@mom2adoodle oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your dog I hope everything is ok!
@kimmyschmidt I've been this close to doing the same, but I'm trying to hold off and go to the local baby wearing group to try different ones on. The one you got looks adorable!
@fireflygirl12 I love all the names honestly, and Penny is adorable as a nickname for Penelope
And I'm super content with my Ergo, which I got handed down to me from my sister.. but I believe that it's quite a lower price. So don't go spending huge money on a carrier if you're trying to do a baby on a budget! You'll find lots of carriers through babywearing groups and local baby consignments in great shape!
I am back to work after a week off of a stay-cation. I am not thrilled to be back at all! I am starting to really look forward to my year off for mat leave. Anyone else reading work related emails and such and thinking internally "I just don't care..."?
How did everything turn out, @AlwaysAuntNeverMom ? Thinking of you and hoping you are feeling better!
Haven't heard back yet! They ordered the labs stat so they wouldn't have to wait until today but it looks like the lab didn't do them on time. My headache is still there and I'm stressing myself out since I've been waiting for the results; so that's making my bp, which has been low up until now (and was low when they took yesterday), get higher, which stresses me out more. I'm just hoping everything turns out well and this is just a weird headache.
@mom2adoodle when I was pregnant with my daughter, my dog ate a rope toy requiring surgery and a several day hospital stay. I was a mess. He pulled through though! Hope your dog gets better soon!
Thanks for the well wishes. On the plus side, I'm not crazy. The U/S tech looked at me and was like, "You're feeling that, right?" Me - "My heart about to pound out of my chest? Yep, can't miss it." Which means she was able to see all the extra beats that were happening. And it lasted the entire half hour minus maybe 5 minutes. So uncomfortable.
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom - Hoping you hear back from the doctor soon as well as get rid of that headache! Thinking of you.
@mom2adoodle - Thinking of you and your pup! Hoping the specialist is able to help you guys!
@mamadomino - I'm impressed! Not everyone can accomplish such a feat!!
I run an outdoor bootcamp, and this morning started off with a total downpour. I was afraid people would be scared off by the rain and not show up, but all of my strong and awesome ladies pulled themselves out of bed on this rainy day!! It's days like this that I love the most-- makes my no sleep last night worth it to lead that group!
Did anyone catch The Bachelorette premiere last night!? Thoughts? I love JoJo (she was hands down my favorite from Ben's season) so I'm pretty pumped! And I was thinking last night that by the time this season ends (finale on Aug 1), we'll all be nearly ready to pop - what a crazy realization!!
Had a good appointment this morning. Weight gain is still OK, BP was good and heard a strong HB that's staying in the 140s (so boy? ). There was some bacteria in my urine so got sent to the lab for a urinalysis due to concerns of UTI despite not having any other symptoms. Apparently extra bacteria can be caused by recent sex. So keep that in mind if this ever happens to any of you. I'm really not concerned.
Had my level 2 ultrasound today and everything looked great. The cyst is gone and the doctor is not concerned at all. What a relief! I was so nervous that my BP when I got there was 150/87
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom -- I'm sorry they are taking a long time to get back to you! I hope you hear something soon. It's so hard to relax in these situations, but I hope you can get some relief as you wait...
If it's a girl, we are going to go with the name Callahan (her nickname will be Callie).
If it's a boy, we are stuck between quite a few and seem to be adding to the list each week: Aiden, Henry, Jack, Rylan, Connor, Emmett, Harvey, William, Keegan, Everett
Boobs are supposed to be done growing by the end of the 2nd trimester, yeah? Mine seem manageable in the morning, but by the end of the day I have quadra-boob because they're spilling up and out of my bra. Luckily my tank top somewhat contains them under my shirt, but it still looks terrible unless I reach down in and shove the girls apart every now and then. I bought nursing bras earlier on that I thought would last the whole time but the girls are obviously quite a bit bigger (and feel like solid rocks sometimes) than last time! Ugh.
@AnnaS930 - I wasn't aware of that tidbit. Interesting! And boo to unaboobs (what I end up with due the fact that I have refused to wear underwires since about 10 weeks) and quadra-boobs!
I am trying to plan a trip to Vegas for my mom's birthday and it is a bit stressful. Trying to shop around for a good rate on flights and hotels is a headache. The rates change constantly - I hate buying plane tickets because of it! And trying to figure out who actually is going to go is also a nightmare. Everyone thinks it sounds fun and is a good idea, but then back away when you start trying to get them to commit to anything specific. Ugh!

I think they are all nice names. My personal favorites are jack, rylan and Emmett.
@Sbrown721- I'm really partial to Emmett hahaha. But really - those are some great names. My top 2 for my first were Emmett and Everett (I slightly preferred Everett but husband loved Emmett and I have zero regrets). For me, Aiden is a bit too popular. I've never heard of Rylan, but picture it being confused for Ryan a lot. One of my Emmett's best friends is a Harvey and he's the cutest little thing, so I like that name more than I would if I didn't know anyone by it.
In short: Of the list I lean towards Henry, Jack, Emmett or Everett... but also think Harvey can be super cute
@mom2adoodle - Oh no! So sorry your pup is sick! I hope the specialist is able to find out what is wrong and hopefully it's an easy fix!
@Sbrown721 - I like all the names! I'm not a huge fan of Rylan and Keegan, though. I think with Rylan a lot of people will assume it's the more popular/common Ryan and he'll be making that correction a lot, which I know bothers some folks, but not everyone! And I hate to say it, but Keegan kind of reminds me of the word kegels...
@UnwritteN12- I seem to remember an update way early on saying that they'd be ready to go/full sized by the end of the 2nd trimester... but could be wrong! My left one (last time's much higher producer) is quite the roadmap of big ol' veins already, while the other hardly has any. Guessing the supply is going to be quite similar this time around but only time will tell!
I bought about four new bras when I outgrew my regular ones and I've already outgrown two of them! I bought a bra extender for the other two and that has thankfully taken off pressure from the girls but the spillage is still very real.
I think I'm going to head to Target on my break and try to find a maternity bra in the $20 range. I think Medela makes one. That way it won't be the end of the world if I grow out of it!
@Sbrown721- the 2 I got were around $20-25 apiece, nothing terrible and I have LOVED them every day. I'm just realizing that the medium isn't going to carry me through, I really need to go invest in a couple larges.. and maybe once my supply evens out I'll be able to wear them all.. ya never know
@Thscary HAHAHA! I made fiance take my Red Card away from me and hide it 6 months ago. Well, I found it last night!! Which means I deserve a maternity shopping spree!

@PSUBecky23 - A clean catch of urine for a female is nearly impossible. Hoping it's nothing, or clears easily!
