Ladies, is anyone as lost as I feel right now? I have been spotting for 6 days and my period is 2 days late, but I'm still getting negatives. I know some women don't test positive until a couple of weeks after a missed period, but with my first baby it turned positive within seconds and I was two days late when I took it. Any thoughts?

QFP. You're regular until you're not. doesn't look like you're pregnant at this time.
I am honestly surprised at the lack of compassion you ladies are having towards me. Most of you are talking to me like I'm an idiot. This board is about trying to get pregnant. We are all on the same boat of being a ball of nerves and waiting for it to happen. You'd think you would be SOMEWHAT supportive in your responses.

I wasn't feeling like you are an idiot. Are you charting? We need more information other than AF is late.....

I'm not charting BBT, but I've been charting when I ovulate and I take the tests as well and I ovulated when I was predicting I would which is why my period is two days off schedule.
@sarahannexvi I think you got some very informative responses that answered your question. We like science here, and will not tell you you are totes KTFU when you have BFNs.
As everyone else said, spotting anytime during your cycle can be normal, and if you are "late" with a BFN, you likely ovulated later than normal. It happens. Bodies do weird things.
My cycle ranges from 31-39 days long. Without charting and OPKS I have thought I was late..
Stick around and lurk if you are trying to get pregnant. The daily threads are great to learn info and figure out your cycle and be supportice. The group doesn't handle strangers posting well.

That's more information. The human body is not always predictable and AF can be late. You could be having a longer LP than normal. I would start charting BBT because you would learn so much about your cycles and your body.

positive OPK does note mean you ovulated @sarahannexvi If you look at the link in my profile you will see a 65 day cycle! During that time I had two positive OPKs, neither resulting in ovulation....once I started temping, I could pinpoint when it actually did happen. We are just trying to explain to you that we can't tell you much from what you have given us. Plenty of women here spot at different times throughout their cycle, or it could be your period, just lighter.
Start temping and we may be able to assist, if not, it is hard to expect feedback from us! You won't get people who let you live in la-la land here, if you tested negative, you aren't pregnant. I would think you would rather that then someone tell you "maybe there is hope!" and then that not be the case.....
Also, no women get their first BFP weeks after a missed period....unless they aren't temping, and they ovulated late..........

I'm not new here. I've been on The Bump for two years since I started trying for my first baby and now that we're going for the second I thought I would come back. Everyone was so supportive then and would cheer you on to make you feel better when your damn period came so you didn't give up hope. I didn't think I would get the opposite this time.
To the more helpful responses about charting and such, thank you! I appreciate it.
it might seem like these ladies were unsupportive of you, but trust me when I tell you that they are quite the opposite. There is a wonderful community here full of women who are there for each other in the highs and lows. No one here wants you to give up hope in your TTC Journey. I seriously recommend you stick around and join into the daily WTO and TWW threads. Show some support to others and they will support you right back. When I first came back after years of being off TB, I made my own posting error and it was a lot worse than yours. These ladies let me know it but in a respectful way, like they have to you. They also didn't hold it against me when I decided to stick around either. they're really great people.

You most certainly are new to This board. You have never participated in any of our daily threads and I don't see an introduction from you here as well. This is a very supportive group and you must give it to receive it. Lurk moar, read the newbie thread, and start participating and you will see for yourself. Lashing out won't get you the results you are looking for. Good luck to you!

I posted on this board over two years ago (2008-2009) and the culture was a lot different. Board cultures change as people come and go. I just came back recently and I read all the newbie stuff prior to posting. I haven't really hit a bad day yet since I just started TTC but I have seen these ladies give everyone nothing but support when you are a regular poster.

Also, we do cheer each other on.....but you have to participate and get to know us. Just because you were on TB before doesn't mean we all know you! This board goes in cycles.....like our bodies.......

We don't know you. As PP have said, you have to give support to get it. We have been participating and supporting each other for a while now. Lurk moar, participate moar, and starting charting. You can't say you've been charting your OPKs because I've never turned a positive OPK, but I still ovulate. I know I ovulate because of my BBT. @Zoey1019 gave you wonderful advice. I suggest you listen to her. I know I do when she gives me advice. That's how it works around here.
Unfortunately our bodies do super weird things and like to mess with us. Like PPs have said, a positive or negative OPK doesn't mean a whole lot unless you can tie it to other ov symptoms and BBT.
I'll agree that the culture around here has changed since I was here last time but it's still supportive feel free to stick around and join in the daily threads to get to know the ladies. They'll support you like crazy!

Re: Spotting and late, but BFN
If you are turning BFNs, then you are not pregnant at this time. If you do turn a BFP, no need to alert us here, just move to your BMB.
Also,
You're regular until you're not. doesn't look like you're pregnant at this time.

Also, a period is never late, you may have just ovulated late. You may also be experiencing a very light period.
