27w2d and morning sickness has returned?!?
Tmi but I totally splattered the bathroom with vomit this morning.  My poor husband is amazing and cleaned it up while I cleaned myself up.

It seriously came out of nowhere and left me no time to make it to the toilet!
Is it the end of August yet?!

We have always only wanted two kiddos but this pregnancy seriously seals the deal.  It's been so tough!

Same here. I spent the entire night feeling like hot lava was creeping up my throat. Even after 4 of the chewy Tums, it was waking me up. With my first pregnancy, the reflux gradually got worse. This time it was pretty much barely there to all in.

  • Is anyone noticing popping noises in their belly? I am certain this didn't happen my last pregnancy, but also fairly sure I read about it happening to others on my first BMB. It sounds a lot like a joint cracking, but usually happens when I'm not moving (but normally baby is) and is clearly coming from my bump. No pain.

  • I am truly starting to waddle! Also having a hard time catching my breath. :(
  • Mine is TMI.

The he only time I've ever had a yeast infection was during pregnancy. My OB assured me, as well as Dr. Google, the changing environment can interfere with the natural balance.

Anywho. Last pregnancy I used the 7 day monistat treatment and only need two of those treatments to be fixed and it never reared its ugly head. Only symptom was the tell-tale sign of yeast.

It happened again but much less intense, I tried internal flushing during the shower but it would come back. Last night I decided to use the monistat 7 again.

Holy fuck! As soon as the treatment began to ooze my vulva was on fire. I had to take a bath and just sit in it and try to flush some of the medicine out. I had never felt like this, infection or treatment. If it continues I will just have to wait for my OB.

Sciatic nerve pain. HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP?!
Seriously, I've been having it for 2 weeks, and today it just clicked what it was. I didn't have this at all with my first.
  • @SuperFudge00  last night I started the monastat 7 too! It burned so badly! I Googled it because it really freaked me out and apparently it's normal. Uhm it def didn't feel normal.
I'm going to try it again tonight but idk

I will not be trying this again. It didn't do that the first time. I really had a very mild infection, I'm hoping it was enough.

I've had some issues with back spasms in the past. I've had to be off work for it maybe 5 times in the last 10 years. I can barely move and I can't do things normally. I can't load the dishwasher, open the fridge, get in the car, brush my teeth, etc and I walk all sideways and weird cause I get "stuck" in a position and it spasms if I try to move. I got physio for it and it got a bit better and I knew it would get worse in pregnancy. Well the last 2 days it's been happening and it's so debilitating and almost brings me to tears because it makes me so angry. I'm still off work from appendicitis but supposed to go back June 20. There is no way I can work if it's still happening. Urghhhh I'm such a miserable B to be around right now. I have a feeling it's here to stay and not going to get much better..

@RG1 I'm sorry you're dealing with that!! Back spasms are horrible and can be truly debilitating. I hope you can get some relief, maybe either with more physio or with a soft tissue specialist? That is no fun at all!

@SLou24 thank you! Good ideas. I might call my OB and see if he can give me a referral because then it will be covered by benefits. And also ask if there's anything safe to take that will help! I'm usually prescribed naproxen but can't do that. I feel bad calling so I'm putting it off but that's what he's there for!

  • @erinmarie86 the dry, cracked hands are terrible! Mine got really bad at the beginning of pregnancy, to the point that I'd see random blood spots every other day. I started using more lotion but the only thing that made a difference was changing the hand soap. We had Bath & Body Works soaps at every sink and I switched it to a Dove bar soap. I wash my hands a lot because I pee a lot now that I'm pregnant and I had no idea I'd react to the soap like that since we've always had it!

  • I was starting to swell pretty noticeably in my hands and feet, but I've realized if I guzzle water (>100 oz. a day probably) it almost disappears completely. It's easier to drink this much water while sitting at work, but I really hope this keeps the swelling at bay.

Also having regular nighttime heartburn, definitely sympathizing with pps on that one. Slightly better if I eat dinner 4ish hours before bed, but that's hard to do regularly!

  • @AlwaysAuntNeverMom oh i never thought to look at the soap! I know it was certainly the soap at work the first pregnancy...and it was worse over the weekend but we were on a little vacation, so maybe it was the soap at that house...i'll have to keep that in mind and see what i can do to switch things up.

  • Today I noticed for the first time that my nipples are starting to leak fluid. So, that's going to be a thing.
  • Today is the first time I am experiencing cramping feelings. It is not pleasant and feels like I used to when my period would start. The baby has been super active so I don't think anything is wrong....but I am curious what the cramping is about. It wouldn't be Braxton Hicks, right? I thought those weren't supposed to hurt?

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • So I have had sciatic nerve pain since around 12 weeks but it only flared up or "zinged" me when I sat down or stood up. Well yesterday I squatted down to put something in the freezer (since it is on the bottom of our refrigerator) and I lost my balance and fell on my bum. :( So all day my tailbone has been sore but and after my 45 minute drive home, I emerged from my car with mild "zingers" of pain in my left leg/shin and later my right! Like every 3-4 steps I take it tingles like when you hit your funny bone on something. I dunno if this is from my sciatic nerve, or from when I toppled over onto my butt or what. But it has not gone away and I am super uncomfortable. Add that to my stomach feeling tight and heavy like a bowling ball and the back pain today and I am just a ball of joy. :/ Any one else experience leg tingling??
Yowch! Sorry girl :( I had pain like that - where it hurt when I walked on one side but closer up by my hip/abdomen. I took it easy and chugged water like it was my job and it eventually went away. And when I'm sleeping I noticed my left hip will experience pain when I'm sleeping that radiates down my leg- closer to morning usually. And I'm with you on the heavy stomach and back pain girl. I get the tingling in my legs if they sit still too long- and my hands too. I think that part is "normal"- but it couldn't hurt to check with your OB since you had a minor fall- just to be safe. Hope you feel better!

I had this too- when the baby turns head down and nestles up in my pelvis I get some cramping and pain. Another "normal" symptom.

Oh my goodness, my pelvis! I went for a run yesterday, and it was the first time that running was actually uncomfortable, which kind of makes me sad that it's happening this early! I felt like my pelvis was ripping in two, and my pubic symphisis (where the two sides of your pelvis join in the front) has been hurting ever since. I'm thinking this may be it for my running days while pregnant..not sure if it's worth this discomfort. It's also making me waddle, which I actually find kind of funny. I'll embrace the waddle for now :)
  • I'm pretty sure my stomach is never going to feel the same again. I'm in the process of coughing up a lung and what stomach muscles I actually have are in so much pain. Between that and not being able to catch my breath anyway (thank you babies) this sucks. Oh, and BTW, I'm pretty sure that rolling from one side to the other in bed when your 28 weeks pregnant should be considered an Olympic sport. OUCH!

  • THIS HEAT!!!!!!! I have a very outdoorsy 4 yr old so staying inside all day every day isn't an option.  I've been trying to get outside time in during the morning hours 8-10ish but being outside for longer than 30 min (even sitting down!) and my feet swell up so bad that it hurts to walk.

What the heck?! This is going to be a long summer!
  • Thanks for the reassurance @SarahDarah333! :) I feel much better today and can tell the baby moved into a different position too. Last night I was convinced he was standing vertically right on my cervix, lol. Oh and the tingling in the legs only happened that one night and I haven't had any repeat occurrences since.

@Megan324 Are you feeling any better??

I'm still a little sore but nothing like yesterday

  • @unwritten12 I feel you.  I can't breathe, either.  Between the sheer volume of baby inside me and the fact that Baby B has taken up permanent residence with his butt and legs wedged into my diaphragm and right lung, I'm constantly out of breath.  Plus, I have asthma.  Yay.

  • Forgive me for some TMI- but this symptom is killing me!

I have for the most part been really... regular... int he second trimester, and then I'll have a day once a week or so where I have to poop way more frequently, and no matter how much I wipe it's like I'm never clean. So I wipe and wipe and wipe- I use the moist wipes too- and it irritates the hell out of my poor backside so badly that it will sting when I go again, and sometimes even bleed a little. I end up putting some Eucerin back there and it helps, and it always goes away within the day. But good lord I am so sick of it!!!

The marker poops. Yep. Me too. Every time I go to the bathroom, even just pee, I wipe, and still poop. So freaking annoying.

I recommend a DIY hand held bidet. Use a peri bottle ( a condiment bottle works too) to rinse back there before wiping.
A quick sitz bath will also get everything clean.
  • Have any of you ladies ever had an abdominal hernia while pregnant? Or even while not pregnant for that matter? I'm slightly worried at this point that I may have one and will be calling my OB right away in the morning. Everything from my sinuses has drained into my chest so I've been coughing pretty heavily. I started to notice some serious painoff to the side of my belly button every time I would cough. Like, it feels like my insides might spill out if I cough too much and the spot burns as well. No bulging though. Just curious if anyone else has dealt with this or something similar and how it was treated. TIA!

Do you still have your appendix? Because that sounds like about where the pain would be. I'm thinking the right side about 2 inches from your belly button is where my mom said the pain was. Definitely call your OB! Keep us updated!

Anyone dealing with Braxton hicks? I've read a lot online and I'm not sure. Sometimes it feels like baby is balling up on one side and some sites say its BH and others the baby is stretching?? Idk what to think, I didn't have this last time!

Most of the time its tense and passes but other times its painful, I didn't think much of it and didn't tell my oB last week but this weekend it happened so much I started looking it up :(

@chavezrd2 I keep getting that feeling too and I wondered if it was BH. I'm not sure. Its not necessarily painful and it doesnt really feel like a kick - more like the baby balling up on one side like you said

  • I'm now having that pain in my lower abdomen that some of you mentioned a week or two ago. I'm wondering if she has turned head down now? Hoping she did, DD1 didn't turn until like 2 weeks before I had her.
  • The vicious pregnancy cycle... Drank a cup of half-caf coffee this morning to encourage my body to produce a poop larger than a marble. That worked.. but the pooping itself along with the acidity of the coffee is now giving me terrible acid reflux. How lovely.

I get this when I've been active for a while. It would happen with DD, but was more the whole uterus and would take more exertion than this does. I brought it up at my last appt and the NP didn't seem to know what it was. Going to bring it up to the OB next week.
