I decided nutrition be damned and made shrimp scampi for dinner because it sounded so delicious. Then, I managed to make it to the bathroom to barf up every last bit I'd eaten despite only realizing I was going to throw up with my fork halfway to my mouth with another bite. Not cool, pregnancy, not cool. Shrimp are expensive. Also, I will now be hungry in half an hour and have to try and explain to my husband how I can be totally starving after throwing up my dinner half an hour before. Which, duh, because I didn't get dinner and this baby is hungry. He's just apparently also picky.
Well..... Not going to brag about anything after all. There have been only a few positives during this pregnancy... I feel for my mom now. Though I guess I can point out I've gotten some cloth diapers locally to help save money?
Well even when being sick with my second baby A BOY up untill 6 months I'm 31weeks 3days now and have NEVER NOT ONCE this whole pregnancy been constipated.
@nekedfeet a woman at work just said "last week you were glowing, but now you look really tired"- um...? People! I like your angle- good that a throat punch was avoided.
@june2016baby Wait, my veins might start hurting too? WHY MUST EVERYTHING HURT??? @SMLmom see, that's why we need our pregnancy brags. You deserve credit for every rude thunder cunt who escapes your fists of righteous fury!
I guess my brag can be that I do wash my curtains about once a year. The white ones get really dingy. I was actually just thinking this week that they need to be washed before the baby gets here.
I washed the new curtains we got for the nursery yesterday, and I was thinking of this thread. I wasn't going to wash them, but they had kind of a weird smell when I took them out of the package. Then I even ironed them, so I must really love this baby.
We went to a concert Friday night and went to bed at 12:30am, then my SiL had her "moving away" dinner last night and didn't get to bed until 1:30am. Today one of my best friend's is in town for work so I have plans to see her this afternoon. My "win" is that I haven't dropped yet....yet.
Sidenote: My SiL is notorious for scheduling dinners for 9pm and it drives me crazy, plus she always picks really expensive restaurants. I wasn't the only pregnant one at dinner last night and so she and I had a private pity-party for being kept up so late.
My brag is that a neighbor brought over a plate of homemade whoopie pies yesterday, and I only ate one yesterday and didn't have one for breakfast. (No promises I won't have one latter though).
My brag is that I finished up my online classes ahead of schedule, so between now and when I deliver, I have two days a week while DS is at daycare partially freed for making freezer meals or just relaxing.
I had a lovely baby shower yesterday. My brag is that I didn't let it get to me any of the FOUR times that my MIL loudly stated that "My bump can't get any bigger than it already is!', "I was never as big as you!", and "You are about to pop any minute!" (I'm due in 7.5 weeks and measuring right on track....) I didn't even get upset when she told me that she never had a stretch mark. I have none yet, but am trying hard to prepare myself for them, should they appear.
I know she is trying to be helpful/cute/excited, but I wish she would read my facial expressions (and my husband's blatant requests that she refrain from these comments).
I cooked 30 nights worth of Freezer meals for three families in two days!!!!!!!!! Cilantro lime chicken, sweet potato stir fry, crock pot chicken curry, Moroccan chicken, Italian pasta skillet, butternut squash and Black beab chili, smokey chicken lentil soup, turkey meatloaf, beef meatloaf, meatballs and sauce, mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, stuffed peppers and two types of quiches!!! GO ME!!!
I would love to start working on freezer meals but our freezer is so small that I'd only be able to fit about a week's worth of meals in there. I'm addicted to a meal delivery service in our city though and I think that will help big time when the baby comes. All the ingredients and recipes are shipped right to my door, plus they're pretty easy to make. If we have visitors that feel inclined to help, it will be easy to just point them to one of the meal bags and hand them the recipe.
I haven't punched my co-worker in the face today. That is literally all I have!
Yesterday was my last day at work, and there were three people that should be very happy that I am gone for 3 months. Their personal safety was definitely in jeopardy lol.
It's Friday and I came to work every single day this week. Without killing anyone. Right now, that feels brag worthy. People asked me this week if I had plans for Mother's Day and I told them my fondest wish was a day so lazy I didn't have to put real clothes on. Yeah, I'm that lazy right now.
I didn't punch dh in the face when he dumped a cup of cold water on me while I was in the shower this morning, after I was up the entire night with our sick toddler. Pretty proud of myself for that.

WHAAAAT?! I would have done more than just punch mine if he did that. You deserve all the awards today for showing such restraint.

I'm pretty sure I would have divorced him at that very moment. Lol.
My brag is that my belly button is still an innie (almost 34 weeks)! Good thing because outties kinda gross me out. Lol. I probably just jinxed myself.

What is he, a thrill seeker?? Does he often engage in such dangerous behavior? Because pissing off a overtired stressed out pregnant lady is ill-advised at best and deadly at worst.

My brag is that i have made it To 34 weeks with twins. i may be a dramatic, emotional lady with constant complaints, but i am hanging in there as long as these babies will let me.
also i went to a communion party for my nephew and did not spill any food on my belly. Win!

I may be biased, but I feel that it is pretty bragworthy!
Somehow at almost 37 weeks I have no swelling. I didn't really have any swelling my last pregnancy either. This is even more of a brag because I would always turn into a damn blimp when on my period lol.
Re: Let's brag.

Brag: I did not punch her in the throat.

Double brag - I even felt pretty, after all that!

Solidarity. This is me every day. Every day that home girl leaves without a black eye is a successful day in my book.
