  • @AliKay20 Happy one year anniversary! Also I am super jealous you are laying in bed at 8 pm. DD goes hard until 9 or 9:30, some nights 10.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure I won't get to do this for long. Lately I've been so sleepy yet unable to sleep so I'm lethargic all day. I don't know what it is! Maybe belly getting bigger but I think I'm just in this big anticipation mode.

I'm obsessed with looking up stuff online all baby related...I get so distracted on Etsy, wondering what prints I should get for LO's nursery. Then I go into babyGap to see if there are good deals going on. I'm also cleaning up my registry and stalking it at the same time. And of course, browsing for baby shower dress. I worked from home today but with me being out on mat leave in just two months, I CANNOT focus. And I can't even peacefully nap on a weekday teleworking because I fear I'll wake up to 100 urgent emails or calls.
  • @kristynmac  I love that shirt! What shop is it from? I think I'm an etsy addict.
I first saw this shirt on an Instagram post, but could not find the place that made it, so I sent the picture to an Etsy company called tikitee. I got an instant reply and they recreated the graphic on a black t-shirt for me--I am guessing if you msg them they may still have the graphic saved and can print more without charging you the image fee? I had it printed on a women's large (basic fruit of loom brand) and I got an xl as well. I wore it today and people loved it.
  • @Lynnlove28 I don't know how you make it until that late with DD! You must have the patience of a saint. When 7:00 rolls around I am so happy it's bedtime because I am completely tapped out. I hope you get some extra rest in the morning (DS is usually up by 6:15 :( ).

@AliKay20 Happy Anniversary!! DS1 was a honeymoon baby, so he was a few months old by the time our anniversary came around and it felt like we had been married for 10 years at that point. So many changes in one year!

  • @Bookhousegirl She sleeps in anywhere from 7-9 in the morning. It's just the schedule she put herself on and no matter what I try I can't get it to where she goes to bed earlier. I'm hoping once LO arrives I can get her on a bit of an earlier schedule around 8 or 8:30. It is very exhausting!
  • @lynnlove28 we have the exact same schedule except wake up is 7 to 8. We just can't get her down before 9... So much energy!

  • @LWC1112 yes! And if we try to put her down earlier she will fight it and end up going to bed even later. She was steadily getting up around 8 but this past week she's been sleeping till 9 and I've been enjoying every minute!
  • @Bookhousegirl Thanks! Seriously, our lives are about to change forever.
  • @Lynnlove28 oh well you definitely get better morning sleep then! Sleeping until 8 or 9 sounds amazing, I can't remember the last time DS let us sleep past 7:15...

  • I usually love ice cream and I was so looking forward to having DQ blizzards all summer, but I have become lactose intolerant and it is miserable.
  • Unbeknownst to us at the time, we find this white blob on the floor and DH asks me what this could be. Well, I've been so paranoid lately because third trimester came with slight cramps here and there.

I literally pulled down my pants right then and there to check if I was going into labor. Mind you, I don't even know what it looks like when water breaks. I figured it wouldn't be milky white but paranoia tells me otherwise.

Later we find out it was our dog who climbed up on our coffee table and finished my glass of milk. He never drinks milk but lately he's been trying to eat/drink anything he can get his paws on because he's now on a strict hypoallergenic diet.

There was a huge neighborhood garage sale today in a pretty affluent and family-oriented neighborhood near where I live. We got up early and found a white dresser that will be great as a changing table ($35), and a TON of cute baby clothes ($1-2 apiece)! I am so happy. I had mapped out like 50 houses listed in the sale that had advertised baby stuff -- we were done after 3 houses because the car was full and I had more clothes than I think I'll even need!

BTW, if anyone lives in Denver and is looking for deals, this was the Stapleton garage sale, and it goes through the weekend. It might be too late to score the big items, but we saw a ton of baby clothes.
    Thanks for the heads-up!!
  • @AliKay20 that made me laugh! Better safe than sorry!!!

@Katienu did you go early late or on time with your first I'm measuring small with this baby and worried I'm going to go super late!
I went 2.5 weeks early. My DD was fine and it was actually nice bc I didn't have those last uncomfortable wks of pregnancy!

There are several companies such as SO Delicious and Rice Dream that make a pretty good dairy free ice cream. I have a milk protein allergy,  so this is all I have been able to have for years.  They have progressively gotten better (or maybe I've forgotten what real ice cream tastes like).  I prefer the ones that are almond based (over rice or coconut) but am also expecting the new cashew one I just bought to also be very good.

I also think Breyers has a "lactose free" line made with real dairy that you might be able to tolerate. You could try a DIY blizzard at home or there are also several recipes for homemade dairy free ice cream.
