Husband is not a huge watermelon fan and I've only seen the giant ones in the store do we have abstained. I'm totally team strawberry though!! And currently they're like $2/lb so I'm eating them all!!!
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom hope you're feeling better and everything comes back good from your tests!
@mom2adoodle hope your pup is doing better! It's a similar feeling of helplessness when your kids are sick. After all pets are just our four-legged children.
@Sbrown721 I'm partial to Aiden as its my oldest son's name. Suprisingly we've only ever come across one other Aiden in his age group and they've haven't ever been in the same class so it hasn't been a problem. Lots of rhyming names though- Hayden, Brayden, Jaden, Caden, etc etc
And yay for everyone getting good ultrasound results!!!
@Thscary - I was going to ask if you were sick but then I realized that I did the same thing last week (outside of the RXs I had to pick up). I made up for it on Sunday though.... I'm pretty sure my Target addiction could qualify as a sickness.
I know every pregnancy is different. But for any BTDT moms, are you surprised by how different this pregnancy is to prior ones? Or is it pretty similar? I feel like last time was a breeze compared to this pregnancy in some respects. For example (sorry for the TMI), the discharge. There was very little, if any, of this last pregnancy. I didn't need to wear pantyliners. And now.....well, things are certainly different. I also haven't gotten my libdo boost like last time (poor, poor DH). Of course there's being tired to the extreme (ok, maybe that has to do with have two other kids. But still...), being way more hungry this time around and being in more extreme pain.
@UnwritteN12 I went to look for maternity shorts but they didn't have much of a selection, and I was able to resists shopping the rest of the store by some miracle
Am I the only one whose completely obsessed with watermelon right now?! I want it all day every day!
No. I've been dying for watermelon since March. I've bought about 5 melons and had to toss them all! They just aren't in season and what is shipping here is terrible this year. I'm hoping as June approaches that I'm going to find some tasty watermelon. Then I'm going to eat it all.
@UnwritteN12 I had a lot less morning sickness this time around. However the exhaustion is way worse and it seems like a lot of symptoms are starting a lot earlier (acid reflux). Also I feel a lot bigger this time around but can't compare much cause I didn't take many pictures till near the end last time.
@UnwritteN12- I've found this pregnancy to be identical to my last one.. but then again my little man is only 17 months old so maybe that has something to do with it?
Since we are outside of Monday bitchfest, I'm leaving this here: I want to say a big F you to the Fed Ex guy for ringing the doorbell in the middle of DD's nap (effectively waking her) when dropping off our diapers and wipes from Amazon. We both know you didn't have to ring the bell.
@camichael84- I have joked about making one of those signs you see on pinterest about not ringing the doorbell before baby #2 comes. I can handle (angrily) 1 child being woken from a nap, but I see it spiraling if both happen to be down (a miracle?) and get woken. Something along the lines of: "Please do not ring the bell. It upsets the dog, Which upsets the baby, which upsets the mom" .. I always thought they were ridiculous when they'd pop up in my feed, but a few doorbell rings and hysterical dog and baby instances later and I totally get it
@camichael84 Ughh! How frustrating! There are cute Pinterest signs that you can laminate and stick on your door/over the doorbell with a note about there being a baby napping so please don't ring the doorbell. I am the type of person that would forget to stick the sign out each time or I'd accidentally leave it there all day!
@Sbrown721- Great minds think alike! I would probably just leave it out there all the time, at least in the early weeks when the baby naps so much. There's also some that have a nice message of how "family and friends are welcome" and gives maybe a cell phone number to text/call. I'd prefer that.
@Unwritten12 I'm definitely in the boat of being surprised at how different this pregnancy is than it was with my last. I LOVED being pregnant with DD. I had some icky first trimester symptoms but after that, I felt great!! I had no unusual food cravings and was easily able to eat nutritiously and maintain eating habits fairly similar to pre-pregnancy. I honestly wondered if woman made up the cravings in their minds!
This time, my symptoms are all coming sooner and are stronger. I'm so much more tired (granted, partially due to raising a toddler this time around), I feel/look bigger and I have mad food cravings and am hungry constantly! Seriously, the emotional relationship I have with food right now is shocking - and now I regret ever saying that women were just making it up!! I'm achy all the time, have daily Braxton Hicks...the list goes on and on!
I am still so, so, so happy to be pregnant again and know that, ultimately, this pregnancy has been fairly textbook/easy thus far (compared to what some women go through). It's just crazy how different this one is from the last!! Everyone says that means boy...I guess we'll find out in Aug/Sept!
My boobs have most definitely continued growing as time has gone on. And they were already significantly larger just after first tri - now it's just getting crazy! I will admit, though, that I kind of love them. I tell DH regularly that I wish I could keep my pregnancy boobs. I admire them in the mirror way more than I probably should, lol. Hopefully they stay nice and full after baby is born and while I'm still breastfeeding so I can milk them (pun not originally intended but it works) as long as possible!
@UnwritteN12 this pregnancy has been so much harder on me. I think part of it is having a toddler, part being a little older, part carrying twins. Everything is magnified.
@JennM205- If I could keep these knockers just as they are for the rest of my life.. oh my goodness. I also admire mine.. hey, why not? I know they won't stick around forever!
@AnnaS930@Sbrown721 I hadn't even thought about how much worse a doorbell ring will be when there is two! And I'm fairly certain the hysterical dog didn't help with the woken child. I'm going to be looking those signs up on Pinterest. Even though friends and family know to knock instead of use the bell, it will definitely be left out round the clock at the beginning.
@JennM205 I love my pregnancy/breastfeeding boobs, too. I know they won't last, so I admire the hell out of them. I wish they were less sensitive, but hey, I'll take it if it means they will look as perky and full as they do.
I've been loving my pregnancy boobs too...except I keep putting off buying a new bra, like since before I was pregnant, and my boobs have probably grown 2 cup sizes at least. Ugh. I just hate bra shopping.
@camichael84 -- I have a note that I hastily wrote in sharpie on an envelope that is taped over my doorbell. I leave it there all the time. I hear people knock.
@unwritten12-- I feel like this pregnancy has been pretty similar to my first, but I have the opposite change from you. Last time, discharge like crazy! This time, mostly okay except for every now and again. I keep thinking something is wrong, but then I go back to enjoying not having all of that to deal with...
@PoodleDoodleOooUgh. Mine were just so sad. I know it shouldn't matter, and it really doesn't ... but I don't feel nearly as sexy when they pancake out on me. Although - husband doesn't seem to mind, so that's a plus
Didn't get the condo I'm not really surprised, we knew there were at least two other bids and someone came in above list. I really liked it but was not like omg this is my forever place.
Re boobs: I think my only started growing after the 1st tri. I started larger (36DD) and now they are just really full and still slowly but steadily growing and beginning to "quad boob".
@jhems776 Bummer about the condo. The same thing happened to us (someone offered over asking). Hope the right one crops up for you soon!
Re boobs: Bra extenders are my best friend right now, until I give up on underwires-- which happened around 34 weeks last time but I don't think I'll make it that far this pregnancy!
Off topic but DD has been vomiting since 8am. She's ok, no fever and hoping it will be over soon, but fingers crossed no one else catches it! She keeps telling me that she needs to wash her hands so that I don't get sick because baby brother is in my tummy. I melt.
Just ordered 3 pairs of shorts from Old Navy for the summer. I usually wear a 4 for pants and maybe a 6 for shorts (I have muscular thighs and don't like the legs too tight). I ordered the 6 and am hoping they fit.. the athletic shorts I ordered from them stay up because of the panel but the waist is inches bigger than mine. I'd be ok with these being a bit big but I really don't want them to be too tight. Ahhhh.
ETA: Sorry, forgot there's a maternity clothes thread. I never go in there. Leaving this here anyway, oh well!
@abberson - I agree on the bra extenders! They helped me a lot last time around. I grew more in the band than I did in the boobs. I don't get awesome pregnancy boobs.
Just a heads up, all plain Target t-shirts and tanks are on sale for $5 right now. I picked up 2 tanks and a v-neck for $15 on my break! Plus, I caved and bought 2 maternity shirts and a nursing bra (not on sale)!
@PSUBecky23 My bravados are lying in wait at the bottom of a bin, I need to dig them out. Are you using ones from a previous baby? I lived in them pp, and have no idea how big my boobs ended up (but from a few BF photos, they're twice as big as baby's head, so pretty big I think...) So I'm a little curious whether they'll still have elasticity. Definitely getting time to try!
@AnnaS930 - I have 2 pairs of old navy maternity shorts. pre-pregnancy I wore a 4 with them and I got a 6, I find them to be pretty roomy and comfy. I will say that the legs slide around a bit which I caused some chaffing on days when I walk around.
Me: 32 DH: 31
TTC #2 since January 2018
Baby #1 DD Born 8/25/2016 BFP: 8/11/18 Due: 4/26/18
Thank you for all your support, ladies!! My doggy is still not out of the woods but I think we are on the mend. Fingers crossed. I really appreciate everyone Yay internet friends!
@abberson I BF'd my daughter for 14 months so I wore two bras and a tank during that time, mostly the bras. They had been lying in the bottom of a tote for about two years but they held up well.
@JennM205 I didn't finish the Bachelorette but we started it! I think JoJo is okay...maybe I'll warm up to her. I think she's totally into Aaron Rodgers' little brother. It bothered me that she kept calling the guys "hot" and complimenting on their looks. DH noticed it too and said it was strange for a girl to lead with remarks like that. But hey.
I don't watch The Bachelorette.. but I really enjoyed having some check-ins with a few on here about Idol. If a good number of you are watching then I will jump in too! Probably won't get my husband on board but I can DVR it and watch when he's working LET ME KNOW!
@AnnaS930 There's only been one episode (aired yesterday) for this season! I vote you watch it and chime in because I don't watch Idol. I tried but never got into it.

Anyone else? Just me?
@UnwritteN12 I don't feel my pregnancy is that much different. It is different, but in very subtle ways.
