I can't think of anything serious yet. So I'm just going to go with.... vegetables are WAY tastier than fruit right now. Go vegetables!
I am usually all about my veggies, but lately fruit! I wrinkle my nose at almost all veggies. I begrudgingly put bell peppers in my cart yesterday, usually my absolute favorite, while I threw in cherries, grapes, blueberries, watermelon, apples, and oranges! My girls who are fruit fiends were elated and didn't know what to ask for dessert! Lol

So jealous!! I don't think I have EVER in my life said that any veggie is better than fruit... #foreverfat
I like Justin Bieber. Whatever. I think he's made a decent turn off the ass path he was on and I enjoy watching him in interviews and whatnot. And his "new" song- it's so tricky but I actually love it. Disclaimer: I don't listen to a ton of pop music, usually Christian folk and podcasts.

@peachesnbean geez where to start with you haha... first it's hilarious that you talked yourself into cherries. Second, I have liked all of Justin Bieber's songs lately and it totally sucks. I'll tell my husband that I heard a song I liked and didn't know who it was and it's always Bieber. Husband pokes fun at me every chance he can get. I even told him I thought about getting the cd and he said well I'm not paying for it. Hahaha embarrassing.
UO: I love white pants and think they are perfectly acceptable to wear year round. I also love "older" clothes, anything from the 50s-70s. And anything boho. So pretty.
I'm glad it's going to be warm for the first almost 6 months of my pregnancy because I hate maternity clothes and I have enough stretchy dresses and shorts I won't have to buy any new clothes.
I'm happy to see others having a hard time with veggies. I usually crave them but they have become the biggest aversion for me. And DH is driving me NUTS with it. He even woke me up this morning asking me how I plan on eating my veggies today. He just doesn't get it and I don't know how to get through to him.

I would have agreed with you a few months ago. But then JB made a crappy comment about Prince's death. Now I think he's just a spoiled brat. Respect your elders, dude.

Omg I could have written this lol. DH keeps making fun of me too bc one of the songs will come on the radio and he'll be like "hey isn't this the song you were saying you liked?" And I'll be like "yea I love this one". Then he's like "well it's by Bieber, you still like it?" Of course I still like it, I'm not going to not like a song just bc I found out it was a Bieber song...

I have 2 today. 1. I'm not stressing about saving to pay for my kids college. Maybe they'll go, maybe I'll help them, who knows. I actually don't know anyone IRL whose parents paid for their college and have lots of successful friends. 2. Pregnant people who say their hormones have nothing to do with how they act are in denial, IMO. May not be the sole cause, but it definitely plays a part.

Did you ask him how he plans on eating his? I'm sorry I don't understand spouses policing what the other eats.
I'm so over humble brag weight posts. Like those "I can't believe I'm 25 weeks and I've only gained 3 pounds!!!" Bullshit. What purpose does that serve? Other than to make other women feel like shit, I don't know. All bodies are different, gain different, etc. Blah.
With Bieber stuff... I also used to do the same thing with one direction. I was secretly bummed they split but shhhhhhh! You girls are the only people who know this.

Agree with you on the college front.
We do not plan to pay for college for any of our kids, at least not 100%. While we value their education, we also value instilling a sense of responsibility in them. If they want the degree, they will have to earn it. It's not going to be a free ride.
Of course, if we can help out financially, we will. But we aren't footing the bill.

Nope.
We opened a 529 plan for DD and will do so for this baby. Our parents (the grandparents) typically contribute to it on birthdays and holidays, which is a nice alternative to endless amounts of toys.
I do however have no intention of 100% footing the bill. Whatever we are able to save is what they get and any gap between that savings and the final bill is 100% our kids responsibility.

THIS! All bodies are different, all pregnancies are different even with the same mom. I especially hate the posts like "it's not about how much weight you gain or don't but for the record I've only gained xx amount!"
My UO: Zipper merges. If the road signs are telling me to merge 2 miles in advance, I do it. It slows down the flow of traffic too much to try to sneak in at the last moment. Theres a huge push in my state to not merge til the last possible moment and it drives me nutso

I am so torn on college savings. I like the idea of helping to pay for college, but I also know that our kid(s) may want to learn a trade, or start a business. I would be equally happy using that money to help them start said business, or for a home down payment; but you lose that option with the 529.... We haven't decided, but I'm considering just starting up an after-tax account and then we can use it for them in whatever their future (parent approved) endeavors may be.
If they do want to go to college, whatever is not covered, they would be responsible for on their own.

(stuck in the box) Actually, research/experts say that the zipper merge is faster and safer for everyone than getting over early - use the available lanes until you can't anymore. UO?

Stuck in the Box
I actually think you guys have the popular opinion on this. My UO is probably that I would love to foot the bill for college if we can, which is a big "if." It would, however, come with stipulations like maintaining a certain GPA, having a solid career plan, staying out of trouble for the most part, and making a financially-efficient choice of school. My parents paid for my undergrad (minus scholarships and financial aid) and I want to pay it forward. I also want to talk to my kids a lot about debt, bills, and budgeting. Despite the gift I was given, I made some mistakes with credit cards and grad school loans that I want to make sure my own kids avoid.
Apologies if that's TMI; I'm also on a financial message board so sometimes I lose track of where the financial politeness line is on the rest of the interwebs.

Oh for sure mine is the UO lol. I do understand the research but seeing it in practice when cars are slowing down to 10-20mph on a highway merge point and it seems like a free for all is a different story sometimes, safety wise.
Maybe if they switched out the Merge signs with Merge Ahead it would alleviate the confusion. Then put Merge signs when they actually want people to merge. I've now typed the word "merge" so much I swear I'm spelling it wrong, ha

*** this is only if there are at least 3 lanes if there are 2 lanes I just gripe the whole time because the traffic never leaves space to alternate and merge together**** I'm with @yogadevil on this one. If I know my lane is going to end and I have room, I move over, then I move over again so the lane is open for others to merge. It slows down a lot when cars fly up just to slam the breaks because they don't have enough room. It probably depends on each situation but I've noticed that when the lanes merge it works best when the "merging into" lane moves over so the "running out" lane can actually get over. I'm also the driver who likes the middle lane most of the time. I try not riding in the "slow" lane unless my exit is coming up. It's madness in the slow lanes with all the cars exiting and coming on.

I have no clue how this could be true. Every time someone decides to use the zipper merge it stops traffic and whenever no one decides to be an asshole that day traffic just keeps flowing (these days are very rare). That might be because for some reason in my area they take a single lane and about 1000ft from the light make it 2 lanes that then have to merge back together again within 200ft of the light. It makes no sense and seriously ends up just screwing over the flow of traffic. If someone is trying to merge in from using a zipper lane next to me I will let them hit me before I let them get in front of me.

My UO is going to be very unpopular. I'm tired of hearing about all of these police shootings. Yes, I think they're terrible and awful and very sad but I think it's media bs. When there starts being equal airtime for good things that people do then maybe I will care more. Flame away.
