DH said "maybe we should have on more" while we were laying in bed last night watching DD sleep. Dude, I'm not even halfway pregnant, you shut your dirty mouth.
@MRSCORKER i found her intro post on dec board..... she's 22 and her boyfriend 35! I know there are big age gaps here and there on this board but at 22 and using the pull out method for birth control with your bf (eta) of 13 yrs age gap?
Um... These are the exact ages DH and I were when we got married- 7 years ago and going strong.
The pull out method is a bad idea no matter what the age gap.
@MRSCORKER I feel the exact am way! I'm a FTM too and I've had a pretty distinct bump for a couple weeks now, definitely not fitting into my regular pants for weeks before that (I'm 16+3). I remember reading that most FTMs don't show until at least 20 weeks and I was like WTF?! I've been trying to work out and eat healthy and I think it's mostly my belly and boobs growing right now, but it's freaking me out that if my belly is this big already, I can't imagine how big I'll be at 40 weeks! It's hard not to compare, but I know that everyone carries so differently. Also... Most non pregnant people have no clue what you should look like at 14 weeks or even what 14 weeks means lol. It made me feel way better when my cousin told me she gained 50lbs by the end of her pregnancy. I thought she was the cutest pregnant lady and I was sure she'd only gained like 25lbs. And she's now in the best shape of her life with a 6 month old. So I try to think about that when I get too worried about it.
I feel like a water buffalo. I've been my current weight before when I wasn't pregnant and never had a belly like this. I realize the baby is growing and that its part bump but it's not all bump. It's like, all of a sudden, my body decided all fat deposits are going to my mid section. I'm PRAYING it's bloat and that I won't be left with a ton of extra belly fat after baby is born. Feeling super self-conscious and low self-esteem right now. I'm only 14+2 and I keep reading that most FTMs don't start showing until 20 weeks and I already look 6 months pregnant. Anyone else feel like this? I'm embarrassed to tell people how far along I am.
So busy all day, I've only now gotten the chance to look at our board again! Totally gonna go to first tri and look for the train wreck.... but I'm also wondering why we don't have the regular boards anymore "Monday BF, TW Tuesday..." Did I miss something?
I'm sorry all. I didn't read any randoms yet, but I have to post this. I always thought kids were just off limits. You know, you can hate someone or be mean to that person, but their kid is just off limits. It's absolutely beautiful out today and so I took DD out front to play after her nap. We don't have any sidewalks in our neighborhood but everyone knows to watch for kids. I was walking DD in her little pink push car along the street in front of our house. A car was coming towards us and another car was going the opposite way so the car coming in our direction had to slow before they could pass. It was a car full of young boys and one of them yelled, "Your baby's ugly," out the window. Listen, I know it's not true. I know my daughter is downright fucking adorable. But it still made me cry. Maybe it's because I'm 3 months pregnant. Maybe because it filled me with so much rage. Maybe because I just didn't expect even punk ass boys to be that mean for no reason. But I called my husband at work in tears and I'm still upset about it. What in the bloody hell is wrong with people these days? Thank god my daughter is too young to understand. I just effing hate people sometimes.

I think the Bitchfest thread was claimed by someone who's never around anymore, so it rarely gets posted. Anyone is free to start a daily/regular thread if they don't already see it up!
Having just searched a few usernames, it looks like some have stopped coming here, deleted their accounts, etc.. I'm talking about some of the ones who signed up for weekly threads and even those that were well known on other boards.. Wondering what happened or if things were too boring for them.
@rozANDbenSINCE2001 , I am SO SO sorry you went through that today. Obviously, those boys are ignorant d!cks who have nothing better to say/do. They were being punks and they were being kids. You know how mean they can be sometimes. I know it doesn't make you feel any better, and I'm sorry.
@annabenanna Honestly, I absolutely do appreciate your response. It's just upsetting that people would be mean for literally no reason other than wanting to be mean. But, thank you for your reply.
@Piperella Clicking on the names next to the threads in that "read this first" thread doesn't work. It says "user not found" even though they are still active. You have to search for them with the search bar to find them.
Soooo I had the infamous rude comment "WHOOOA..Looks like twins" spoken to me today. In front of a group. As a FT mom I wasn't expecting this at 15 weeks especially since I haven't gained much weight. Yes, My pants don't fit but the twins comment really? This did come from an 80 year old lady who never had children but I guess I was still thrown off guard. The truth is I still haven't had an ultra sound (I will @18weeks) so I wanted to yell "so what the F if it is twins?" However I remained calm and smiled knowing I would have some quality material for our board.

As well as @kmalls (didn't want to double quote post)
Clearly by her other post I was referencing her maturity factor involved. She's presenting as if she's 16, not 22, and then thinking about her bf being 35? I feel like something could be totally off in that relationship.
We currently have chicks in the basement until they are old enough to get moved out to the coop, and those little assholes will NOT shut up! And we had thunderstorms overnight, not particularly close, but really loud, and we live in a valley so sounds get bounced around a lot. And i just got out of bed to eat a bowl of cereal because i couldn't ignore the empty stomach heartburn any more. So I got about 4 hours of sleep. Fx my kids are angels today.
@rozandbensince2001 what jerks! I'm so sorry. Kids that age can be so mean and I'm so sorry they did that to you. I hope karma gets them (see now I'm wishing evil on kids haha). When my DD was first born, my DH was such a proud FTD that he posted her pic on some public celebrity page (I honestly can't remember who or why but something on Twitter). Most people were nice but a few assholes made comments that she wasn't even cute. She was literally like a day old. WTF?! It still makes me mad.
After my BFP I put my date of ovulation in to some app, not sure which one, and it generated a list of dates. Baby's first heartbeat, start of 2nd tri, start of 3rd tri, when to start looking for movement, etc. One of the dates was when I'll need to start wearing maternity clothes. It said May 8th. HA! Yeah, right. Try April 1.

I like going to the grocery store but taking a toddler kills me. I'm.debating pizza for lunch so we don't have to go.
Solidarity, @coffee89. Ever since DS started trying to climb out of the cart, I've planned my food shopping trips around my moms free time so she can babysit. I don't need to deal with that!
For a couple days my feet and the bottom of my legs were getting bites on them and I couldn't figure out where they were coming from. Then the other day, I killed a flea that was biting my arm when I was getting in the car. I thought maybe it was a one time thing and let it go. Then last night, I killed a flea that was in the bed with me. This morning, I got bit by one on the arm and killed it... then killed one that was in the bathroom sink....THEN killed one that was on my foot!
We don't have any pets! But the people who live above us and beside us both have dogs (upstairs just one, beside us they have 2 or 3) but these dogs have never been inside our apartment, so they aren't getting in by literally being carried inside by an animal.
I've only ever dealt with fleas that are actually on animals...does anyone know some things we can try to get rid of the fleas that are apparently just hanging out in our house and feasting on my poor, poor flesh? And/or some home remedies to stop this insane itching from the bites?
@bamacoop - Thanks, now I have the heebie jeebies! Haha, but seriously, so sorry you're having to deal with that! I would call an exterminator. My parents have three dogs and one cat; they switched their flea prevention to something cheaper a couple summers ago and BOOM fleas everywhere! They tried those flea bombs you can buy at Walmart, but they didn't kill everything so they ended up having to call an exterminator anyway.
Y'all.. Can I be an AW and post this in the randoms thread? I just am so stinkin happy that it's coming along and the plus sized rocker was delivered yesterday. I just can't wait to rock both of my little gems in it! Okay... Carry on
@kmolleltz I know this is different because I can't get pregnant by my wife on accident, but I was 22 and she was 38 when we started dating. I'm now 25 and she is 41 and we are happily married and the best friends I could ever imagine. So, while the pull out method and their relationship doesn't sound the sturdiest, the age gap isn't a biggie to me.
@SuperNerd42@sjo&thetwins I love that there are other people here with wider age gaps in their marriages! I feel like I have to do some defending of our 13 year age gap to some people and it's super frustrating. Love is love, yo!
@sjo&thetwins EEP! It's gorgeous!!! Also, girl, change your name again and put an 'n' in there or something because we'll never be able to tag you with that blasted ampersand!

We had bed bugs invade from a neighbor when I was 6 months pregnant with my first. It was a nightmare. I feel your pain. I really hated the idea of chemicals but they were really out of control. I didn't know bed bugs were a real thing before this happened. I know that's weird. I think the fleas should be easier to deal with? Hope you get it figured out soon. I know how crazy and unnerving pests can be during pregnancy.
Okay okay I didnt really mean the age gap was a big deal. What I meant was the maturity factor involved.... by reading through her posts was like reading those of a young teenager. Then I just got to thinking about teenagers who "get involved" with wayyy older men and stuff gets weird.

@kmolleltz I understood what you were trying to say -- my last comment was in no way directed at you!
Thanks, y'all. My husband said his mom had a problem with fleas once and there was something she did that took care of the problem, so he's going to investigate before we think about calling in the professionals.
I'm just afraid that nothing will work, since I know they're coming from neighboring apartments. So even if an exterminator comes, unless he exterminates in the other apartments too, won't the fleas just come back?
If it were a normal apartment complex, I'd tell management and they'd probably get someone to do the whole building, but really this is a condo complex so all the units are individually owned. So the only things that are done by management are pool upkeep and lawn care.

@kmallsI ended up taking him and he didn't fight the cart for once, or open random packages. I am pretty impressed with him today, which means the next time I have to take him we won't even make it though the first aisle without a meltdown.

@jillianpardo Bed bugs?!?! Yikes! I'm glad (as glad as I can be to have flea bites all over me) that we just have fleas and not bed bugs.
