All of you are all sentimental and talking about how excited you are to cuddle your babies or see older sister/brother interact with new baby. Meanwhile, I'm dead inside and can only think about how scared shitless I am to have two kids. Mornings have been insane lately with my three year old's shenanigans. How the eff am I going to do it with two?!
Oh my god, I'm so with you! I'm terrified. Last time I was WORRIED it would be terrible, but now I KNOW enough to know just how terrible it is! One was hard. Two is going to be more than twice as hard. im way more fearful than I am excited. Not a day goes by where if don't think "oh my god what was I thinking when I got myself into this mess."

I think that regularly and then I'm feel terrible for thinking that. But glad I'm not alone.
A triple seven?? @RedMar H is wasted and I really wanted to go out to eat tonight. Stuck in the hotel room watching Mickey and eating sandwiches. I'm gonna go downstairs and get a funnel cake after I put Landry down and I'm not sharing. Also we built winterfell today.
I really never thought about BC after delivery. I went to OB today and saw that BC pamphlet that says "This is my baby now" and it's some broad pushing a camera in a swing. Classy Seriously though condoms are always welcome until I feel comfortable trying again. The breast milk in the eye was hopefully a deterrent for when I'm not in the mood.
Huh... the MUD was not who I thought either. I see the "mentioned" as one of those in and out posters, the ones that come in occasionally and participate every few weeks. I still see those as semi regulars and hadn't thought anything of it but I can't remember what her previous posts were about.
So I caved today and ordered a pregnancy pillow and some epsom salt baths with essential oils. My body has been hurting!! I can't wait to try them. Amazon link

@kosmo86 I love my pillow so I hope you like your purchase. In fact, we are headed out of town for a few days soon and am debating bringing mine with me!
@geminigirl16 I really hope it does the trick. I have always been a side sleeper and for some reason I keep waking up on my back and then my back hurts all day. I tried to put a regular pillow behind me but so far it hasn't worked.

Random of the day: our nursery is painted! I just love the purple accent wall! It's exactly what I wanted.
The painters are driving me crazy by not being careful enough about not getting paint on the wood trim and plaster in the new carpets and won't be done until Tuesday now (was supposed to be Friday), but I'm focusing on the positives.
Hopefully we can start on the nursery furniture and decorating by the weekend, but we may have to wait until mid-next week with them taking longer on the rest of the house (we have things temporarily stored in the nursery that need moved out first).
Re the MUD, I was sure I knew exactly who was being talked about because I've been thinking it for weeks. Maybe months. She has been popping up once a week/every other week with an over the top post that would get eaten alive on any other board. I know her by her screen name solely for this reason. When I see her start a thread, I know to expect something on the ridiculous side about a new worry.
Re husband freaking out during delivery. My husband was super nervous as well, and I think he felt helpless during it all, but I never would have known. Granted, things went smoothly and fairly quickly the first time. It may be different if we have a different experience this time.

Bring it! I left mine home for a one night stay at my ILs, and it was one of the worst nights of sleep I've had during my pregnancy. It seriously showed me just how much of a difference the Snoogle makes. (Sometimes I wonder because even with it, it can be rough.)
I'm fairly sure I know who we are talking about....I think....does she have a bump profile pic? Because if this is the one, I totally thought she was MUD a long time ago, and then started noticing her picture would constantly change to a new bump pic.
@camichael84 I still have off nights sleeping with my Snoogle too. It's helped tremendously but my hips and back still ache come the morning. I can't even sleep at other people's homes anymore. I tried a few places and it's not comfortable even with my pillow.
I'm off to find the MUD poster right after I type this up.
So, I have a bit of a worrisome random.
I had a routine appointment with an OB that was not my regular Nurse MidWife because she was booked that week. The new OB was taking a close look at my chart and test results just to get an idea of how things have been going with me which I appreciated. However, she noticed a screening from back in March that showed abnormal hormone levels in the placenta. She asked if my regular NMW had mentioned this to me or if I had been monitored for this and my answer was a fuming/scared sh*tless NO!
She ordered a growth sonogram for next week and another one for next month and weekly Non stress tests starting at 32 weeks up until I deliver. She said she wanted to be conservative and cautious and assure the placenta was giving baby what he needs.
Uhm, WTF regular NMW and why didn't you mention this??? I'm seeing her in a week and a half so I'm definitely going to be asking a lot of questions. Fingers crossed everything is fine, I just wish I had more information already and knew why my regular care provider somehow overlooked or deemed the results as frivolous?
I do know that Amazon has the A to Z guarantee so if they don't ship the item Amazon will make sure you get a full refund- again for $6 I figured it was worth a shot. I have it on my registry anyway as a back up, just in case.
I imagine there'll be more available at reasonable prices. Amazon tends to be cyclical on a lot of things. They sell out, then are only available at a huge mark up and then come back at a more reasonable price, sometimes with Prime.
If it's actually been discontinued, then that might not happen, but otherwise I'd just keep checking back if you want one. I had several things on my registry sell out, show up for outrageous prices and then come back either through Prime or a third party with a reasonable price.
Exactly. I do know that Babies R Us has it for around $40 or so. I added it onto my Amazon registry because they had a Fisher Price give away and you had to have at least $50 of Fisher Price items on your registry to be eligible. I figure if I don't see that it shipped after a week or so I'll file the claim through Amazon and get the shipping refunded.
@jennlynn777 I'm with you- I went to the dentist today and my gums are miserable, even after taking Tylenol once. I try to avoid taking it as much as I can too- but dang this hurts!!! Feel better
My random for today- I'm starting to see things fly off the registry, including some heavy hitter items we never thought would actually get purchased but added for the discount so we could get them afterwards. Feeling super grateful, and super excited
@camichael84 okay, I have no idea who it is and now I feel bad because I see person I thought has actually posted a lot...maybe just not answers I would expect someone to give? I don't know. Haha forget it!!
I think it's funny, hopefully you will too, do any of you pronounce the screen names weirdly or pronounce one that isn't actually together as a word? Like @camichael84 is "Camichael" to me, as in "cuh-Michael" and @MojieJo is "mojito".

Yep I totally do this
ETA: I didn't really realize I did until you pointed it out
@mom2adoodle Sending positive thoughts that all is well, and that the extra monitoring is mostly because this NMW is just more cautious than your regular one. I had a lot of extra monitoring with my first, and it was actually kind of reassuring to know all was going well as we progressed.

FWIW, I think the standard Bump pics rotate on their own, not through the users choice.

I think my cat (her name is Mojo, but we call her Mojie, Mojie Jo, Mojosephine, etc.) may have a new nickname, though.
