@chicandbubbly How thoughtful, those cards are cute. @augustang@ocfortythree it took me a few months of IUI injections to be able to do my own shots. I was still terrified about the PIO but they aren't as bad as I thought they would be. The needle is long & 2 mls is a lot to push in but it's not terrible. I've started rotating between laying down and standing up to poke and that seems to help a little too.
I hope everyone is doing okay and has good news rolling in! I'm doing pretty well. RE says I can do my second beta on Tuesday when I get back in town. So, my betas will be a week apart but it'll still be nice to see the number rising as it should. *m/c mentioned.... My sil who lost her baby around 5 months along last year also just found out she's pregnant again so there was a lot of joyful news.

@slerpyrn do you think it's weird I haven't had any testing and won't until my beta for estrogen and progesterone? Worried that my levels could be off and I wouldn't know as I'm taking the same amount of Estrace and progesterone each day.

Oh some of you seem so strong with kicking the coffee. I feel bad, I keep snapping at my husband the past 2 days. I think it's a mix of the fatigue and lack of caffine. I wish my resume would allow at least 1 cup a day for me.
@emgem819 I am not sure. Maybe my RE is being careful with me because I have hyperprolactinemia and take a med that effects my pituitary and hormone levels.
me:41 dh:42 me:PCOS, blocked left fallopian tube, hyperprolactinemia (dh's swimmers are perfect/normal) Tried 3 rounds of clomid with Ovidrel trigger (BFNs) May/June 2016 IVF 6/1 ER 7 eggs retrieved, 7 fertilized via ICSI 6 embryos made it to blasts. 6/6 2 AA embryos transfered, 4 BBs frozen Beta 6/18 -- BFN FET #1 August 22 BFN Dec 2016/Jan 2017 Round 2 was a bust. 6 eggs, Only 1 embryo made it, no transfer FET #2 cancelled 10/17 due to uterine polyps. FET #3 9/11/18 Uterine scratch and antihistamine protocol/lovenox done this time. 2 AA hatching blasts put in. BFP 9/20/18!!
@babylonghorn16 - darn it, that sucks. However, FETs can be more successful than fresh transfers. This is hopefully just a small bump in the road - you'll get that little baby, just have to wait a bit longer. In the meantime, enjoy that wine!
These PIO shots have me instantly depressed every-time my alarm goes off in the morning... I remember getting to a point in my last FET cycle where I was crying just thinking about them. Ugh! And Monday I'm supposed to start the Lovenox. I know it'll be all worth it in the end though. This time around I'm taking pics of everything needles and all. When my daughter (speaking things into existence here) starts to get unappreciative, I'm going to whip out my Journey through Infertility Scrapbook...sit her down and make her listen to the whole story of how she came to be. I'm so hopeful this time around. I have to be seeing how this is our last opportunity.
My Dr. has me on estradiol and minivelle patches. I started PIO injections yesterday. I start Lovenox on Monday and Prednisone on Tuesday. He didn't really give me the reasoning for the different meds. My obgyn ran all of my blood-work for the miscarriage panel and said that my anticardiolipins were abnormal and once my RE saw the results thats when he added the lovenox and prednisone. I didn't have these meds in my last FET. Is anyone else taking them?

6 eggs out of me now, and they said they were of good quality. Fingers crossed. They'll call tomorrow/day after about the transfer. This was quicker than the hysteroscopy, maybe because it was Sunday and everyone wanted to go home have a bit of a belly ache, but I guess that'll pass. Thanks for updating my details on the chart, @wifeinraleigh28 ! progesterone injections for 3 days now and various medicines. let's hope I can keep them down better, am going on a day trip tomorrow.

Anyone doing fet and feel crappy from the meds? I napped yesterday but when I woke I was completely sweaty and shakey. Hubby did my pio shot and I felt like I was going to pass out. I still feel a bit crumby today.
@Sweetcake33 my doctor had me on an antibiotic, prednisone, and the night before was an anti bacterial vaginal gel. I would believe all of it is because the transfer rooms aren't sterile rooms like the retrieval or's.
I had my egg retrieval april 2.. and then had to wait till june 3 to transfer due to pgd testing.. i got my beta back yesterday and its 130.. how many weeks would i even be??
@Foxy8609 I'm only on progesterone and estrogen after FET transfer, but feeling VERY tired. Got hot flashes when I was on stims and would wake up in the middle of the night very hot. What meds are you on?

@wifeinraleigh28@chicandbubbly thanks! I am actually having my ER tomorrow morning...had a few more follicles to grow:) I have 13 mature as of today, so I am a little nervous, just not knowing if that is a good number, not enough, etc. I think I compare myself way too much to other people on the Internet. Anyway, it's in God's hands and just have to hand it over.
Also, no more shots today!!! yay. Does anyone else get scared your larger follicles will ovulate before the procedure!!??? I ovulated early for an IUI cycle and has me spooked.

@emgem819 Im on the same meds. 6mg of estrace and them 1 ml of progesterone. Im starting to feel a little better today. I made some raspberry scones and had some decaf tea. My head still feels funny but I think I may have a sinus infection brewing. OR this could all be from the embaby implanting. But thats hopeful thinking. I could lay down for a nap right about now.
@Foxy8609 I hear you on all of that! Raspberry scones sound delicious! The tiredness must be a side effect of the meds and I also have had bad allergies (tis the season) so been stuffed up and watery eyed. Hope you feel better soon! If you need to nap, I say, make it happen!

@runner76 Glad to see you on the June/July board. From your other messages, I can tell you've had a challenging journey to here. To get the number of weeks pregnant you are, you would need to add one week for the growth of the embroys prior to transfer to the number of weeks since your embryo transfer. Also, since weeks of pregnancy is calculated from the last menstrual period, you would probably add an additional week or two for that. If it's been three weeks since your embryo transfer, then you are probably at 5 to 6 weeks pregnant.
AFM- I seem to have gotten a bad sinus infection. I'm glad I'm able to take meds, because this is painful! I see me re tomorrow for a follow-up from my retrieval and OHSS.

@emgem819 oh I so made that nap happen! Lol yea I just find it so weird that the meds are just effecting me now like this. I've been on the estrace I think 3 weeks now and the progesterone I just hit 1 week. Maybe it needs to build up in the system plus whatever natural hormones my body is making.
Congrats @runner76! When do you go back to your Re? They should be able to give you a date.
@annebenton22 Well good luck for tomorrow then! Does your doctor prescribe you ganirelix to keep you from ovulating early? I took that with all 3 of my IUIs as my follicles approached maturity and I was told I will be prescribed it again for IVF for the same reason. 13 follicles is a very good number I think!
@cmm012 Ugh, I'm sorry about your sinus infection. I hope you feel better soon! Please keep us posted after your follow up appt!

@runner76 like one of the previous posters kind of said you look at how far along the embryo is that they've transferred, day 3 or 5 etc., plus add the amount of time as if you had done everything naturally (not being controlled by medications and procedures) and add another 2 weeks, then the 2 weeks till your beta so once you get your beta test you're about 5-6 weeks. *trigger warning* with my fresh cycle with all the stims and how long the protocol is and how everything is controlled by your RE after my beta when I went in for my first ultrasound she gave me a date to give my OB once I transferred care that if I had done things naturally would have been the date of my last period.

@emgem819 I thought the first number was number of days after transfer, and the second number was the number of days the embryo(s) matured. So if you're 8 days post transfer and transferred a 5day blast, you'd say 8dpt5d.

@emgem819@babylonghorn16 The first number is how many days have passed since transfer, the second is whether it's a 3- or 5-day transfer (i.e., 3-day old embryos or 5-day-old embryos). So for example, today I'm 6 days past a 5-day FET, hence 6dp5dfet.
Speaking of which, I tested yesterday, at 5dp5dfet and got the faintest positive you've ever seen on a wondfo. I went out and got a FRER yesterday afternoon... negative. Took the second FRER this morning (at 6dp5dfet), and got a faint positive. I still haven't told DH yet because I'm so nervous that it's not real. Planning on testing again in the morning, and hoping for a darker line - one that I think DH will actually be able to see without squinting... Beta isn't until Friday! Keeping fingers crossed and praying that this is for real.

@BlueEyedDreamer Oh thats exciting!!!! Was your hubby bugging you to test early? Mine has been. He wants to test Thursday. Im crossing my fingers that the tests will get darker for you.
So I had some spotting tonight. It was so little and it was brown. Ahhhh. I actually want to test before thursday but it might be too. Im really preparing myself to be let down. Its been 4 years since we started trying and 6 months of IVF.
Hi ladies, I have been a longtime lurker and actually posted when we were planning a March/April cycle, but I unfortunately had to cancel that because I found out I had to have pretty major ear surgery -- so, we were rescheduled for a May/June cycle.
I've been following this thread pretty regularly and have gotten a lot of great information! Now that I have some downtime to post, here's our story...
This morning we had our ER and wound up with 12 eggs. We will find out the quality tomorrow. I stemmed from May 27th til June 10th because I was a slow responder to the Gonal-F. On Day 5, they almost canceled my cycle completely because there was very little progress, but my doctor decided to give me 2 more days and that made all the difference!
He was pleasantly surprised by the number of eggs retrieved because of all that -- I think he expected under 10. We are using ICSI so I hope that will increase our odds of success a bit. From the reading I've done, I think my estradiol levels always remained on the low side through-out all of my stims, so I'm nervous about quality. However, my doctor never really addressed that, except for the day he considered canceling us, so maybe I'm paranoid.
Because I stimmed for so long, the doctor decided we won't do a fresh transfer. We will freeze whatever embyros we get, and do a frozen transfer next month. He said after this long he was concerned about my lining quality, and also really felt he had pushed my body a lot and wanted it to have a chance to recuperate a little. I'm 100% on board with that....a week before we started stims, I lost my best friend of 18 years in a car accident. We almost considered moving our cycle again, but she would have been furious with me, so we moved forward. That said, I think the physical and emotional regrouping will be very important.
This forum has been such a great support and resource for info the last couple weeks. While we've been fairly open with friends and family about what we're doing, I don't know anyone personally who has gone through this, which has been very isolating. I'm hoping to be more active the next day or two, I took a couple days off work to rest after ER.
Looking forward to making some new friends around here!

Wow this board has been busy over the weekend! I'll have to catch up when I get some down time at work today!
Quick question for those that have done a FET - I stopped BCPs on Thursday, went for my pre-med bloodwork and ultrasound on Saturday and started .2cc of Del Estrogen that night. Late last night I started spotting and had some this morning. I'm planning on calling my nurse as soon as the clinic opens, but has anyone else experienced this? I know with my IVF cycle, I was told by my nurse that spotting while on the stims was normal, but she didn't mention anything about the FET protocol.
@babylonghorn16 so sorry but it sounds like you are staying positive which is awesome!
@linz528 wow, sounds like it's been a tough few months for you! Hope you recuperate quickly from your ER and take a few weeks to take care of yourself before transfer!
AFM it's been a long weekend of ultrasounds and bloodwork, but I'm finally ready to trigger tonight and ER will be Wednesday! I'm so ready to get these eggs out of me. I've been pretty uncomfortable the past few days. Hope everyone is having a good Monday!!

@BlueEyedDreamer Congrats, I have a feeling this is for real! FX for a strong beta on Friday!
Welcome @LinZ528! Congrats on those 12 eggs! I've added you to our June/July spreadsheet.
Unfortunately I was not accepted to the trial. DH and I are pretty angry, because we didn't trust our gut back in April when we made the decision to wait. My AMH has been all over the place (from 4.5, to 5.75, to 7.91). We thought it would be silly not to wait for the trial (which has an AMH requirement of 5) if my most recent test was 7.91. But with my AMH being all over the place, we just had a FEELING we would have issues getting accepted. But still I didn't expect it to come back as low as it did: 3.19. It doesn't even make any sense and I'm pretty angry that we waited. We were going to start IVF in April, but didn't because of this trial. The nurse said we can submit my AMH one more time in two weeks but that it is unlikely it will come back over 5. We are just done waiting for this. It has been one delay after another and we've already been getting treatments now since November.
So we're finished with this trial, and my new (actually, original) protocol is to start BCPs today for 3 weeks and we have an IVF class scheduled at my clinic for the 28th. So it's looking like a July ER and August FET. All of which could have been done in April/May.

@wifeinraleigh28 - that SUCKS! I'm so sorry that you guys weren't accepted...I would be pissed too! I know all about waiting...and if things hadn't kept causing delays, I would've also had an April/May cycle, but now it's most likely July/August too!
@wifeinraleigh28 I'm so sorry I would be so frustrated if I were you. It seems like all we do is wait, so I can't imagine having waited an extra several months for something that didn't work out. Take some time for you today.

Re: June/July IVF or FET
@augustang @ocfortythree it took me a few months of IUI injections to be able to do my own shots.

Welcome @LinZ528! Congrats on those 12 eggs!
