Still at my clinic waiting for BW but my RE came out and said she is thinking trigger tonight but will confirm with the ivf center and call later. I finally got some numbers too looks like about 13 with the best three at 21,20,19 and like 4 good ones at 16-14. Fx
@Tusername good luck on Tuesday! Let us know how it all goes! We will be transferring one embryo as well likely on June 7th. That would be so great if you had a surprise for DH after your beta!

I went for my SIS yesterday, which was pretty unremarkable. I apparently have a perfect uterus, which was nice to hear No lumps or bumps or anything to navigate around when it comes time for our transfer.
I also got good news about the $$$. We had paid in full for our ER, which ended up being cancelled on CD7 because my ovaries did not respond to the stims. I had had 2 or 3 US's and a few blood draws, but that is it. I spoke with the financial people athe clinic, and it turns out my insurance is somehow paying for those USs and blood draws and we have a credit with them that is several thousand dollars more than I was expecting. Good times!
We switched up my protocol a bit--I am going to be doing delestrogen injections instead of the Vivelle patches. The shots are IM, which is not my most favorite thing in the world, but it saves us about $1000, so I'll gladly do it.
I was also able to schedule my suppression check appointment for 6/15 and get my meds ordered through MDS for delivery sometime next week.
So nice to have things moving along well!
Me: Age 38 Husband: Age 39 Chemo killed my ovaries Currently:1 female embryo frozen at blastocyte stage, graded 6AA with a BRCA1 mutation 4/16 ER cancelled on CD7: 1 follicle on L/ 0 follicles on R Now planning FET 7/6/16 Also starting ER in June (my sister is donating eggs), and will try for a boy/second pregnancy
I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, and feel like I know you all already...
@sleepyrn - I also work shifts in the hospital and have a 3p-11p before my next scan (@7am) and if ER is Wednesday I work 3-11p on Tuesday as well. Makes all this a bit more interesting from a scheduling and sleep perspective, but I love what I do and couldn't imagine doing anything else!
@cmm012 - I don't have nearly your numbers and am so uncomfortable already...can't imagine what it will feel like in 4 more days...so glad you're starting to feel better.
@Tusername - so happy for you and your FET on Tuesday! It still feels very far away and hearing about the successes of others has helped keep me going through this crazy process.
Good luck to everyone stimming or waiting! We will get through this together!

@wifeinraleigh28 we will be doing a fresh transfer, RE said today looks like my numbers are perfect with no signs for concern of OHSS. dont know if it will be a 3 or 5 day transfer until they start growing. RE did call and confirm tonight is trigger for Monday retrieval and ivf center called with all the instructions. being my first time this is all so surreal.
Welcome @HappyDays13! Thank you for wishing me well. I'm almost back to normal with some lingering back pain and pain on my right side. All together, I've lose 7 pounds of fluid since last week!
@rmarble23 Yay for trigger! You are getting there!

@Knottie1456036854 so glad your SIS went so well! A "perfect uterus" is definitely a good thing at a time like this . Great news about the money and getting things scheduled. It's so nice to hear about good things happening when going through all this!
@Tusername I think this is probably the only time in our life when saying I did not ovulate is a good thing. Your beta will be here in no time! Where are you going, hopefully somewhere fun?
@emgem819 are you doing a natural or medicated cycle?
@rmarble23 that's great news! Everything is so surreal! Especially when you're in the room and they show you your embro on the monitor right before transfer!
afm- I just ordered my meds yesterday, at like 10:30 in the morning, and they were on my doorstep when I woke up this morning! Now it's feeling real. It's been a while (almost 5 years) since I've gotten one of these boxes.

@cat4151 sorry been posting on the April/May IVF board so probably didn't properly explain myself here! I just did a medicated cycle last month of IVF and couldn't do a fresh transfer because I had mild OHSS so my body needed to rest! Taking Estrace pills 3x a day now and on board for FET on June 7th if all goes well! Good luck to you in this cycle...congrats on getting your meds--that's always when it starts to get real! Exciting!

@emgem819 I understand now..I saw that you had OHSS and needed to wait and do a FET, but I wasn't sure if you were doing a natural cycle with the FET. Kind of a bummer to have the time drawn out so long, but at least you're feeling better. And it seems more and more clinics are leaning towards just doing FETs for some reason anyways. Thank you! Yes, we've had our embie on ice for almost 5 years and have been thinking about it this whole time, knowing that we would transfer, it's just so hard to believe that the time was here...till I opened that box

Hi ladies, just wanted everyone to know that I recently started a little infertility blog, https://realinfertility.wordpress.com/. I hope by sharing my story, others can join in and it can become a resource and support center. I will still be active on this site, but thought I would let you all know. Thanks!

thanks @annebenton22 i have enjoyed reading blogs to see what others are thinking and going through....def has been a source of hope and support for me
Welcome @Happydays13! I put you down as IVF, but if it's an FET feel free to edit it yourself or I can do it for you
Thanks for posting your blog @annebenton22, I enjoyed reading your story and I will plan to follow you!
How is everyone's Memorial Day weekend going so far? It's been wonderful weather here until today (it's supposed to rain non stop). DH and I went to the pool yesterday and had some friends over for a cook out (or a BBQ as we would say if I was still in Cali). I am also not ashamed at all to admit that I spent over $300 this weekend on LulaRoe clothes If you are unfamiliar with what this is, you should look it up because it is obsession-worthy!!
wifeinraleigh28 - ER is next (hopefully 6/1), and we are doing genetic testing, so will be a FET (probably end of June/early July) because it takes 2 weeks to get the results back. Thanks for the chart, it's fantastic and very helpful to keep up with everybody's cycle!
rmarble23 - Wishing you an uneventful and productive retrieval and transfer! so exciting that you are so close!
emgem819 - Hope your prep for FET goes well, that your lining is thick and that embaby sticks!
Knottie1456036854 - congrats on the pretty uterus! I know that I never imagined I'd get to see the inside of mine, and be proud of it...this infertility journey has some interesting quirks, a year ago I would never thought I'd be encouraging someone for a thick lining and complimenting a pretty uterus!
Can I have a rant for a second? We had a minor castastrophe yesterday... After my ultrasound and bloodwork on friday, I had hoped for ER to be Monday or Tuesday (for a few reasons: running out of Gonal F and have a vacation planned for next weekend with DH: we finally just planned it, after 6 months of not going anywhere because we never knew if we needed to be in town for testing/scanning/etc). When we found out that it would be wednesday at the earliest, I needed to have more Gonal ordered...
TIP: save your injector pens - the RE can extract whatever minute amount is left in the syringes and add them together to get you an additional dose (I of course had thrown them out after the 450 that was supposed to be in them was used), so called the pharmacy friday, paid $450, for delivery of the ONE additional pen to arrive yesterday...with instructions that Fedex could leave it without a signature because I knew I would be out during the afternoon and didn't want to risk them not leaving it.
Then got a call on my cell from FedEx yesterday morning that the address on the package was wrong (one letter transposed) and that it would be out for delivery...so continued to check every hour or so on the website so I'd know when to run home and get it in the fridge, and on my last check, it said delivery cancelled because no one was home...called FedEx and they said the station was closed and they would retry delivery on TUESDAY! The driver had apparently decided he was uncomfortable leaving the package without someone signing for it...though didn't call me, even though my phone number was on the box, and was taking the box back to sit in a warehouse (not a fridge) for 3 days due to the holiday weekend... When I explained it was refrigerated medication, they said I could come get it at the station due to these special circumstances...and eventually I got the box, but added stress that made this Memorial Day weekend quite memorable!
Rant over...
So ready for retrieval this week and hope we don't have to cancel or trip to New York. Any thoughts on flying after retrieval? Am I naive to think I can get on a plane 1-2 days after ER?

Thanks for the luck @Happydays13 and I'm sorry you had to go through such a stressful experience to get more meds. The place I got meds from asked if we wanted a signature required and I said we did for the big shipment for smaller ones I've always waived it. I can't believe they didn't even call you though...yuck. Glad it got sorted out. I really think it varies if you'll be ok to travel 1-2 days post ER. I certainly was not but I also had 33 eggs taken out and was in a lot of pain. If you don't have pcos you'll probably be fine. I'll let others chime in though!

@Happydays13 I am sorry you had to go through the stress of that. I completely understand what you mean about not being able to plan any trips for fear of missing out on a fertility test, etc. We have barely traveled this year and don't have any major plans. I really hope you get to go on your trip, and unless they think you would have to be there for a transfer, I would definitely go if you feel up to it. I hate that this disease can uproot your whole life. This too shall pass, good luck!

@happydays13 I'm so glad your meds got figured out! Like we need any added stress! The night of my trigger for IVF I was getting everything ready a few hours prior so I wouldn't have to do it late at night and realized the pharmacy had given us the wrong kind/form of Lupron!! Talk about stress! Thankfully DH took control, called the on call nurse and pharmacy and drove 30 min each way in severe weather. We laugh about it now but I was a wreck!
I felt fairly fine following ER but took the following day off work just because I was still a little uncomfortable and had the sick time. I think it took me 2-3 days to feel fully normal but my day #3 was totally fine. Just listen to your body and FX you are able to enjoy your trip!! Any special plans while you are in NY?
@Happydays13 ugh I would've been LIVID! Glad you kept your composure and figured it all out! My ER wasn't bad at all. They got 24 eggs out, but I was fine the day after. Just minor cramping. Hope yours goes just as smoothly!
AFM - my ER was 5/26 and my transfer will be 5/31, so I figured I could join this group! We have 21 embryos as of now... we are thrilled! GL to all of you!!

@Happydays13 I think I would have been able to fly, but would have been VERY uncomfortable. Sitting upright without being able to slouch was painful for me until day 3 I think. (But I was overstimulated) I do hope it works out for you though. We’ve had to cancel many things and it’s no fun.

@babylonghorn16 that is great about your embryo number!! Hope that number continues to stay high!
AFM, I've just been trying to relax and enjoy this weekend. I own a horse, so this was my last weekend to be able to ride for awhile with starting stims soon. @emgem819 I'm doing a FET this month after OHSS also. So exciting that your date is so soon! Hope everything goes as planned.
@wifeinraleigh28 We are doing a natural cycle for the transfer, so my date is somewhere between day 18-24 of my cycle. I should know more after BW this Saturday.
Had bloodwork/us done today (I went yesterday too. Amazing they're open weekends/holidays) and they said I trigger at midnight-thirty tonight. ER at 12:30 Wednesday!
Tonight we're going out to celebrate our anniversary, gamble a little and relax at the hotel. Tomorrow I have bloodwork and last minute instructions.
Good luck to all!

Question: Those of you who had OHSS - what were your symptoms? Would I absolutely know if I had it? A little nervous bc I've been a little uncomfortable... feels like I have a stich in my side. Been a little tender in my belly too. Kind of feels like I have gas built up. But no weight gain and I'm able to move about in my usual way. I'm afraid to bring it up to my nurse bc I don't want her to overreact... we don't really click. I think I'm fine, but just wanted to hear yall's experiences with OHSS. Thanks!!

I hope that OHSS isn't happening to you. I think someone in the April/May group had it pretty bad and she posted in there about her symptoms.

yay @sleepyrn for trigger....12:30 for ER tho...i would die of starvation
AFM ER went really well today, well one minor hiccup. I went in and they first verified my bracelet was correct and my DOB was wrong. i went into an almost hysterical meltdown. i think it was worse b/c my DH was off in his own little room for his "deposit". i knew it would be fixed, i mean i work in the industry i know its a simple fix no big deal but it sent me over the edge. the poor nurse, she was great and knew it was only stupid hormones. anyways in and out 20 eggs in 20 min lol. i was shocked with the number of eggs since i was thinking like 10-13. now im feeling pretty darn good which im also surprised since after my fibroid removal i was down for the count for a couple days. I will get the call tomorrow on fertilization and then on wednesday about the transfer
@babylonghorn16 I would not worry unless you start to gain weight. I had mild OHSS after my retrieval, but never gained enough weight for it to become serious. I hope you feel better soon!
@Tusername - sorry I thought your transfer was today! But good luck tomorrow!! Also, have you been doing your own PIO injections (I feel like I remember you mentioning it before...)? If so, any tips?? During both of my previous cycles, I've had DH do all of the PIO injections, but there is a chance I may have to do some of them this time around due to travel plans. I'm less scared of the pain and more worried about HOW to actually reach my hip area with enough force to get it in there? Hahah!
@chicandbubbly and @sleepyrn The three of us will be PUPO one week from today! Woo hoo! How are you guys feeling?
I had my Day 14 check yesterday with b/w and u/s. Everything looks good for our transfer one week from today! I'm feeling really good and optimistic. Trying to keep stress at bay and focus on good, happy thoughts.

@BlueEyedDreamer Yes, I am doing all my PIO’s myself! I was so nervous and watched like 2 hours of how to videos before my first injection, haha. This is what works well for me: I stack 3 pillows on my bed and lay on my side using the pillows to prop up my upper half and inject my bootay. Laying down makes it more comfortable and easier to reach for me!
@babylonghorn16 I will be thinking about you tomorrow transfer buddy!!!! Tomorrow's our day.
afm- I am spending the day cleaning my house and tidying up my yard and garden so I will be able to bed rest in peace tomorrow! There’s no way I’d be able to bed rest with a messy house. Tomorrow is the day my little emmie gets to have the chance to succeed! My appt is tomorrow at 11:30am CA time.

@babylonghorn16, I haven't had OHSS, but I have been uncomfortable after stims. I felt bloated and had to wear stretchy skirts, no snug pants. I couldn't go for a walk because it felt like a stitch in my side. And ultimately I was under stimulated and the cycle was cancelled, so I think that was all normal.
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs. 2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs. Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire. Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus! fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP! Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
afm-I'm not feeling very positive. I had a scan on Friday which would have been CD10, RE said my lining and mucus looked great, right where they were supposed to be within days of ovulation, but my ovaries weren't there. She seemed a little stumped. So I go for another scan tomorrow. I don't know what to think, I just feel - blah.
Me & DH - 41, DH has a cyst blocking his tubes, I'm just old. IVF #1 scheduled May 2016 - 375/525 follistim, 75 menopur - cancelled cycle Day 6 IVF #2 scheduled July 2016 - new protocol, switcharoo...IUI June 2016 - BFN IVF#3 scheduled August 2016 - estrogen & testosterone primed for 3 wks - ganirelix 7 days leading up to stim - 500 follistim, 75 menopur, 150 clomid , no follicle growth on day 6, stopped injectibles. Scanned day 9 just to check, some growth, 3 days 200 mg clomid, day 12 more growth, 100 follistim, 75 menopur, start ganirelix on day 13, ER = 0 eggs, ovulated to soon ( ) IVF#4 scheduled Sept 2016 - Microdose Flare protocol, cancelled stim day 6 converted to IUI (one dominant follicle) IUI cancelled ovulated too soon again. Taking a mental health break. IVF#5 December 2016 - New protocol, same results. My adventure is over.
I am on Day 8 of stims and things are going well but I thought it would be faster. I thought I would be having my ER next week but it will probably be the week after. I go back in on Thursday (Day 11) for another ultrasound and bloodwork. How many days of stims is normal?

Hi Ladies! I would like to join the group. I'm 37 DH 41. We have MFI due to partial retrograde due to MVA 20 yrs ago. We recently did 3 back to back retrievals because I have a lower AFC like 8-10. 1st cycle had 9 retrieved 5 mature, 5 fertilized and ended up with 1- 5 day 5BB embryo. 2nd retrieval we got 14 eggs 7 mature and 5 fertilized and ended with 3- 3BB embryos. 3rd retrieval we had 12 retrieved 9 mature 6 fertilized and ended with 2-4AA embryos and 1-2BB embryo. So we now have a total of 7 embryos banked for our July 11th FET. We are getting excited as we did our 1st retrieval in February so it's been a long process. We were originally scheduled for a June transfer but due insurance authorization not being complete in time it had to be pushed off until July! But I am grateful that we have coverage so I won't complain.
Me-36 healthy
DH-41 MFI due to Retrograde

Chemo killed my ovaries
Currently:1 female embryo frozen at blastocyte stage, graded 6AA with a BRCA1 mutation
4/16 ER cancelled on CD7: 1 follicle on L/ 0 follicles on R
Now planning FET 7/6/16
Also starting ER in June (my sister is donating eggs), and will try for a boy/second pregnancy

I am also not ashamed at all to admit that I spent over $300 this weekend on LulaRoe clothes

rmarble23 - Wishing you an uneventful and productive retrieval and transfer! so exciting that you are so close!
emgem819 - Hope your prep for FET goes well, that your lining is thick and that embaby sticks!

I felt fairly fine following ER but took the following day off work just because I was still a little uncomfortable and had the sick time. I think it took me 2-3 days to feel fully normal but my day #3 was totally fine. Just listen to your body and FX you are able to enjoy your trip!! Any special plans while you are in NY?

AFM, I've just been trying to relax and enjoy this weekend. I own a horse, so this was my last weekend to be able to ride for awhile with starting stims soon. I braved the heat to ride but it was worth it! I go in tomorrow for my suppression check, and if all is well, I'll start stims Friday! It's starting to feel so close finally!

@wifeinraleigh28 We are doing a natural cycle for the transfer, so my date is somewhere between day 18-24 of my cycle. I should know more after BW this Saturday.
Tonight we're going out to celebrate our anniversary, gamble a little and relax at the hotel. Tomorrow I have bloodwork and last minute instructions.
Good luck to all!

@msirni0 GL on your appt tomorrow!
Thanks!!

Trying to keep stress at bay and focus on good, happy thoughts.

afm-I'm not feeling very positive. I had a scan on Friday which would have been CD10, RE said my lining and mucus looked great, right where they were supposed to be within days of ovulation, but my ovaries weren't there. She seemed a little stumped. So I go for another scan tomorrow. I don't know what to think, I just feel - blah.

IVF#4 scheduled Sept 2016 - Microdose Flare protocol, cancelled stim day 6 converted to IUI (one dominant follicle)
