  • Ugh. So my claims for my little hospital trip were submitted today. On the plus side, I'm glad I have insurance. On the minus side... That little stay of less than one day cost me about $2k. Let's just say my deductible has been met for the year in just this past week alone... :|
  • Is loss of depth perception a symptom of pregnancy??  In the past 3 weeks I demolished my precious rims on a curb when I was parking and scraped the side of my sister's car (and my own bumper, of course).  WTF is wrong with me???!!
One of my best friends has been in a car accident (all her fault) during all three of her pregnancies! I seriously think the depth perception being off is real! For me, I feel like I can't turn around as well, so parallel parking is interesting ;)

I just got a coupon book for Jersey Mikes, they opened a new one right by my house. I've been craving a flippin Jersey Mikes sandwich but I've made it this far and would feel really bad giving in this close to the end...WHY JERSEY MIKES, WHY?
Tomorrow they're selling sandwiches for $1 at Jersey Mikes. Customer Apprrciation Day.
I just looked this up because I was like YESSSSS and it's actually Jimmy John's doing the $1 subs tomorrow (which kinda blows because they don't have any hot subs). But I might go get my tuna on for $1 with no regrets. Thanks for the tip!
Yes, sorry guys! I got ahead of myself. I think I tricked myself. I prefer Jersey Mikes to Jimmy. The veggie at Jimmy is pretty good though. Definitely worth $1.

Someone reminded me that we can also get the BLT. I am going for that!

OMG BLT! Duh, you're a genius. I'm totally going to get a BLT the second they open today lol.
  • I always love seeing squishy little newborn pics, no matter who is posting them. It is kinda weird though!

@Charla1224 hope you feel better soon! Glad you and LO are ok.
  • I sent my husband to work this morning because I just knew the doctor was going to
release me from the hospital because all my tests were coming back great.

She agreed they all looked great, but said that with my history of cardiomyopathy, she wasn't comfortable sending me home in case it got bad fast. She isn't going to let me go
past 36 weeks either. I completely trust and respect her, but it was so hard to hear. I'm sitting here trying not to cry because I just wanted to be home and was hoping my baby wouldn't spend any time in NICU.
  • Hugs, @AliciaD39 I'm so sorry that you didn't get the news you were hoping for. T & P for you and your baby! Especially since they know ahead of time that you'll be delivering by 36w, hopefully they'll be able to prepare baby's lungs so that NICU time can be minimized. Keep us posted!
  • That's awesome @missnc77 !!

I'm all for posting our birth announcements, in fact, I can't wait to see all of them. That being said, I find it weird when people who post only a few times in the past 9 months post their birth announcements. I'm like:

    THIS!

@AliciaD39 :( I'm sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for.  Hopefully with the planning and extra precautions, you can improve your chances of making it to 36 weeks and having a really short NICU stay for your baby.  Hugs!
  • I'm so sorry @AliciaD39! FX that baby doesn't need much NICU time.
  • Congrats, @missnc77!

Ahh, that sucks, @AliciaD39. Hopefully you have a short stay. Sounds like you're in good hands!

  • @AliciaD39 I am sorry to hear that! It sounds like you are in good hands though. I am keeping my fingers crossed that your LO won't need any time in the NICU. It's possible!!

I saw on CNN that someone died on his estate... I didn't know they confirmed it was him?!!  :o
  • @AliciaD39 hang in there! so sorry about the news. thoughts and prayers for you and LO.
  • The guy that sits next to me at work has not stopped talking about Prince dying since I've been back from lunch... so at least an hour now. I get that it's sad, but I literally cannot focus with a comment being made literally every 30 seconds. He keeps looking at his Facebook and calling/texting people (with his ringer on) too. Headphones are my friend right now.

Guys. Prince is dead, the Queens birthday is today, it's a full moon tomorrow. We're all gunna have our babies.
Also, Shakespeare died this week. I'm fully okay with having LO this week. I'm over this.
  • I feel like Baby's getting crowded and bored.  I'm not particularly interested in him arriving before his due date (actually, for work-related reasons I'd love for him to arrive exactly 7 days late), but I keep getting hit with this sense that he's just bored in there.

    Anyone else feeling that way?

DH actually said something about this today and now I can't but help to think baby is bored in there too. I want him to stay as long as possible obviously, but it's just funny I started thinking about that.
