I am officially now a member, also, as my due date was yesterday. Like a PP said, I feel pretty good, fortunately/unfortunately. I'm 40+1 today and have my weekly checkup tomorrow.

  • Officially a member too. Husband this morning "wow, your belly keeps getting bigger!" My response was not so nice.
  • Will be a member in less than 16 hours! I had really hoped that I would be one of the lucky 4% who delivers on EDD, but my FIL had to ruin it by saying he had an odd feeling that I'd deliver today, but couldn't figure out why he had that feeling... Uh, because it's my EDD?

I'd never live it down if he was right.
  • Welcome ladies! Hope everyone is hanging in there today. Tomorrow is my induction date and I am slightly shitting myself.... Went into labor on my on with DS so don't know what to expect and praying it all goes well. Alsoooo just found out the ONE DOCTOR I CANT STAND is of course working tomorrow! Why!?
  • Hello my name is Jessica and I am....Overdue. Yay to Germany and now daily doctors visits. NST everyday and hopefully not so long waiting in the waiting room. Yesterday was almost an hour! Had my first cervical check since week 36 and was very disappointed to here that everything was all closed up. No sign of the MP, nada. Head is still sitting high as well. At least the NST was registering some contractions (nothing I felt) so that gives me some hope. That and knowing this can't possibly last forever!
  • Officially scheduled for induction on Sunday at 7pm if LO doesn't show up on his own before then :)
  • @Klittle779 I'm scheduled to be induced tomorrow too! Check in at 8pm. What the heck am I supposed to do all day....sit and stress I'm sure. Hopefully nap.

  • Only overdue a day, however, was scheduled for an induction tonight and got bumped due to the hospital being full. Now having contractions every 7-8 minutes and I cannot sleep (likely false labor as they are just low upfront and the pain isn't unbearable but definitely isn't just tightening of BH). But I have no idea what to expect so who knows!
  • 40+4 and I'm beginning to think my body is defective. I don't see my OB until tomorrow and last time we talked about inducing Monday the 16th but I may ask if we can consider Friday instead. Emotionally I really don't want to drag through another weekend.

40W2d here...I have my appt. today. I'm hoping that I go into labor naturally. That being said, I don't want to wait too long that he gets too big and becomes risky to deliver vaginally. I have so many questions!! I hope my doc can give me a little extra time today to talk!

Thought I was going into labour yesterday/last night then everything came to a grinding hault at about 2 am. they're going to do a membrane sweep today. Hopefully that will get me going as I'm still trying to avoid being induced next week!
  • Good luck today @vinerie ! The mind games are the worst when you're overdue.  Your mind goes into overdrive.
@Charla1224 haha I said the same thing. My body did not want to do labor on its own with this LO

Im sitting (not so patiently) waiting anxiously to get a call for induction......
  • 12 hours until I go in for my induction. Now I just....wait!? Should I take my 2 year old to school or keep her home? Probably a trip to target is in order. This is the weirdest thing to me. Knowing exactly when I need to go to the hospital. I'm going to be a nervous cranky wreck today.

  • Not overdue yet (not by a long shot) but my OB yesterday chuckled after asking me how Im feeling (awful, thanks).  She said, "yeah we get a lot of tears in this office. Women think they'll go at 40 weeks and we wont induce until 42, hahaha "  I want to cry just thinking about 42 weeks.  My husband was a 10.5 lb baby, born at 37 weeks.  Im afraid if I go to 42, his genes will produce a 14 lb child!
  • Hey fellow soldiers (don't you feel like you've been through war at this point?), I'm officially overdue. Inlaws flew in last night and are currently watching me be pregnant (help me, please! I can't even suggest going to the mall to get out of the house because I am too big and miserable to walk).
DH has military training this weekend from Fri-Sun a whole state away (about 2 1/2 hrs) in the middle of the woods with crappy cell reception, so I'm pretty much guaranteed to go into labor while he is gone. Otherwise I am scheduled for induction on Tuesday. Just having an induction date really helps me mentally!
Hang in there, overly pregnant friends. We will be holding our babies soon! :)

According to MIL, a pediatrician, baby's birth size is most closely correlated to their mother's size. The baby's size will adjust after birth to their actual growth range.

Try not to worry too much about this. If your OB is worried that LO is measuring too large, she'll intervene early.
  • Officially in the overdue club! Next OB appt on Friday. Will be scheduling to be induced early next week if LO hasn't arrived by then.
  • @Klittle779 I hope everything went well for you! My OB gave me the schedule of on-call doctors at the hospital (he shouldn't have done that) and I also get nervous on days when the two doctors who have bad reputations are working. It's a pretty bad mind-warp. Hopefully your delivery is/was straightforward!
  • Good luck to all the mamas getting induced! Can't wait for our squishy babies
  • So my instructions were to call the charge nurse at 9:30 to confirm they had beds available in L&D and then if so, come in at 10. I call, they say to come in, we pack up, get all excited/nervous, check in, then are told to wait in the waiting room for the charge nurse to come get us. 20 minutes later this idiot comes over and says they made a mistake and there are no beds available and our options are to go home or to wait in triage all night and see if a bed does open up but "no guarantees."

back home now and so annoyed!

@babyfmama that would be so frustrating!! I would have gotten my hopes way up about finally getting to meet my LO.  Hopefully you don't have to wait much longer!
  • Thank you @VS2016 ! We go back tomorrow at 6am. I hope that same charge nurse is done with her shift by then!

I got my membrane sweep today. Hoping it works so I can avoid an induction (hoping for no epidural so wanting to avoid using pit) I live in a small town and if my little guy stays in until Friday then my family doctor will be the one to deliver our LO as he is obstetrics on call for the next week. That would be great because so far no other doctors in town have had to see my business (which wouldn't normally be weird but I work at the hospital so they are all co-workers of mine!)
  • Good luck @Klittle779!!

Update on on my induction saga: we called back at 5:30AM to confirm they would have a bed for me at 6, they said definitely, come on in. Get all checked in, hooked up to IV, blood drawn, etc. but keep sitting in triage until my husband finally goes out to find out what's going on. Turns out they had a bunch of women told to come in at 6, several of which had higher priority situations (active labor I'd have to assume) and there are no beds available. The new charge nurse comes in and says maybe we should go home again and they can call us when there's a bed available. Yeah, because I'm sure you'll immediately think of me and not whoever else is waiting it out in triage when something opens up. So now we are on hour 7, hanging out waiting for everyone to give birth with no end in sight. And to add insult to injury, I'm basically being treated like a diva who has requested an elective induction because I'm only 40+4 despite the fact that the induction was recommended by my OB, who unfortunately is not working today. This whole experience is incredibly aggravating and I feel terrible.
  • @hellogoodbye2 thank you! Felt good to vent here.
  • @babyfmama fx something starts happening for you soon. That sounds frustrating as hell going back and forth to the hospital.

  • @Charla1224 thank you! I hope your baby comes soon or you get your induction scheduled ASAP!

@babyfmama I'm pretty sure I would have lost it by now! Pretty ridiculous!!  Still thinking good thoughts that you will get things going soon!!

  • I'll join the club with you all! Baby is 5 days late today. I go in tomorrow morning for my NST and am scheduled to be induced Sunday night (technically Monday morning- 2:45 am) for a 41+2 bday of May 16th. It feels like forever away! Good luck, ladies!!
