@sbrown721 I drink two 1 liter bottles of water a day, plus two just-barely-over 8 ounce cups when I take my fiber (yay for pregnancy-related digestive issues).
So about 83 1/2 ounces per day? Plus a bit here and there when I take my morning and evening medicine or if I'm thirsty.
Pre-pregnancy I barely drank anything and was chronically dehydrated. Now I still don't get the dry mouth/throat feeling (except when I wake up, either in the middle of the night or in the morning), but I realize I'm thirsty because I start chugging water when I go to drink it. There's a weird disconnect somewhere.
I'm thinking about trying to add in another liter or half liter of water a day because I still feel like I'm not getting enough (my lips are starting to look chronically chapped again and my stomach tightens up if I'm not hydrated enough), but it's hard because (even though I know I need it and my body apparently wants it), (1) I don't like drinking water (or much of anything else) and (2) I constantly have to pee because of all the liquid I'm taking in, which is inconvenient and annoying.
@Sbrown721 I've been a big water drinker due to medical necessity. I'm drinking 120-130oz a day, so about a gallon. Because of necessity, I even have to drink at night. I wake up about 3 or 4 times and have to drink 4-6oz every time. Since I absolutely have had to drink a gallon a day for almost 2 years, I'm used to it, but I found that having a big bottle with me at all times was extremely critical. I bought this huge, 60oz wattle bottle and had it with me at work all day, with the goal of finishing it before I left for the day and filled it up again when I got home. It helped me track how much I was drinking but, more importantly, helped stay on top of it. You obviously don't need such a huge bottle but you can find some other way of tracking, maybe set a goal to drink the full bottle three times in a day.
JennM205 I do have the same thing. If I hold my urine and my bladder gets full, I'll get BH. I try not to let it get so full but I can't always get to a restroom. I'll get BH before and for a few minutes after I pee. I was getting BH a lot before but now it's mostly when the pee thing happens. Like now, lemme get to the bathroom real quick lol.
Unrelated, shout out to the bump gods for me not having the "you need to sign in before you can do this" when I've tried to reply since the app was updated.
Huge water drinker here... like at a restaurant the waiter should just hover behind me because I need at least 8 refills, probably more. I keep big water bottles with me at work and home and drink ice water which is always better. Breastfeeding made me consider wearing my camelbak around the house, especially for motn feeds
Not a huge water drinker and never have been. I got a 48 oz water bottle and try to force myself to drink two a day. I found that if the water is really cold I tend to drink it faster.
I haven't been bad about drinking water by any means (I mean pee coloring is fine), but I definitely need to step up my game after reading your responses!
Got Reese's most recent progress report from school. I can barely read it because it's a copy of a handwritten report but the unmistakable part is the recommendation for early intervention. Because she doesn't share. And won't sit still at circle time. And doesn't express her emotions. What am I missing? All sounds like typical three year old behavior to me. I'm so annoyed.
We got expensive pizza for dinner! And I didn't throw up afterwards!!!!! I've had Pizza Hut 3 times this pregnancy and have not kept it down once. Fancy New York style pizza FTW
@Sbrown721 I feel like a camel today. Just chugging away but usually just drink 2 liters a day.
@PSUBecky23 that is annoying. Three year olds are all over the place with their emotions..well at least mine is. Also, if I had a dollar every time the girl didn't share I'd already have her college fund set up. Lastly, deklyns school has a camera and when I watch circle time, there's always more then a handful of children not sitting still.
You guys, I just saw my first visible movement about 10 minutes ago!
I think the babies have kicked hard enough before that I'd have seen it if I was looking (they've been getting increasingly strong in the last week or so, just thumping and rolling around like crazy), but I never was.
This time I was on my phone (holding it in my left hand with my forearm braced against my upper abdomen/ribs) and Baby A kicked hard enough that my arm lifted up, so I lifted the bottom of my shirt and waited and what I'm guessing was an elbow, based on positioning, jabbed out of my stomach right next to my belly button!
I haven't caught Baby B in the act yet (he's not as much of a mover and I think my placenta is against the side of my abdomen where most of the kicking and punching goes on), but I'm so excited to have seen my first outside sign from either of them!
@Ah825 I think that sounds normal since it's averaging just over 2 lbs/week. My weight gain fluctuates, but I know there have been weeks were I have gained 2-3 lbs.
I just got back from my next door neighbors house and I'm pretty sure they are swingers. I could go into details but I won't
ps does anyone else think it's weird that they both take pictures of me when I am NOT looking? I caught them taking pictures of me with their phones that they ultimately sent out to our other neighbors. Maybe because I finally came over? I'm so confused but so weirded out.
Also, woman neighbor told me that her husband saw me in my bikini today while swimming with the girls and thought it was nice that I still wear a two piece while pregnant. Umm okay? Cool? Why is he looking over the fence?
ya'll I'm just so uncomfortable now being around them. ::shivers::
@Ah825 I've been averaging about 1lb per week wright gain since 16ish weeks. Though I will say, around 20 weeks baby went through a growth spurt (it seems) and I gained much faster for a few consecutive weeks. It's since evened back out. I wouldn't worry, especially if your eating habits haven't suddenly changed!
@seitzy3 Ummm...your neighbors sound super creepy, I don't blame you for being skeeved! :
@seitzy3 that's very disturbing and I don't think I'd go over there again if I were you. Definitely not normal behavior. I can't help but also wonder what details you decided not to share as you stated you weren't going to go into details since those you mentioned are already pretty creepy.
Does anyone know if the glucose test is at the 24 week or 28 week appointment?
The secretary at our office when I scheduled my 24 week appointment was like "just so you know, plan to sit here for an hour for your glucose test. Or is that the 28 week?" super helpful. Thank you for that.
@seitzy3 that is super creepy and weird. The picture thing is really strange, especially if they were both doing it. Also, the pool comment could be harmless but paired with the other stuff? Creep-tastic. I'd be out there putting up a double high fence today, lol. Eek!
@kimmyschmidt -- I'm guessing it is the 28 week, because my OB sends the glucola home with me so I can drink it just an hour before I come in for my blood draw and she didn't give it to me prior to my 24 week, which is tomorrow. If I'm wrong, I'll find out in the morning and will update!
@kimmyschmidt I think the 28 week appointment is standard for glucose testing. With DD, I had mine at 27.5 weeks and, with this baby, they didn't even bring it up until my 24 week appointment (to have me schedule the lab visit adjacent to my next appointment). My OB did say I should schedule within 3-4 weeks (instead of my set 4 week rotation) so I'm wondering if it's something that's supposed to take place around week 28 but not after...? Currently, mine is scheduled for 27w6d.
@KimmySchmidt It's generally done at the 28 week appointment. I just got my requisition to book mine in a couple weeks from my OB when I saw her the other days for my 24 (ok 23 week) appointment.
Edited to add: Ok, actually checked the form I got, it states the glucose test is supposed to be done between 26-28 weeks.
Agreed with the others that my office does glucose tolerance at the 28 week appointment.
Hoping the rain holds off, about a dozen local mamas are heading to a park to celebrate 5 may babies turning 1! It would be a blast to get out of the house after nap. Also, e seems healthy still this morning, just a bit restless over night.
Ugh, I have a stye on my eye and my bad ankle hurts, feeling pregnant and busted. While looking up stye treatments I saw an old wives tale that if you deprive a pregnant women what she craves you will get a stye. Last week I tried to be good, so I should have desserts every day to avoid this.
Thanks guys. I'm paying for a sitter so I don't have to bring baby to the OB office to sit with me, it would be nice to know which appointment to expect that at!
I mean it's not the first time they've made me or DH feel uncomfortable!
edit bc I just saw all of your comments. I can't really avoid them too much because they are literally right next door. But trust me I do as much as possible. Also, more things that happened last night besides pictures...offering me drinks and to stay in the hot tub with 5 other married couples that were there. Then man neighbor texted my husband a picture of me saying "you're wife is getting naughty over here". I was holding woman neighbors drink while she got food ready for her guests. One of them tried to turn off my baby monitor and said "you shouldn't worry too much about them you're right next door"
I peaced out so fast!
On total change of subject. I dreamt about the man who DH donated his bone marrow to and just now realized baby Seitzys due date will be four years to the day DH went into the hospital for his procedure. I was pregnant with Deklyn when he donated and now I'm just emotional about how far we have come as a family and more importantly how his recipient is alive and thriving. Reminds me that I need to give him a call
@KimmySchmidt seconding what others said, it depends on the practice. Mine will be @ 28 weeks and I'm dreading it because I failed the first round last time and had to do the 3-hour test. Ugh...

not crunchy enough to do mama cloth or cup, but I wish I was. Maybe I'll get brave enough to try someday.
