@PoodleDoodleOoo I definitely considered just giving her a death stare. But, honestly, I was a little taken aback and didn't know quite how to respond so I just...twirled. Sitting back at my desk now, I'm coming up with all kinds of ways I could have gotten out of it but in the moment, I was speechless, haha!
@camichael84 I definitely see what you're saying! The only time I've ever wondered whether a woman was pregnant from behind is when we've actually been walking and I noticed the tell-tall waddling. And even then, I waited for a side or front view to confirm!
Just got all caught up on here. We spent the weekend camping (sort of... we actually slept at MIL and FIL's house instead of at the campground) with my ILs. Saturday was horrible. It rained all day. My nephew had his 1st birthday party and the shelter they rented was totally age inappropriate for my 1.5 year old. DH went and saw the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie with his brother. I'm glad he did because he never gets to do anything just the two of them anymore, but watching and chasing DD by myself at 6 months pregnant was tiring and stressful. DH did bring me back movie theater popcorn with extra butter, so that helped some.
Sunday was much nicer. The weather was great, and DD had a blast playing outside with her 2 yr old cousin.
Forgot to take my Snoogle, and realized just how much it is helping with my hip pain at night.
@AnnaS930 Night traveling is the best for us. We drove to FL through the night when DD was 7 months old because we knew it'd be easier on her. We are flying next year, though. She was great. It was hell on us. Also, I'm not sure I'm ready to drive that far with two yet.
Can't believe that we are to the point everyone is doing their GD tests now!
@Cricket Bug - Your whole post made me cringe. I'm sorry to hear what happened but glad you guys are ok. Some people just have no common sense, sympathy or empathy. I was definitely impressed with a PP with their suggestions on where to punch her.
DH actually got to join us on Saturday with the family. His boss allowed him to have the time off that he had originally requested but wouldn't give him Sunday. It was definitely better than nothing. He just had a hard time because it made him realize how much he misses being with everyone on the weekends going swimming, grilling, being out on the boat. I tell you what though, having him there on Saturday was everything!
@camichael84@JennM205- I think it's only an observation you make of women that you already knew before becoming pregnant who are currently pregnant. It's just noticing that the woman is really all belly and hasn't put on much weight in her back, butt or thighs... like saying... "the rest of you looks the same other than your belly" but instead "you don't look pregnant from behind" - which is why I can say it about myself to think "hey, I think that's what I've always looked like from behind" since what I look like when I face a mirror is such a huge change right now, but I don't say it to other pregnant women.
Also @camichael84- since my husband works 90% of weekends, I've been chasing my toddler around everywhere that we go (and we tend to have a decent sized adventure every weekend). It's especially difficult at places that are not toddler-friendly where they really can't run far. It's so exhausting. After the 3 day weekend of full on chasing, lifting and wrangling his 25lbs my bump was aching. That's when I decided I need to tell my family when I need help this summer at big events that my husband can't go to... especially once the heat fully catches up to us. I hate being stressed/frazzled but it's hard not to be when waddling after a toddler all day!
Can we just talk about laundry. I don't know a single person who likes it? Anyone?! I don't actually mind doing it, it's putting it away that sucks. I spent from 830am to now just putting away mine and DH clothes. Granted, my third tri nesting kicked in this morning and I cleaned out the whole closet and drawers while putting clothes away and secretly cried when I realized I probably won't fit into all those nice jeans I own.
I am also a weirdo and when my nesting kicks in I just want to get rid of EVERYTHING. Oh that pair of underwear? Gone. Who the F needs this old spoon? Gone. I don't like this couch here anymore, let's move that here and this lamp there and put this chair there. Am I the only one?
@Seitzy3 - i definitely want to declutter - bad! But I get that itch pretty much every spring so I'm not sure if it's being enhanced by pregnancy or what. I keep grinding DH to get more done around the house (we have so many projects to do!) and he just can't handle it.
@seitzy3- putting in laundry - like, switching to dryer - don't mind, folding - LOVE, putting away in drawers - DESPIIIISE. I literally end up living out of my clean hamper and filling up a second one before it ever gets put away. It's the absolute worst.
I also really like purging items while nesting - yesterday I cleaned out/organized the pantry and threw out all kinds of food that was near expiration or just never going to get eaten but opened (probably couldn't donate).
@seitzy3 I have been into declutter and getting rid of TONS of stuff, I have a crazy big good will pile started and I have barely scratched the declutter surface.
We have a massive storm here (detailed in Bitchfest monday!) there was a break in the storm and I convinced DH to take me to the store for "storm snacks". So now I am back with chips, cookies and icecream! Hooray!
Me: 32 DH: 31
TTC #2 since January 2018
Baby #1 DD Born 8/25/2016 BFP: 8/11/18 Due: 4/26/18
@kosmo86- That actually sounds amazing to wait out a storm with a pantry full of goodies - hey, if the power goes out you better eat that ice cream quick!! Hope all goes well and the storm blows over without too much damage!
@seitzy3 I've been throwing out things like crazy lately! I cleaned our closet a few weeks ago and got rid of a bunch of things and just yesterday did some major purging in our home office. I kept telling DH we have way too many things in the house and immediately throw out anything I feel is not important.
I also have a mental to-do list before baby gets here. I want to start it now but I feel I'll have to do everything again the month before. When I started telling DH about my list (wash the curtains, steam clean the carpets, move some furniture, etc) he looked at me wide eyed and just quietly left the room! I'm sure he thinks I'm crazy.
@AnnaS930 I also cleaned my pantry out last night. Best feeling ever. I hate wasting food but if it's expired there's nothing we can do. I also realized my cereal addiction is getting a little out of control
@PoodleDoodleOoo me too! I have a spring cleaning list every spring and the only thing I haven't done is clean the garage. I'm also overwhelming DH to get stuff done around the house. I've been asking him to put up my laundry room shelves (didn't want to spend money on cabinets and he finally did them this morning!) I have to share the pic below. My laundry room sucks and is so small it was frustrating, I needed some organization
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom I haven't even started the nursery yet I have a huge list I ran by DH and he shot me the same look. Hey if he won't do it, I will! Sorry if it's gigantic I am mobile (like always)
I had to wake up at 330 am yesterday morning to fly home from my baby shower. Fiance and I arrived home and worked on the yard all day long. We didn't stop until 8 pm. It was a VERY long day. Anyway, I barely felt baby move all day. I may have felt 5 kicks in total. Needless to say, I was semi-worried. Today the baby has been going crazy all day as I sit in my desk chair! Do you think that because I was really active yesterday I just wasn't noticing the kicks? Or do you think baby wasn't kicking as much because all the activity was soothing? Very strange.
@Sbrown721 probably a combination of both! They do love it when you're busy because they get rocked to sleep and will wake up when you stop. I've noticed that happens to me too whenever I have a busy day. I worry and a few hours later she's back to her dancing little self. If you worry again, drink something sweet and lay down on your side for half an hour.
@Sbrown721 last week when I was on vacation, we would spend nearly all day walking-- I'm talking between 10-18 miles per day (that's just what we do on vaca, we prefer to see cities by foot and explore). Anyway, my point is that I would rarely feel her when we were up and about all day, it wouldn't be until we were lounging back in our room or getting ready for dinner that I would feel her kicking around like crazy. I think it's pretty normal to not feel baby as much on really active days, I wouldn't worry!
As for laundry-- I'm so on board with @AnnaS930 in that I actually enjoy doing laundry, and even folding, but putting it away is THE WORST! DH Alwsys makes fun of me for having a pile of clean clothes on top of my hamper, I swear I can't help it. It's like a disability.
Ive also been purging like crazy lately too-- I got rid of 3 trash bags full of clothes the other weekend and it felt so good!! Granted, we're probably moving this summer so it has to happen anyway, but I feel like a major purge before baby is exactly what we need.
@Sbrown721 - I agree with @AlwaysAuntNeverMom that it is a combination of both. I also feel less baby movements when I have a busy day. It worried me last pregnancy, but this time around I am a lot more calm about it. Some of it comes with being a STM, but I think it is in part that this child is overall more active than my first so when I realize I haven't felt her in a while it doesn't take long to actually notice her move once I start paying attention.
OMG I think putting anything away is my other disability. Like I don't mind washing the dishes, but I won't put them away. Ever. I don't mind vacuuming, but shoving the vacuum back in the closet is just one step too many. Grocery shopping is a total breeze. Unloading and putting away the groceries is like being greeted by Satan.

@Sbrown721I'm thinking a joint activity/soothing thing. My baby does the same thing. I was really active this weekend and was worried all Saturday, but then Sunday when I was more chill, the baby would not stop moving, same today at my desk. I think the more motion you're in the more soothing it is to baby.
It might sound weird but yesterday was the first time I actually felt like I have a human living in my belly. She must have changed positions this weekend because at one point my belly got flat on the front and I felt this painful pressure on the top part of my stomach when I leaned forward. Then my lower belly got really low and round and I feel her movements in a different place. It's so strange and fun at the same time!
@AnnaS930 totally hear you as far as looking for hotel rooms with suites. We stayed in a place last year that had two separate rooms, but the bedroom and living room were so close that I know the commotion from the tv/us talking would've woken him. We ended up putting the pack n play in the bathroom. I felt bad, but everyone slept soundly. It sucked when I had to go pee though as we had to use the lobby bathroom :-0.

This little guy is the same way. When I'm active he's very still. But as I lay on the couch or sit at my desk he's movin and shakin!
I assumed that it was a combo of both! Phew! I appreciate the reassurance!
I really am so surprised at what a worrier I have become this pregnancy. I hope I'm not like this with my second! I don't think I will worry half as much once baby is out!

Worrying is totally normal because with every ache and pain, you wonder if that's normal and then when you're told it's normal, you wonder if your concern is different. It's rough. Then when baby is here, the worry translates to whether baby is eating/sleeping pooping enough/too much. Welcome to motherhood
I have a big wooden desk in the middle of my office with a glass top. I also have a calendar that I pull the months off of and put them under the glass. I keep the current month and following month under there. I just pulled off July, which means next will be July + August, so then the next will be August + September! So we are one more month from September being exposed on my calendar! Lol

I was crying in my OB's office early in this pregnancy because of some spotting (that happened exactly as far along as with my loss) and he told me this same thing. He welcomed me into parenthood and said the worry will never end, from the time the pregnancy test dries through to the rest of your life, you will worry about your kids!
@seitzy3 I love doing laundry! I just don't like putting it away.
I learned to do laundry when I went away to college (I was the spoiled kid who had no chores or any idea how to do anything around the house) and laundry day was always my favorite, even though it meant sitting around in the nasty, creepy laundry room in our dorm for a couple hours. Actually putting my clothes away when I came back upstairs, though, not so fun.
Do you ever wonder/worry that someone you know is also on this ap? Lol there are 3 women I know that are due in September and I just wonder if I have talked to them on here and didn't know it
@Seitzy3 I'm loving your laundry room shelves!! What a transformation!
I, too, have been in full-on nesting mode. I am so, so, so fortunate, though, that DH is, too! He was like this with DD as well. Seriously - I told him I was pregnant and the first words that came out of his mouth were, "I need to get started on the nursery." This time has been no different - he finished the nursery this past weekend (which was no small feat as there was actual construction involved) and is already talking about what project he wants to tackle next. We have a big BBQ every year and it's coming up in three weeks. He's talking about building onto our outdoor fire pit, pulling an old stump out of the ground, cutting down some arbor vitae that's seen better days, re-staining our backyard playground (which is huge) AND cleaning out and organizing the garage all before the party. It seems like an unrealistic list - but if anyone can do it, he can! What a guy!
@PoodleDoodleOoo I would go to the break room and be like, 'OMG, did you hear Fred's fart earlier?' To anyone there. I'd probably try to play it cool so hard I'd seem guilty though...
