@NurseTMD85 - I think I may be the same as you and need the preparation beforehand. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me, it was really helpful. I think I may do serial testing beforehand and that way I don't get hit particularly hard when the beta test comes. Thanks again!

@paigeed sorry to hear about the waiting game but it sounds like you have a pretty good plan for the next few months. Since you have an idea of the various possibilities of how things could go, I hope it makes the journey and the branch points easier to negotiate.
Sorry to hear about the BFN's so far @Hoping4Success and @Monica54321. Hold on to a bit of hope and keep on trudging along!!! You got this. @wifeinraleigh28 I'm a huge fan of cheese and think it could end wars! Whenever I'm in my TWW I want all the salty, fatty, sweet things I can get my hands on. What's your favorite cheese?
As for me, I finished my CD4-8 clomid and am waiting for my monitoring US and blood work on Weds, then maybe IUI on Friday. I also had the colonoscopy on Friday (normal, thank goodness) and my mother in law came to town - and I've survived!! I just made a batch of choco-chip cookies so YAY.
I hear you, @Hoping4Success , this whole infertility thing is the WORST. Try to just keep swimming along even though it hurts and its hard. You're not alone! HUGS!
@Hoping4Success Being here has helped me a lot, hopefully we can help u thru this rough patch. It's terribly hard. Month by month....don't give up sweety
@lady_grey Oh wow choosing a favorite might be tough... I'm a huge fan of goat cheese, feta, brie, jarlsberg, camembert, raclette.... It's all so yummy!!! What are some of your favorites?

I went for my CD3 US and BW, but had to go to a different office because it was the weekend and I didn't see my regular doctor or nurse. I got the call in the afternoon with my results and the message said to start my clomid on CD3 which was yesterday evening - I didn't even have it yet because I was never told my protocol was changing (I usually take it days 5-9). This office has given me incorrect information before so I questioned them and they said they don't see any note to change my protocol so I should start on CD 5 like I have on previous rounds. My regular nurse responded to my email this morning stating that I was supposed to start yesterday!!!!!! She said that because I didn't that I should do days 5-9 again. Apparently my RE wanted to try a hail mary or something on this last IUI round. I inquired about starting CD4 and she said their office doesn't do that. Which doesn't really make much sense to me. I know that taking it earlier produces more follies but taking it later produces better quality follies. I would think that CD4 is a happy medium, especially since I was suspposed to start yesterday. I'm thinking of rebelling and starting tonight anyway.
So my question is: Has anyone done CD 4-8 before? I wouldn't mind another follie or 2 this round!
Thanks in advance ladies! And sorry to the BFNs this weekend. Who is testing this week?!

@Hoping4Success I'm sorry- we all know how this feels- trust me. I wish there were a magic wand that could tell us all when we would finally have our successes, but there doesn't seem to be anything other than waiting it out. And being on these boards has helped me a lot- the ladies are so encouraging and its a group of people who know what you are talking about.

New plan! DH and I had decided we'd do as many IUIs as we can between now and when we go on vacation in August. However, we're getting impatient. So IUI #3 is going to be our last one, and then if needed we'll move on to IVF. I'm still really nervous about it, but if that's what it takes, then so be it. I started the "What's IVF like" thread on here, and many women have replied that it's not as scary as it seems. If anyone else is considering IVF, take a look at that thread to calm your nerves a bit.

Hoping4Success- Sorry you are feeling so down. I know how you feel and its so hard. No matter what anyone says to try to cheer you up, its hard to feel better. I wish I had found a way to make myself feel better on the down days, but still trying to figure it out. I have just learned that I need 3-4 days after each disappointment to feel sad, and that nothing but time/starting a new month will cheer me up. Hang in there. I truly believe that all this struggle will make it so much sweeter when it does happen. Obviously all mothers love and appreciate their kids, but I feel like I will have a whole new attitude towards motherhood after this struggle to get there.
LeFemmeViolette - Good topic, I am going to check out that thread as we are likely moving to IVF in June/July if this month doesn't work. I am not scared about the physical part of IVF... more just what if it doesn't work after all that money you spend? How many times does someone try given the cost, but its also usually the last option. That thought definitely freaks me out.
I love all this cheese talk! I live in WI and cheese is just such a part of life here. you are all making me hungry! my fav is port wine cheese spread with crackers.. its seriously addicting!

@LeFemmeViolette - I've been following your "What's IVF like" thread At my last appointment, when we decided to go ahead and schedule the IVF consultation, my RE said that in his experience IVF seems to actually be less stressful that IUIs for a lot of women for the following reasons....
Easier to hold onto hope during the process because the odds are actually in your favor of success
Greater sense of 'control' because you are more actively involved (ex: giving yourself shots)
Shorter waiting durations between the next 'thing' due to increased frequency of ultrasounds, blood draws, ER, transfer, etc
Obviously there are other stressors that kick in with IVF (increased cost, more appointments, etc) - it really just depends on the person. While more appointments may be more stressful for someone, they can actually be less stressful for someone else! I feel a lot more calm & at peace now that I have our consult scheduled for July (wish it was June... maybe they're will be a cancellation).

Ladies- just wondered your thoughts on working out during TWW? I know light-moderate activity is ok... but I just get so worried I will mess something up, or maybe I am just looking for a reason to not work out haha. My RE hasn't really said anything about it.. but I feel like it would be healthy because these dang horomones have definitely made me gain a couple of pounds. I know they reco taking it easy after IVF for TWW, so not sure if that advice is true for IUI?

Went in to the fertility clinic in July to talk about a FET of one of those three frozen embryos, but a new fibroid was discovered, and I was not cleared to do the transfer until I had fibroid removal surgery. 08/11/17 had a mini-laparotomy / myomectomy to remove 6 fibroids, largest sized were the size of golf-balls! Once we were cleared to go about our normal lives (sex!) I got pregnant NATURALLY but it was a chemical pregnancy. The very next month we had another BFP and here we are now with a baby on the way! A TOTAL AND COMPLETE MIRACLE! Watch our YouTube Channel Vlog Here!

A hopeful story, thank you @LeFemmeViolette.
Being here has helped me a lot, hopefully we can help u thru this rough patch. It's terribly hard. Month by month....don't give up sweety

@LeFemmeViolette - I've been following your "What's IVF like" thread
At my last appointment, when we decided to go ahead and schedule the IVF consultation, my RE said that in his experience IVF seems to actually be less stressful that IUIs for a lot of women for the following reasons....

Onto IVF! Started Lupron on 09/24. Added Gonal F and hcg injections 09/26...... Trigger 10/07. EggRetrieval 10/09. Starting PIO, Estrace, and Medrol 10/10/16. Transferred 2 "strong/beautiful" embryos 10/14/16. Beta 10/28/16 = 998 mIU/mL = BFP with one baby, but miscarried at 9w5d.
D&C on 12/06/17 and started taking BCPs 01/10/17 for the next IVF Cycle, which officially began stims on 02/18/17.
Fast Forward: we got 4 fertilized embryos from that cycle. Transferred one fresh, but it did not stick, so we have 3 frozen embryos currently.
