We're having veggie kabobs on the grill and potatoes in tinfoil on the grill for dinner.. I'm sure my husband is having a burger or steak but I don't need a main dish. I LOVE veggie kabobs. We have baby bella mushrooms, peppers, summer squash, zucchini, and oniond to do up with some garlic pepper! YUMMMMMMMMMMMM
This is beyond random, but it has been bugging me, so I'm saying it: I hate the yellow nail polish on the model's nails when the new "B" logo comes up as I open the app. Hate. It.
1) I'm too lazy to go back through pages since I mobile bump but I think one of you lovely ladies on this thread was talking about the Aden + Anais swaddle blankets- there's a pack of 4 on zulily for $32 (plus $7 shipping no matter how many items you get.)
2) I'm wearing maternity jeans today which I thought were so uncomfy when I first tried them on a couple months ago. Now they feel like heaven! No buttons or zippers? Be still my heart.
AW moment: my just turned two year old pulled out the potty and then proceeded to poop and pee! I'm beyond proud. And so hopeful that maybe he'll potty train before September.
@PoodleDoodleOoo -https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=68990086&cp=&parentPage=search This is the glider we've been looking at. I tried a bunch of them out at Babies R Us and this was by far my favorite....very comfortable, a little bit wider than most and not a pain in the butt to get out of either. My only complaint is the price. But I'm sure we'll get our monies-worth out of it. We're just waiting to order it until I feel like we have a place to put it in the house.
Had a scare this morning, some bleeding/spotting with one long thin piece of a tissue like substance. I have not been so scared this entire pregnany or cried so much. I knew odds were it was fine but so hard to believe it in the moment. Called my doc and was sent to the ob trauma part of the hospital. After a few restroom trips the spotting stopped. They were able to find the heartbeat right away and then did a u/still an hour later. They didn't find the source and said I did not have placenta previa but said the baby looked fine and "a beautiful cervix". I was told to do very little for a couple days and no extra activities for a week. I'm so drained.
Ack, @jhems776 ! That sounds so terrifying! I'm glad that all is well. And it's not everyday you get told you have a "beautiful cervix." I hope that a little rest sets things to rights and you don't have anymore scares or stress!
@jhems776I had some spotting about 4 weeks ago (so around week 15), with a tiny bit of tissue, too. Nothing ever came of it and everything has been fine since then. I definitely understand how you feel! My OB didn't give me any indication on what the cause was either, but a bit of internet research leads me to think it was either some residual tissue from pre-/early pregnancy that finally worked its way loose, or that for some reason my hormones went weird one day and it was some shedding from the cervical surface or vaginal walls. Since it didn't come back and there was no associated cramping, my OB was totally unconcerned. It's been long enough now that I'm fine, too, but I was absolutely stressed about it for a couple of weeks!
I'm really biting my tongue on a certain post after reading something on another post. It's hard, but I don't like drama. I think I'll wait to see if someone else says something.
@jhems776 Sorry to hear about your scare! It's the worst. I had one around 10 weeks and it was completely unnerving. Glad things checked out ok. Get some rest!
I think they do? I've never really received one though LOL. Just from the Bump Gods telling me that a post I reported was taken into account. LOL yes, I have reported people before. Thankfully not on this board. But I have.
Thanks everyone. I did remember hearing many of your experiences with spotting and was comforted by it and even believed I was going to stay stoic when it first happened, which lasted less than twenty minutes. No, they never figured out the cause and gave me the general maybe it was the placenta moving or a spike in estrogen. Now I have a nasty headache and am a bit scared to take meds. Off to nap.
Woah, holy false equivalency Batman! Thanks @LizC216@mom2adoodle and others who said something in a firm, polite way. I hadn't been watching that thread anymore, since I figured people were staying to repeat themselves. I feel guilty enough about the over indulging I did over the holidays, pre-BFP! I can't imagine trying to rationalize even a single glass now...(although, I guess I do occasionally have a literal taste (~ half a sip) of DH's if he has something new)
@jhems776 I'm so sorry you had a spotting scare. I had 1st tri spotting with both of my pregnancies, and I understand your reaction. It's so worrisome even if you know mentally things are probably okay. I'm glad everything is well and hope you can get some good rest tonight.
Has anyone else noticed posts disappearing the past few days? This isn't pregnancy brain, I swear. I've looked through my prior comments and 1 is gone It wasn't a dramatic post so not sure what's going on
@ajn092 I haven't noticed my posts disappearing, but I noticed the thread asking for ideas on a baby name with a random bump picture in the post disappeared. Which was very odd to me because you can't delete threads.
@jhems776 sorry about the scare but it's great to hear things look good. It's always scary seeing blood in pregnancy but rest assured that it can be very common, as you know from everyone's experience. Rest and take it easy.
@jhems776 I'm sorry to hear about the scare!! I can't imagine how stressful that might have been. I'm glad that you and baby are doing well though, take care of yourself this weekend and get some good relaxation in!

Dang I totally missed the drama! I'm with you though- I can't for the life of my convince myself to have a glass of wine- and I had a handful of people telling me all week one glass is fine- I just can't do it. I will have a small sip of DH's or my sisters, but that's the most I'll do.
Ahhh I found the drama. I always come to the randoms thread first and then make rounds at the other ones. I'm right there with you ladies. As much as I miss alcohol, I just can't bring myself to have even one glass of wine. So many people tell me it's fine, but I just can't do it. It's not worth the risk to me.
Did anyone see the reply she posted? She has since gone back and edited both her original post and reply. Just curious. At least we know she read our responses...
@beachmama14 Yes, I read it and was thinking about a response and then it was deleted. Wish I quoted it.
Something along one the lines of "I only had 2 drinks my whole pregnancy. I should have expected lectures but I don't need them" or something.
Your reply summed up my thoughts perfectly. How can you seem somewhat proud of having 2 drinks and allude to having more in the future and at the same time post about being so very anxious over an anatomy scan? Why add any more stress or anxiety by messing with alcohol?
Believe me, I will definitely miss having drinks this summer. That said, after having 4 losses there is no way I would knowingly do something that could jeopardize my baby/pregnancy.
@LizC216 my thoughts exactly. If she was so worried about a potential issue in the anatomy scan, which it didn't sound like there was, she should lay off the wine. People would give anything to have a healthy baby without any issues, not something I'm willing to roll the dice on. I was hoping she was just uninformed but it doesn't seem that way.
@beachmama14 I was hoping she was just uninformed as well. Even my last pregnancy that was just two years ago, I was told one glass occasionally is fine. I've never drank during pregnancy, but hearing someone else had a glass of wine would never have bothered me until today after reading they started recommending no alcohol at all. But the fact she apparently came back to defend her drinking makes me believe it's not a lack of information. Throw in the worry over what sounded like a normal a/s, and I'm just baffled over it all.
