@caseyw8784 She has no clue why it's doing that. She said it was fine about a week ago on the ultrasound. I can't think of anything crazy I've done that would move it like that.

@sleepyrn welcome! I had my ER at the beginning of May but will be doing a frozen transfer the end of June so I'm just hanging out till then.
My left ovary hid at times as well. If I even had the slightest amount of gas in my abdomen it pushed it into an awkward position that some sono techs couldn't find. It varied appointment to appointment so hopefully yours cooperates!! They never told me they would have any issues getting to it at retrieval so fingers crossed yours won't be an issue!!
@mtpbadger Thank you. They are aiming for end of May/June 1 ER so I have about a week.

@Tusername -congrats on your 8 frosties! Your transfer is right around the corner.
@rmarble23 -I have been somewhat open with friends, femily, and co-workers re everything that we've gone through over the years. I just don't give a super detailed report, they wouldn't understand like the ladies on a board like this would. But it's hard to hide it completely with all the appointments and medications, and I didn't want any more questions about why we didn't have kids yet, once people knew they asked less questions.
@sleepyrn - you have a ton of follicles. I'm sure that's somewhat stressful, thinking that they may only use the right, but even if that's the case at least the right has so many.
Afm- I haven't figured out how to put a sig at the bottom but a little about me: Me: 40 (PCOS) DH: 45 (High FSH, low count, & low morphology) Metformin & Clomid Sep '06 - Sep '07:bfn: found out we had male factor and DH refused mTese (was afraid) so moved on to IUI's with donor sperm. Aug '10 to Jan '11 IUI's #1-5 :bfn: After 5 failed IUI's with donor sperm decided to move on to IVF and since we had to do that DH agreed to mTese. DH mTese March '11 1st IVF June '11- Antagonist Protocol: 21 ER, 20 mature, 11 fertilized with ICSI, 3dt- 2 (8 cell, 0% fragmentation), 0 frozen :bfn: 2nd IVF Aug '11- Long Lupron Protocol: 23 ER, 18 mature, 10 fertilized with ICSI, 5dt- 2 (blasts), 1 blast frozen :bfp: Yesterday had saline hysteroscopy and mock transfer. Mock transfer went fine then RE had quite a bit of difficulty getting the tube in for the hysteroscopy and caused a lot of cramping and bleeding, but I feel much better today and everything looked good. So now just waiting for AF, which is due around June 9, then I'll start BCP then Lupron then Estrace, then Prometrium with a FET on July 20 with our one and only frozen blast. I'm currently doing acupuncture, I did it with both my fresh cycles and I love it.

Welcome to our group @sleepyrn! Will you be doing a fresh or frozen transfer? GL with the rest of your stim cycle, looks like your ER will be here before you know it!
@cat4151, to add a signature, click the person in the top right of the page (it says 'account options' when you hover over it). Then on the left menu, click 'signature settings.' And there you will see a text box where you type in your signature! Based on the history you just typed out for us, I'm guessing this is baby #2 that you are trying for? Best of luck with your little frosty!!!

I finally got a call from my doc about what our plan will be. He wants me to wait for another goddamn cycle, and won't let me start any earlier. I'm to call on the 10th in induce a period, because he's an idiot and thinks I'll start one by then, even though he knows I have months long cycles. Then I'll do 1-2 weeks of bcps (I'm going to push for one because I'm impatient) then start into Lupron and Estrace. He thinks we're looking at 6-8 weeks before another transfer, but I know better. I have a feeling It'll be the last week of July before we transfer, which is 9 weeks away. I hate him so much sometimes. I don't need a fucking break, I want to get started on my next cycle. He doesn't seem to understand that. On the plus side, he is fine with transferring all 3 of our remaining embryos. Ugh, life is not good right now. I try to be a positive person, but infertility makes that really challenging.

@AandDM2014 I'm so sorry your transfer has been pushed back. I looked at your siggy and can definitely see why you would be anxious to start again. I've also been pushed back a month for my first transfer. I hope you find a way to be productive during your month off. Keep advocating for yourself, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that AF shows up sooner rather than later.

@aanddm2014 I am so sorry to hear about your setback!! I am frustrated for you! Like @cmm012 said, keep being an advocate for yourself, remember, you are paying him. And while he is a professional in the field, sometimes we know our bodies best. Are there any other doctors in your clinic that you can speak with and bring up your concerns? It sounds like your dr isn't really open to hearing you. FX that AF shows up unexpectedly!
AFM - I just contacted an acupuncturist not too far from my work. It is totally outside of my comfort zone but I figure it can't hurt to try, right? Waiting on a call back to schedule the first appointment. I looked at several but couldn't really tell what a "good" acupuncturist entails so I went with the closest location wise. Anyone have any advice?
@mtpbadger - I'm just beginning my IVF journey but I just started doing acupuncture and LOVE it! The reason I'm going is because I have multiple friends who truly believe it helped them conceive and carry a pregnancy to term. I'm not going to lie - some of the stuff my acupuncturist tells me seems fishy but as you said, it can't hurt to try. I have a friend who went through SEVEN IVFs and the only one that took (last one), happened when she did acupuncture. My RE actually recommends it, so that helped me feel more comfortable about it. FX for you and blessings as well! xo

@OCfortythree I have my first appointment next Tuesday! I'm excited/nervous. My DH encouraged me to try it and said to give it at least 3 tries before deciding if I like it or think it's working which I think is a good idea. He thinks I'm a big ball of stress and is hoping it will help with that. I tell him this is just how I've always been, lol.
@mtpbadger - it's going to be a little weird but you can barely feel the needles - and sometimes not at all. My DH is actually the one who went first, as he has shoulder issues. He initially thought it was "voodoo medicine", LOL but after that first appointment, he's a believer and has better range of motion in the hurt shoulder than in his healthy one! He mentioned there was a woman there who specializes in fertility acupuncture, so I went. It's super-relaxing and I am sleeping better - I just feel better in general and definitely less stressed. I'll be curious to see how you like it. Go in with an open mind and see what happens. I have an appt Tues as well - that will be my 3rd If you want your insurance to cover it, ask the acupuncturist to bill under something other than fertility - i.e. stress or pick anything else that might ail you. They probably already know the drill but might not hurt to ask. I know I had a long list of things of ailments they could put! Ha

Hi all, I'm officially jumping in on this thread as well. I did one IVF cycle in April and have one frozen embryo in the bank. We are going to do another cycle starting mid/end June to try and get a few more embryos to work with before moving on to FET in August.
I know several of you from the April/May thread so looking forward to continuing to follow your progress and also meet all of the new ladies on this thread. Looking forward to lots of BFPs!

Hi all, I had scheduled an us apt today to see if I needed to get medicine to bring on AF and last night/this morning I started spotting. I haven't had a natural AF since I went off bcp in Feb 2015 so I take this as a small victory. My Re is going to take this as cd1 so I'll start bcp Friday night. Things are finally moving!
@wifeinraleigh28I'll be doing fresh as long as I don't overstimulate.

@cmm012 Thank you. I sure hope I can find something to occupy my time. Maybe I'll start crocheting again. I'm sorry yours has been pushed a month, though if you're waiting and not doing a fresh transfer and instead doing an FET, I totally agree that you should. If your numbers are in any way off from the ideal, it's best to wait. I wish I had.
@mtpbadger Thanks! There are I think 4 other doctors, but I don't know that it works that way at my clinic. The only time I ever see or hear from a different doc is when mine is out of the country. Even when he is traveling within the US I still hear from him. He luckily is going to do a shorter bcp bit, but it's still longer than I had wanted. I'm hoping the extra time off will mean a success, and he's allowing me to transfer 3 5 days, even though I'm young. I hope you have fun getting needles stabbed into you on purpose!
@ale9687 Woot! Congrats on a natural AF. I too just got my first natural AF in almost 2 years (thanks infertility treatment!). Hopefully it's a good sign for you!

@mtpbadger my acupuncturist has a website with all of his credentials and then when i went in to meet him for the first time he was soo nice and calming and you could tell he was competent when it came to the stuff. now i am finding he isn't up on the infertility stuff, ivf specifically but he is focusing on conception and what he calls "happy baby points". Really just go by your comfort with the person, i mean they are stabbing you so you should trust them lol
today i went for my 2nd u/s to check progress and they have lowered my gonalf slightly for tonight and blood work again tomorrow. they haven't given me any information as to how many, what size anything, dont know if that is just my clinic or i need to ask?? i asked about when to expect a possible date for ER and my nurse couldn't give me anything, she said we will know more after bw tomorrow and i think u/s on friday. im just concerned with the holiday weekend coming up.
@rmarble23 My ultrasound techs sometimes tell me, but the nurse always tells me my estrogen level, follicle count and size when she calls. My clinic says they are open for the holiday weekend for IVF patients, so maybe yours will be as well if you are getting close to ER. Hopefully they have more info either way for you on Friday!

@AandDM2014 -sorry your RE didn't have a better reason and that you have added stress during all this. Have they ever tried putting you on metformin to see if that helps your cycles? With my PCOS my cycles used to be anywhere from 14 days to 6 months! And with metformin most of the time it'd be around 32 days.
@mtpbadger that's great that you're giving acupuncture a try! My clinic actually recommends it. The acupuncturist I see specializes in women's health and is board certified fellow of the ABORM, (American Board of Reproductive Medicine). I would see if anyone in your area is board certified. She is so knowledgeable, she can read the labs and adjust what she's doing based on that, and when I told her about the stage my embryo is she knew exactly what I was talking about.
@lilmissslp for both my IVF cycles I was on Lupron 10 units for 11 days and then dropped to 5 units the rest of the time (12 days) till the ER.
@wifeinraleigh28 - You're welcome! I love avocados too, but my DH can't eat them so I don't get them so now I have an excuse to spend the money. I'm shopping for beet juice too!

Morning everyone! Looks like I'll be joining this group. Just got a negative beta yesterday from my first IVF cycle. DH and I are both 35 and Tuesday was our 2 year anniversary. We've been TTC since we got married. 3 failed IUIs and now 1 failed IVF. AF came this morning so I'm sure I'll go in for my Day 3 US this weekend. We've got 2 furbabies (9.5yo chocolate lab and a 10.5mo St. Bernard/Bernese mix) and we can't wait to bring siblings home for them!!
@krgyzshan i'm so sorry to hear about your result yesterday. i'm in a similar boat- my FET came back on May 9 with a BFN. onward and upward to getting babies to hang with our furbabies!

@krgyzshan so sorry your firs ivf didn't work. Will you be doing another fresh or FET cycle? I have two fur babies also although not as big as yours! My sister has two chocolate labs, they make great playmates for babies.
@krgyzshan I'm so sorry your first IVF didn't work but glad you have two furbabies to hopefully comfort you (plus your DH). I am super jealous of your furbabies, we currently live in a condo and can't have any pets so I'm trying to convince DH to move just so I can get a dog, lol. He's not quite on board with that yet but I think I'm slowly wearing him down
@krgyzshan I'm so sorry for your BFN. Welcome to our group! I have 3 furbabies. I haven't been able to get pregnant, so I just keep getting more dogs lol!

Afm- I haven't figured out how to put a sig at the bottom but a little about me: Me: 40 (PCOS) DH: 45 (High FSH, low count, & low morphology)
Metformin & Clomid Sep '06 - Sep '07:bfn: found out we had male factor and DH refused mTese (was afraid) so moved on to IUI's with donor sperm.

Yesterday had saline hysteroscopy and mock transfer.

And there you will see a text box where you type in your signature! Based on the history you just typed out for us, I'm guessing this is baby #2 that you are trying for?
