Fine. I'll go. People who register for things for like the first 2 years of the child's life drive me crazy. Why? This is your kid. If people want to buy you things for your BABY then that makes sense but after that, it's all on you boo boo.
I'm not going to love tit new posters hdbd pics or your baby pics cause I know why you're on here and I don't know you. However, to the new ladies who are posting and contributing I give you the love.
I have a tutu for my daughter rather I was given one and love it . >.< I am not a huge fan of frilly things and I will never force her to wear things like that as she gets older if she doesn't like it but for now I think they are pretty cute.
Rando asks questions on the board that never or rarely participates? Going to find the most obnoxious gif/meme I can. Stranger asks me when I'm due again? Tomorrow is going to be my answer. I'm just done being nice to people/ trying to tone down my snark.
I'm starting to think this pregnancy is bringing out the worst in me...
If you come into my pharmacy and want to get a script filled 5 mins before we close and it's not for a child... sorry we have a 24 hour pharmacy 10 minutes down the street. If you got here you can go there. Plus, it's clearly not an emergency because you are walking, speaking, breathing and are not in the hospital. Sorry, not sorry.
People who claim to be superstitious just when it suits them. Oh it's bad luck to buy anything before the baby is born? STFU I'd rather be prepared then running around like a maniac after he's born. This from someone who bought the majority of their baby items before their baby was born. Hypocrite much?
I'm done being nice to people. I have no idea what I'm going to say exactly, but the next "you still haven't had that baby?!" comment is at the very least getting an eye-roll and ignored. I'm going to make it f**king awkward- you're not being nice, you're being a soulless office cliche and I'm so over feeling obligated to respond with some peppy horse sh!t. You throw around small talk because you're a vapid, empty shell of a human being and no one wants to talk about "how was your weekend" or "crazy weather" with you anymore! STFU and back away from my cube before I throat punch you!!!!
UO: I think people who don't vote shouldn't be allowed to bitch about anything politically related until the next election cycle. Your voting voice was given to you to actually use, not just annoy friends and family on facebook.

This year I am exceptionally unhappy with all of the candidates so I'm going to vote for Mickey Mouse in November. Does that count?
My UO is keeping it real with my coworkers, yes you are a dumb f**k for assigning me something that has an internal deadline right in the middle of August, and no I don't care there is no one else to assign it to. I am telling you I won't be here so you don't have to reassign my work when I am out, but if you want to make your job harder, fine by me.
Apprently, this is an UO: I change my refrigerator water filter when it says it needs to be changed. I think buying multi packs is a lot cheaper than buying them one by one. Also, then I don't have to worry about it when it's time to change it.
UO #2: I still get mad at people who entertain these rando posts with serious answers.
Politics & the people that try to push their opinion on you while saying "it doesn't matter who you vote for, as long as you vote". If that's truly your stance, then don't sit there and try to sway me about who to vote for. And politicians? How about you tell me where you stand on issues rather than constantly bash your opponent? Part of the reason why I feel like an ignorant, uneducated individual when it comes to politics & voting is I feel that there is never a straight-up answer to anything.
@Nerdchild People are idiots sometimes when it comes to voting. In Ireland it goes like this: "The elected politicians who lied through their teeth about their campaign, sure lets vote them in again." "Oh we already pay our water through tax, oh lets set up a private company and bill them twice." The only decent thing voting done for this country in the last 5/10 years was allowing the public to vote for marriage equality. Everything else was basically for show.
Legit UO: I never post the first UO that comes to mind because I have loads of opinions that are actually unpopular, and they're all taken as judgments and make people defensive. Why can't we have opinions that disagree with one another? No idea. It's probably too late in pregnancy to be poking any bears, but what the hell. We haven't had any real action around here in a while.
If I really disagree with someone's opinion and think they're wrong and I'm right, I might get annoyed, but I don't get defensive. What's to defend? I think they're wrong. So I assume defensive attitudes come from agreeing to some extent with someone's opinion and then feeling lesser than or guilty because of it...
@kellz14 I'm going to have to say that Mickey Mouse would be a poor choice. He underpays and overworks thousands all the while making majority of employees miserable. The branches of government would become a bigger shit show than they are currently. Unfortunate truth.
If you park like a jackass, you should expect that whomever parks next to you is going to hit your vehicle with their door. If it's me, I'm secretly hoping I leave a nice mark, especially if it's on the side where I put DD into her carseat because I need all the space to get her buckled in and maneuver around my big belly. If you're on or over that line, you must have known that it was coming
I think too many drs put our bodies and babies on a schedule. Estimated due date is just that-estimated. I don't want to be having a conversation about inducing at my 38 week appointment.
UO: I'm not miserable at the end of pregnancy. Sure I'm uncomfortable and sore, but I really don't think the end of pregnancy is too bad. (It could be because the first 4 months of all my pregnancies are pure hell with all day morning sickness so nothing could be as bad as that??)
This is my last pregnancy and I'm going to enjoy it and feeling this baby inside me as much as possible.
@PootsDragon I totally agree! And I also think it seems silly when people post their UO and then get beraded about them...isn't the point of this thread to post unpopular opinions?!

@dolewhipper Wait - are you talking about Mickey Mouse or Trump? Couldn't resist.. OK that's the extent of my political commentary

Hah! You know, now that I think of it, they may be one in the same. I worked for the mouse for about 6 weeks before I had enough, I know a few people really love it though

I'm going to have to pick a new cartoon character now!
I know we're all told to love our pregnant bodies and that, but you know what I'm sick of my pregnant body. I'm sick of sweating at night and waking up like I'm Jaba the hut.

Agreed. We are one and done, so this is it. While there are parts that aren't fun or enjoyable, I also don't want to wish and complain the whole thing away. Pretty soon this baby is going to come out and some day I might miss those kicks! Ten days to EDD.
UO I'm tired of baby movements. Everyone keeps telling me how much I'll miss it- I think not. The hiccups are driving me insane more than my own do and the movements are really hurting me. I'm glad it's a sign she's fine, but it's on my nerves.
@thepen15ismighty I'm also over feeling like Jaba the Hut while sleeping. I don't even use the blankets on the bed and have a fan going plus the AC and still I wake up drenched. WTF!? I hate getting up to pee and coming back to my pregnancy pillow soaked.
I'm going to miss this belly. The rest of my body aches can die in a fire but the belly...the belly I will miss. I've spent most of my life self-conscious of my midsection as that's always where I've carried the bulk my weight. I was used to being asked how far along I was long before I was pregnant. I can't begin to tell you how healing it's been to love this part of my body--to stand buck naked in front of the mirror, looking like a troll doll, while feeling beyond proud. I can only hope that I can continue the love post-partum, remembering what a gift my bowl full of jelly gave us.
Maybe it's because it's taken us so long to get pregnant and have gone through a molar pregnancy that I'm just in denial, but I really haven't felt like this pregnancy has been torture. For the most part I've actually enjoyed it and I honestly am going to miss her moving around in there. Again I could have just placed myself in a delusion. @randypluskate I'm actually going to miss this preggo belly too!
I have a tutu for my daughter rather I was given one and love it . >.< I am not a huge fan of frilly things and I will never force her to wear things like that as she gets older if she doesn't like it but for now I think they are pretty cute.
I absolutely love all things frilly and will dress my daughter in them until she tells me she doesn't like it. But I really hope she grows up to love all things girly!
. a previous Co worker of mine comments on EVERY political thing I post on facebook. I understand I'm opening up a can of worms by posting such things on social media, but I do it because I think they're funny ( I never post anything serious on facebook), Not because I want to have a political debate on EVERY SINGLE THING. Long story short, my uo is I hate it when people try to disect and have a debate about ever political thing they see on Facebook.
Yeah my pregnant body was fun for a minute, but I'm OVER it! I want to sleep on my stomach and kill it at crossfit and enjoy the skin I'm in again. The only reason I ever want to waddle is because yesterday was leg day!

What about sex? I, personally, was always okay with walking like a cowgirl after a good boning session too.
Here's an UO, apparently: if you want to spend time with your pregnant friend/family member, don't wait until they are like a week from their due date and then act put out that they don't want to be social. I wanted to see people months ago when all my friends forgot I existed but now I am uncomfortable and miserable and don't want to deal with contractions in public so too bad for you. Sorry if you're feeling guilty for not being a better friend but I have no time or energy to assuage that guilt for you now.
@stellaluna14 heck yes! I feel like no one wanted to hang out with me until now when I'm in my last weeks of pregnancy and crazy uncomfortable. My least favorite people are the ones who guilt trip me. "But we don't know when we'll ever see you again. You have to come out". Clearly, these people will be writing me off once this baby is born. And also, UO: don't invite your hella pregnant friend to a bar/club/lounge. What would I be doing there? Besides being the DD?
