will be fine.
Oh man, is anyone else super sore from their Tdap? I got mine yesterday and ouch! Last night was hard because I wanted to lay on that side but it hurts too bad to sleep on.
I got mine on Tuesday, and I still have a huge lump on my arm and it's super sore.
@seitzy3 How good of your mom to come help! Take it easy and keep that baby baking!
The baby is always moving in jolty type movements. It's not really a new thing, he's been doing it forever... But I want regular baby movements. I'm going to ask my OB about it on Tuesday, but I vaguely remember these type of movements with my DD2.
Wife to A; Mama to C (2009), N (2011), H (2014) & baby F due 09/16/16
@seitzy3 Yay, I am so happy to hear your Mom is on her way to help!! I hope it allows you to get some much needed rest and that the break in physical stress helps end the cramping symptoms you've been having!
I've got a small random rant. My husbands baby sister is a moron. Today was her daughters first birthday party and the entire event was poorly planned. Neither she or the baby were dressed when guests arrived at the designated time and her husband didn't show up with the cake and balloons for decorations until over a half hour after the party started. Once they finally got everything set up with all of the guests already there she decided it was time for the cake. Instead of putting the babies hands in the icing like most people do she took her daughters head and SMASHED it into her smash cake. The little girl was absolutely terrified of the cake after that and refused to have any of it. Everyone was shocked at it and yet as usual his sister had no clue that no one else thought it was funny. Another thing that bothered me and my other sister in law was that she kept shoving teddy grahams & gold fish into her daughters mouth, her little girl is a year old and doesn't have a single tooth yet, we were both terrified she was going to choke! Her mom says she does it all the time and just lets her suck on them until they finally get mushy enough she can swallow it. She is one of those moms who refuses to acknowledge anything she does could be wrong even when it comes to her kids health & safety. There have been many other times she has done things with her baby that are bordering on negligent and yet no amount of pointing it out to her will make her see it that way. Her husband and her talk about how they want several more kids and I'm just over here praying that the one kid they have makes it to adulthood with their stupid @sses as parents.
