@CopperBoom86 , not gonna lie....when I go on Zulily or other baby outfit websites and I see all the choices for baby girls, I kinda cry a little. Wish I could say I could dress my baby boy in ruffles!
I need to pull out DS's clothes bins so I can sort them and see was baby girl needs. I can't bring myself to buy anything for her because I can't remember what we had that is neutral. I guess I have a project for tonight...
@annabenanna I love Zulily and those outfits are too, too cute! It's killing me to wait for the 20 week scan even though our ultrasound tech did give us her guess at the NT scan...
@coffee89 I have to do the same with DD's bins, but I've been majorly procrastinating. We don't actually know the sex yet, but even if it is a boy, I'm really sappy and have a hard time giving away some of the cute little outfits DD wore as an itty bitty baby... BUT I must declutter.
@rozANDbenSINCE2001 , you'll have LOTS of time to shop. 20 weeks is so close! SO made me promise to stop buying baby clothes. hahahaha. It was my first ever order! But he was like "you'll get 40 more of these at the baby shower!"
@annabenanna He isn't wrong. People LOVE buying baby clothes. We got about 20% of the things off our registry (mostly the big stuff), but man...we were swimming in baby clothes!
I know babies and little tiny kids can't actually read, but please Daycare Center, use spellcheck before you add anything to your website. Especially if you are talking about your team of experienced "educator's."
Anyone have suggestions for what to get my two SD's? We are telling them this weekend about the baby and I want "big sister" gifts, but don't really think they'd appreciate a shirt. I was hoping for something more tailored to their ages (6 and 8).
Another question, our cat sleeps with us right now. By the foot of the bed, and she has access to all rooms in the house. How did the STM deal with a new baby + cat? Did you do anything different? I think about the cat trying to get in the crib, etc. I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing...but I do worry about suffocating the baby.... or germs from the cat to the baby? Is that a valid concern or am I crazy?

I worry about the cat getting in the crib also but I think my cats will be too freaked out at first to try. Babies are loud and I think the second my cats get close and the baby screams, they'll be all NOPE! and we won't see them again for weeks.

I have a cat and she at the most would lay by the baby if we had my DD on the bed but she never jumped in the crib and basically avoided my DD in general.

No advice for the SD, but we have three cats. We didn't lock them out of anything (you know how much cats love closed doors). We let them explore EVERYTHING and by the time DD arrived, they didn't give a shit. One of our cats is particularly obsessed with DD (slept in her crib a few times), but the other two avoid her and everything else.
Oh and germs, I wasn't particularly worried about because our cats are indoor only.
Taco has basically treated Harper as his own child since I was pregnant and he still checks on her every morning, naps with her, and sleeps next to her bed.
I've started going through all my bins in the basement of little boy clothes to declutter.. it's sad to get rid of some of this dtuff, but I'm also thinking of all the space! And the majority of it is stuff that hasn't been worn for a few years now, so it's not as hard as it was when I was putting it all away the first time!
@annabenanna For your SDs, maybe you could take them somewhere special and "grown up" since they're gonna be big sisters? Like lunch at a tearoom or maybe to get their nails painted? I don't have any good ideas for actual gifts, though.
I was supposed to go to my niece's track meet this afternoon but she buggered her knee up and isn't running today. Now I feel like I have no excuse not to go to the gym. Boooooooo
@rozANDbenSINCE2001 , i like that idea! Esp since my SD's love girl brunches. I think that's excellent! We may bring daddy though..... since poor Daddy will be stuck at home if we don't. but I may take them to get their nails painted afterwards.
Thanks, guys! We got pretty lucky in the cat department. Taco is my favorite (don't tell the others) and he's just the sweetest guy (he is currently watching DD sleep). DH named him after Taco from The League.
I am Ragey right now, so the fridge at FI's work went out, so I had him take our spare fridge in the garage to work so he and the others there would be able to refrigerate their food an drinks because it gets really hot in their welding shops. FI left early this morning and didn't have time to eat because he wanted to get there and get the fridge hooked up before his shift started. After he unloaded it, he just pulled into the closest parking spot, clocked in, and went to work. His morning break is at 10 and he was going to go get some breakfast, but the bitch receptionist there parked her suburban behind him and three other guys, blocking them all in because he "parked in her spot", what the fuck are you 5?! He just brought OUR fridge for ALL OF YOU to use! THEN when he went and asked if he could get out, she wouldn't move her truck because it wasn't HER breaktime, so he didn't get to go get any breakfast... their boss told her "We don't have designated parking, go move your vehicle" afterwards, but now it's too late and he has to wait til noon to eat, and on top of that he grabbed the wrong leftovers out of the fridge for his lunch. I feel awful for him, and I want to do something terrible to that woman, she is always being hateful or doing something hateful, nobody messes with MY man! I feel like driving up there every morning now just to take her food out of the fridge and leave it in the heat...
Edit because I can't type when I'm angry apparently.
Ugh you guys, I am using the Bump on a PC for the first time EVER! I have the code for my ticker but I have absolutely no clue where I go to put the thing into my profile? HELP ME!! lol and yes I know this is somewhere in the noobs thread but I am being wicked lazy and well I am lost lol!
Yes! So excited GoT is back. My husband less so, he says last season was such a bummer he doesn't wanna watch any more because it's just gonna break his heart, but we're staying caught up on the HBO app anyway.
*mild spoiler / speculation below*
Looking forward to Daenerys recruiting a bunch of badass khaleesi widows next week!
*end spoiler*
man that scary mommy.com article is great, not looking forward to being visibly pregnant enough to get annoying opinions from randos, but kinda looking forward to ranting at randos for daring to shame a woman carrying a human inside her body.

Upper right corner, underneath the teal bar there is a little person icon (well, head and shoulders) click that (edit profile) > preferences > signature settings
then click the "</>" icon above the text box for html code and the text box will turn yellow. Enter your code and that should work!
We're huge GoT fans in our house, too. My husband was literally dancing with excitement last week. We usually watch that first then catch the later rebroadcasting of Fear the Walking Dead. I'm kind of lukewarm on FTWD right now, but man, do I love GoT!!
There has been a clear breech of the "No ODB in front of the kids" agreement in my home. My four year old daughter did NOT come up with singing the phrase "I want pussy for free" on her own... I don't know if I'm just being hormonal and ragey but I don't find this humorous at all, and now I'm the bad guy for being upset over it...
I think it's funny, but not if it breeches an agreement you made. We call our cat pussy sometimes, so I can easily see our kid yelling "I want pussy!" in reference to that.
@AllyTheKid I would be upset about it, but I know the day is coming that my kid learns words he shouldn't be using. We try to keep to a "no explicit drugs, sex or violence" in music when he is around but I'm not sure how well it's followed.
I neither like nor hate my job but really just see it as a means to a paycheck. I enjoy helping people, don't get me wrong, but the job itself is meh. I keep it because the shift time and length is perfect for me and only having to deal with 3 other people (coworkers) is an added bonus.
I'm trying to find an autocorrect for my sig and I am dying laughing. Tears streaming out my eyes. I can't even. I had to take a break to catch my breath

S.O. is not a GoT fan. He doesn't like anything fantasy. He just thinks my love for LOTR and HP and GoT is cute, but he doesn't get it! Oh well!
I was just thinking the other day, maybe I'll name this baby boy Khal. HAhahahahaha.
Took me a minute to figure it out, it's under the Paragraph icon above the text box:
