it should be illegal for the mfm to make you wait for an appointment when you're holding your pee. I am LOSING MY MIND. then dh goes "I'll brb I have to use the bathroom" If looks could kill.....
@mrszoess I would always sign into my appointments with the ob and tell them I'd leave the sample on the counter and go do my business then come back to wait. Unless it's an early ultrasound, my pee can sit.
I have the absolute worst habit of washing/drying/folding all the laundry and then letting it sit on the couch. It judges me every time I come into the living room, but yet I still won't put it up.
I actually slept 5 hours straight Saturday night. I didn't know what to think when I woke up in the morning.
DH I went for a hike at Hanging Rock (state park in NC) yesterday and we had so much fun. However, I didn't realize HOW quickly I got out of breath until yesterday. Hiking up the mountain nearly killed me. Nice to say Baby G has already been on top of a mountain though.
I had someone touch my stomach this morning. Given she's known for weeks I'm pregnant and we were talking about the baby but still! Keep your hands to yourself.
We're moving to South Carolina in July! I'm excited and terrified at the same time. So much to do! Plus I'll be uncomfortably pregnant for the cross-country trek. New doctor. New place to live. Insurance? Maybe. And I don't know ANYONE in that entire state.
I'm really weirded out with this MS. Before, if I didn't eat every 2 hours I'd get nauseous. Suddenly, eating makes me extremely nauseous (to the point where I immediately have to lay down or run to the bathroom because I'm afraid I'm gonna puke. I haven't yet, but it is INTENSE). Last night, I layed on the couch for 2 hours in the fetal position because of the nausea and intense abdominal pain. What the actual fuck?

Why is eating during pregnancy so freaking hard? Granted right now I'm super sick so that's probably doing more than anything to kill my appetite, but I look at all these stereotypes of pregnant women "eating for two" and I just don't get it. I'm either queasy, or I just have absolutely no desire to eat, or nothing that's a reasonable option sounds good. Sometimes I'm queasy because my stomach is empty, sometimes I'm queasy because I just ate, and sometimes I'm queasy for no reason at all. Maybe things will change once second trimester rolls around, but right now I feel like pregnancy would be the best diet ever if I weren't attempting to, you know, grow a human inside me.

I remember things getting way better with 2nd tri in terms of being able to eat with regularity and consistency without the BS stomach issues. Something to look forward to, right?

It is something to look forward to for sure! I don't need (nor do I want to be) ravenous. I just usually have a very healthy appetite and in general I love food, so not wanting to eat is a totally new experience for me. I need to keep my weight gain minimal because I'm on the heavy side already so it's actually probably a blessing in disguise. It's just weird.
Another random of mine -- I am a teeny bit jealous of all of you who have baby bumps to show off, even those of you who feel like you are "showing ahead" of where you are or feel like your bump is a "blump." I'm 11 + 3 and for the most part I can still button my pants easily. Between being plus sized and having a tilted uterus, I feel like I'm not going to show until way late, and I am dreading months of "is she pregnant or just really fat" stares. Plus it'd be nice to have some outward sign of what is going on inside to make it feel a bit more real. I'm sure I'm going to regret saying this when I'm 9 months along and the size of a house (FX that I make it to 9 months!), but it'd be nice to have a LITTLE something going on down there . . .

@simcal18 I am a big girl myself and I can feel the belly changing even tho I still just look fat. it's almost rounding and it's getting hard.
I've got a decent amount of belly fat down there and I can't really feel any changes so far. It may be a little bit firmer right down at the bottom, but I wasn't pressing a lot on my belly beforehand so it's hard to tell if it's any different, and I'm afraid of pressing down too hard.

Whoa that is super exciting! I can't remember where you live now? Somewhere very different than SC?
@simcal18I'm with you on that. I'm tall and have a big frame and am fat on top of that, much of it in my belly, and I feel like I'm going to start showing about 10 minutes before I go into labor. (This is unlikely to be true. I was in maternity clothes by like 16 weeks with my son.) My friend said she could see something today, but since I'm wearing my smallest jeans and they buttoned fine, I doubt that.
I'm 13 weeks and I told my bosses today. I would have preferred to do it in person but it had to be via Skype because I'm seeing one of them tomorrow and it's obvious I'm pregnant. I'm showing WAY earlier this time.
I had a dream that I was sick, and Google told me I had Zika, so I rushed to Urgent Care and kept begging to be seen because I was so scared and no one would take me. It was a really odd one that I had to shake my head at. I live in Northwest Ohio so not exactly in a prime spot for Zika...
@simcal18 I have a hardening under my belly button and if I bend over too far, I can feel it pushing against everything. Other than that I don't think I look it, but I certainly feel it from the inside. No baby movement feelings yet, though. I can't wait for those, they're so much fun!
Countdown to Baby H! Mommy to Elizabeth (6/18/09), preemie at 34 weeks
@Kaytee1087 FTM here and my uterus is definitely growing! It feels hard under my belly button too. My back was bothering me so I went to lay on my stomach on the floor the other day and I couldn't, felt like a rock in my lower abdomen! It also feels so weird if something touches my abdomen!
I also keep getting braxton-hicks contractions which is super weird too because you can feel a big bulge for like 30 seconds. All these changes are so strange but cool!
DH and I are currently arguing over the spelling for our choice for a girl's name. We don't know the sex yet. We had thought we wanted the middle name to be Faye after my aunt that I'm very close to. However, we decided to go with Elyse which is his only sister's middle name.
The first name is where we are arguing over the spelling. Either Lilah (my top choice), Lila, or Lyla (DH's top choice).

We decided to scrap out girl name after seeing an article yesterday which listed it as the 2nd most popular name in 2016 so far. I'm really bummed because it was for my grandmother and hasn't been popular for years (I've been checking, lol). Now all of a sudden, it's being used left and right and it doesn't feel special anymore. I know we could still use it and it would be special for us, I just hate the idea of our daughter being 1 of 4 with the same name in her class. I like old fashioned names but DH keeps suggesting popular 80's/90's names which are not gonna happen. My top 3 are Lottie, Hattie, and Caroline. FX he goes for one of them!

I can understand that. I think Lilah is picking up steam a little bit but it is one of the only names we can agree on, so oh well.
FWIW, I like Lottie (Charlotte?) and Caroline. DH and I talked about Caroline but we live in NC and it's just too close to Carolina.
Zika-related threads drive me nuts. Yes, it's scary, I get that, but how many times does it need to be discussed? There literally hasn't been a single transmission via mosquito in the US. Let's not fear monger. Please.
@MRSCORKER would you happen to have a link to the name popularity article you mentioned? I'm trying to stay on top of that data for my girl name but it's hard to find current information.
I love Caroline. That's what I wanted to name DD1 but H insisted on Carolina (Care-oh-LEE-na) and I caved. I like Hattie and Lottie, but I like them better as nicknames (i.e. Hattie for Harriet, etc.).

I'm actually the opposite with those names, I love Hattie and Lottie but I really, really don't like Harriet and Charlotte has gotten really popular as well. My grandfather was Teddy, not Theodore so I kinda dig the idea of having a name that is typically a nick name be the given name.

@kmalls the latest one annoyed me. I tried to answer nicely, but you're right we've had several threads on this (one started by yours truly). Of course I let her post and the responses scare me, though, and now I'm second-guessing my decision to go on my trip again. ugh. I'm so weak.
I'll be spending a few days in Maryland at the beginning of next month visiting my home office for a work event. Problem: I don't have any good maternity work clothes (I work from home, so my attire is PJ's or yoga pants most of the time). If you see any cute maternity dresses/outfits while you're out, let me know! I checked out Motherhood Maternity this weekend and didn't love anything. Also, given that I'll probably go up only once or twice more before baby, I'd rather not spend a fortune on said outfits.
@JamieK1882 you're going to Orlando, right? I wouldn't hesitate for one second to go on that trip. Honestly. I went to Miami at the start of this pregnancy and my OB didn't bat an eye. Orlando will be fine.
@MRSCORKER - I LOVE Caroline. That would be our top pick, but one of my close friends beat us to it.
@kmalls - Yaaassss. Please STOP with the Zika threads, people. How about just don't travel to a Zika infected area and don't have sex with someone who has and you're good to go. I know it could be a threat to the US in the future, but for now it's not, so calm thy tits!
@emmaaa - I have to go with your DH on this one; I love Lyla. It looks prettier written in cursive
@kmalls you may have guessed this already, but seeing another Zika thread this morning made me ragey. I just can't. Nothing good comes from talking about why it is so scary and there is absolutely no reason to revisit the topic unless we do have transmission via mosquito in the US (at which point it makes sense to talk about safety and prevention measures, etc.). I get extra bothered when I think about the moms reading this stuff who ACTUALLY LIVE in FL, TX, etc. I get that cancelling a vacation is annoying and all, but if you're so freaked out by Zika that you won't go to Disney World, you would think you would have a little more compassion for people who live in the states that you're so afraid to visit. But of course, no one thinks about those ladies when moaning about their travel plans. For whatever reason, this topic is a bit of a trigger for me.
@CopperBoom86 That's true. My main reasoning is that I'm not a fan of "y's" in general. Why? I have no clue? But since the middle name has a "y" I just don't like it as much. Who knows what we'll decide.
@agogo1 - yep, I agree with everything you said 100%. I think what also triggers my rage is when people preface a post with "Is anyone else afraid of xxx???" No, you're literally the only pregnant person that's afraid of a potentially life-threatening disease. Please tell us all about it. Bonus points for freaking out about something that is not in the US nor anywhere you will travel.

@br0co1ii Where in SC? You can PM me if you want. I live in NC and depending on where you're moving to, I'm very close to SC
I just bought this incredible dress that is basically going to be perfect pregnant or not. It has absolutely no tags inside anywhere and is second hand so I have no idea anything about it except that it is going to be hard not to wear it every single day. haha
