@WishingforLuck The needle hurts a little going in, and then my bum is sore basically all day. Sitting on a heating pad afterward definitely helps.
@2legbaby It's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's definitely thick, so DH holds the bottle tight in his hand to warm it up a little before the injection. It's worth it!
I had leg day today and then went to yoga. Definitely feeling the burn....

@kjplaza -I was told to eat foods that are anti-inflammatory. Honestly, I'm not sure what that means. I was told to eat a balaanced, healthy, low sugar diet (not sugar free). I was told to eat lots of vegetables, make sure I got enough protein, and eat whole grain foods. (Also walnuts and pistachios) Things that are not good for you: fried foods, soda, artificial sweetners, thick creamy sauces or dressings, caffeine. Although I was told a little caffeine is okay for pregnant women, try to avoid it now. If I have milk or yogurt, regular is better, not the fat free. I'm not a nutritionist, but I met with one a few weeks ago. I'm not completely avoiding the bad stuff, but it has steered me away from some of the unhealthy choices. I ended up losing 3-5 lb in the last few weeks.
My transfer is on Thursday. We went out for Chinese with my in laws, and I got something from the healthy part of the menu and just took tiny samples of the other stuff we had. Not sure if I would have been so motivated if it hasn't been for the transfer.
@kjplaza I'm focusing on eating balanced and nutritious meals. I read that it's best to eat lots of veggies, proteins, avocados, pineapple + core, walnuts, whole grains, eggs and nothing fat free. For the pineapple, it's recommended to divide a pineapple into 5 pieces, including the core, and eat 1 piece each day starting with the day of the transfer. I'm also excluding caffeine, even though my doctor said a small cup once a day is ok to have.

I think the biggest thing to avoid food wise is processed sugar. It causes inflammation in the body and you want to avoid that.
@2legbaby looking forward to hearing about your ultrasound for the fluid. Good luck!
AFM - Well, I got the official word that my transfer will be tomorrow!! There's always a little lost in translation when talking to the lab but we know for sure that today when they checked them, one was at an early blastocyst stage so that is the one we'll transfer and most likely the PGS tested one. Although she did mention that if there was another good looking fresh one that maybe we should consider transferring those two. What do y'all think? I guess I just feel reassured transferring the PGS tested one. I know it's weird to possibly end up with twins from different genetic mothers but I'm not that weirded out by it. Thoughts?

@2legbaby Thank you for posting that poem, it was beautiful. @kjplaza I'm not doing really anything special at this point. My RE didn't want me to try to lose any weight, so while I'm continuing to eat healthily (whole grains, trying to get more veggies, rice, protein, etc.) I didn't change anything else. I started taking my DHA at night instead of in the AM and it's helping me sleep better, plus I don't feel so out of it during the day. Not sure if it's just me getting used to the estrogen or if it really was the DHA making me tired, but either way, I'm happy. I'll be picking up some pineapple core for Wednesday though! @susykat77 So happy you are getting your transfer! I have never really wanted to think about transferring 2 because we don't want to increase our odds of twins even more. But I think if you want to transfer two, that it is totally cool to have two different DEs in there. Best of luck!
My MIL is unfortunately still causing drama, and yesterday was a bit tough for DH and I. But we had a good lunch with my side of the family. I got a bad (read: sugary) coffee because I was so stressed and annoyed, but today I start uber-hydrating. So no tea, coffee, keeping low-sugar, and going to try to add veggies more. I'm feeling very nervous, and I was talking to DH last night that I was mad at myself for not trying harder to lose the 5-10 pounds I wanted to before the transfer. I know that I'm not overweight, but I'm started to second guess myself and every choice I've made for the last two months. Time to break out the affirmations and positive verses to focus on!

@dragonfaerie I'm sorry your MIL is not giving you peace. Sometimes we all need a break (with sugary coffee, ice cream, etc) to relieve the stress. Just think positive and don't let her get to you. You don't need the extra stress in your life right now!

@dragonfaerie sorry about the MIL drama, but don't stress second guessing stuff ....you got this!
@Susykat77 what is the age of your fresh donor? If she is <35 I would be more inclined to stick with your plan of the one PGS tested and the one fresh untested, triplets would be scary for me and I would be worried about the risks to the babies too! I used to think that donor egg was a crazy/weird concept...having twins with different donors doesn't sound as weird to me as it would had you mentioned it to me 2 years ago lol ! Wishing you an amazing transfer day tomorrow!!!!
No fluid in uterus on ultrasound today- FET on for May 16th woohoo!
@kjplaza there was a great post within the last few weeks about the question of what to avoid, having PCOS I am going to try and avoid any grains right around transfer as the can also be pro-inflammatory. When I first was diagnosed I tried to go gluten free and that is just not realistic for me, but I cut back on my grains and lately I have gotten into them again...so DH and I went out for dinner Friday, Saturday and lunch Sunday trying to get all our cravings out of the way:) I am following the girls with the pineapple core idea- anything that helps implantation I'm on board:)

@susykat77 I said this on the other thread, but congrats and yay for being pupo!! The days are not crawling actually, and I am really not tempted to test at all. But ever since yesterday, I can't stop thinking that I don't have any symptoms at all and it's starting to worry me. There are no twinges, no cramping, nothing! I've been super busy with work and have been gone a few days and oh my look at all you ladies that are PUPO!! Congrats! I'm so happy and excited for you all!
***Child mentioned/Previous pregnancy mentioned*** AFM, my transfer date is set for 5/26 so exactly 2 weeks from today! Until then, my regiment is Estrodial with a small increase until I reach 0.5ml every 3 days then the Sunday before the transfer date I have my pre transfer exam and if everything is normal I start on PIO, Medrol, and Levaquin and continue with my Estrodial as well. Then 2 days before transfer I will continue all those meds, but add an additional PIO per day. On the day of transfer I will also add in baby aspirin and valium. I continue all the meds until my beta test on 6/6 which is a day before my birthday! So depending on the results it'll either be a super exciting birthday or.... The only thing is my RE is having me continue with all the medications except Levaquin and Valium through the whole first trimester if the transfer is successful. Anyone else have to be on all those meds? Also, when I went in for my initial transfer protocol appointment on Monday, I spoke with my RE about which embryo I would like to transfer and he sounded surprised that I asked to transfer just 1, so I'm kind of confused right now about what I should do. I guess I should have clarified with him at the appointment if he suggests otherwise, but I just don't see why he would. My husband and I are going through this process due to male factor and although we would love to have this work, we don't think we are in the place to take on the challenge of having twins. I didn't have an issue with my pregnancy with my son from my previous marriage and I just don't want to increase the chance of twins so I figured that choosing to go with 1 would be the best choice, but now I'm second guessing myself.
On a lighter note, I'm not sure if any of you are Rolling Stone fans and heard of the 3 day Desert Trip festival coming to So Cal in October featuring The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters, and The Who. Anyway, we managed to get lucky enough to buy some tickets before it sold out within minutes and we are planning to go to that! So excited!
@dragonfaerie Wow your Blastocyst was really hatching.
I'm so excited to read that everyone is trucking along well and FET's are right around the corner for most everyone. It's finally my turn to get the ball rolling. I have been doing estrace 3x a day but today I get to take my HCG shot and tomorrow starts up my PIO shots. I'm getting nervous about those. I'm very tempted to drive 45 min tomorrow to the doc just so she can draw circles on my hips and she can demonstrate it for me. I'm afraid I'm going to hit the wrong spot.

I'll be picking up some pineapple core for Wednesday though!
Best of luck!
@susykat77 So happy you are getting your transfer! I have never really wanted to think about transferring 2 because we don't want to increase our odds of twins even more. But I think if you want to transfer two, that it is totally cool to have two different DEs in there.

No fluid in uterus on ultrasound today- FET on for May 16th
@kjplaza there was a great post within the last few weeks about the question of what to avoid, having PCOS I am going to try and avoid any grains right around transfer as the can also be pro-inflammatory. When I first was diagnosed I tried to go gluten free and that is just not realistic for me, but I cut back on my grains and lately I have gotten into them again...so DH and I went out for dinner Friday, Saturday and lunch Sunday trying to get all our cravings out of the way:) I am following the girls with the pineapple core idea- anything that helps implantation I'm on board:)

AFM, my transfer date is set for 5/26 so exactly 2 weeks from today!
So excited!
