Silver Lining of being overdue:

Ordered a tank top with the American flag on it last year for Fourth of July from Amazon and they sent me an XL, which was way too big. I never got around to returning it, so it's been sitting in the bottom of my drawer. I was convinced this baby was coming before the 4th but since she's still hanging tight, the shirt now fits!

I'm laying on my bed right now thinking about all the stuff I need to do while the kids are watching tv. I really need to do them now before it gets too hot but I just can't make myself. I'm feeling pretty down today and laying around feels more appealing than cleaning

I've finally gotten around to booking for my eyebrows to be done, they are so fuzzy so I can't wait to have two instead of one! Baby is moving like crazy today and I'm still having the period type cramps. I'd really just love to know when baby was arriving so I could have something to keep me sane, even if I did go over several days. Baby will come when he's ready though, right! Plus I know they say to keep as active as possible but damn, I may need a hip replacement if I keep up the little walking I am doing. My joints are so stiff and painful! ALL the stretching!

Oh and Happy 4th of July to you US ladies, I hope the fireworks and parties don't keep you awake tonight!

Finally got a good night's sleep and I think I'm starting to lose my mucous plug, so I'm in a much better mood today! Now if i only had some chocolate!

100%!! Even if I knew I would have to wait longer, I just want to know when he'll be here! I'm driving myself crazy trying to decide if these cramps are contractions. I keep telling myself to relax and when I need to know, I'll be able to tell for sure... But I'm so impatient!

@eymi Yep same, every little twinge I do think.. ohh what's this? But I'm sure we will know definitely when it's time! The pain will be x1000 worse than what I feel now I'd say!

The reoccurring dreams about delivering a little girl instead of a little boy have my anxiety around giving birth extra high. Either way I will be happy.

Yesterday I bought a box of brownie mix. Pan of brownies, here I come. It's been a long week of cravings.

@LF93 ditto to hip pain. I have to keep changing sides when I sleep (which is already painful in and of itself) and my knees have joined the party too. Just 3 weeks and 6 days left! Lol

On another note, I dreamed I had started packing my hospital bag (which I still haven't done) and I woke up feeling so accomplished...until I realized it was a dream

Is it bad if I'm counting down to the summer Olympics and not my due date? I am Olympics obsessed and went way overdue last pregnancy, so I figure a due date countdown is asking for disappointment.

If doing this (counting down to Olympics rather than due date) is wrong, I don't wanna be right! Due July 29 with my first, already think due date is off 3-5 days based on charting, so I've always thought early August aka Olympics baby.

@eymi , yes to everything you said!! One of the first things I said to DH when we found out the due date was, "yes! The Olympics for my maternity leave!" And gymnastics is my favorite too. Can't wait to see what the women's team will be!

@whataboutscience love the middle name "choices"!

I think DH and I should revisit our selections!

DH had a charity morning tea at work yesterday, so I baked and sent him with instructions that he had to bring me home left overs. I was kind of joking/kind of not so wasn't expecting him to. He comes home with a container full of assorted cakes and I am pumped to eat all of them. I asked if anyone thought it was weird, and the consensus was I have been sending him to work with cakes all last week ( I was bored baking) and I was pregnant so I got all the cakes I wanted. God I love the guys he works with sometimes.

Isn't it weird how we had such a rush of new babies that it was hard to keep up for a few days, then it just dramatically slowed down? Fx for being in the next group!

Exhausted. I am starting to get the "I am over being pregnant" feeling, but at the same time, want LO to stay in there as long as possible so my house can be completely unpacked and organized.

On a better note, I start teleworking today, no more commuting!!!!

I've been fielding calls all morning for some lady who used to own my phone number 2 year ago. Apparently she asked for a health insurance quote this weekend and left my number as her contact number. Trying to stay calm and tell each one they have the wrong number because the rational me knows they are human beings, too. The irrational part of me wants to just cry because she's ruining my day!

Since we've had a lot of new moms recently does anybody have an interest in starting a weekly MOTN (middle of the night) check-in thread for all those nightly feedings, etc.? If people are on board with that we can start one....or not. Let me know what y'all think. Some other BMBs have something like that.

I just had some strawberry & banana smoothie, all the cramps and sharp pains. I'm hoping it's just digestive pains because otherwise this'll be weird! I just want to lay down and roll into some resemblance of a ball!

Edit: Either these are BH and what I've felt previously were never actually BH, or else I'm about to start scaring myself LOL

I still get calls for the lady who had my number FIVE YEARS ago. She must have signed up with all kinds of pyramid scheme sales programs because that seems to be the majority of the calls. That and credit card collections.

Baby Jaxon weighs 7lbs 9oz. I'm 2.5 cm dilated and 70% effaced. EDD moved up for now! I'm so excited!
