    I know!  I'm a huge klutz and have f-ed up my other ankle much worse before (also walking out a door and rolling it but off a 15 inch step while carrying suitcases, not a 6 inch step) but between already being a little less coordinated and H being gone for the next 4 days, I'll be quite a sight...

    @Sgoldberg247: Apparently not. Her mom is invited to the second one, which I guess led her to conclude she had the option of tagging along. I let her know this morning I was peeved about the situation, and told her I wished she'd let me (or the host) know before I had to ask, since she'd originally said she was coming. Now it's all "I don't want to cause any trouble. I wanted to be able to come to one of your showers, so if it will mess things up on the 30th I won't come. No worries :)"

     :| Dude. That is so not the point.

    I was thisclose to thinking I'd have totally drama free baby showers. Bleh.

    :) I've stopped showering and started taking a bath. Way easier to shave my legs that way. I surprised myself by being able to reach my toes. Not the best job but it will work.

    So..just realized we are planning a beach trip and my girls won't fit into my top...where do you bigger busted ladies find a top (bikini, not tank) that actually fits? I'm probably a 36E (ish) and I've ordered from places like VS and they just fell out of the "correct" size  (measured by them). I need something that won't make me cry when I pay for it lol

    Need some etiquette advice I guess. My friend's daughter's birthday is in two weeks - she's exactly a week younger than my daughter, so they're "friends" as much as 2-year-olds can be. She asked me at least 2 weeks ago for my mailing address, and I was like "oh, are you sending birthday invites?" and she confirmed that she was, and we compared notes to make sure we weren't making conflicting birthday plans since our kids are so close. But I still haven't received an invite. I feel super awkward asking, in case for some reason she's decided not to invite us, hasn't had a chance to send invites and is stressed about it, or has cancelled the party. But if our invite just got lost in the mail or something I don't want to be a no show! How would you bring it up? Should I just not? Is it unreasonable to expect an invite 2 weeks before the party? Argh I'm dumb.

    @Emztron500- I'd just say, "hey, I know we talked about this awhile ago, and you probably haven't sent invites out yet, but I wanted to make sure ours wasn't lost in the mail..." Just be casual about it :)

    Emztron500 - I've been in that situation before! I would just ask her - I don't know if there's etiquette around that though. Chances are if she asked you for your mailing address, either she hasn't sent them or yours got lost? You could even just ask her if she's excited about the bday party...or something that would maybe get her to spill the beans? Even after the convo is put onto that topic, you could then ask if she sent the invites out yet?

    I dunno....that's what I would do - but I suck at etiquette!

    super random, but I've started washing baby stuff and was reminded that lingerie bags work SO WELL for all those teeny socks!!
    Smart! Those stupid tiny socks always get stuck in the rubber stuff outside of the actual drum of the machine and when I fish them out they're still soaking wet and gooey with detergent. It is infuriating.

    So my daughter is in dance and her recital is June 5th and my due date is June 10.  I've known all along that I may miss her recital if I go into labor early (I was induced after my due date with my daughter).  I talked to the midwife today about scheduling a repeat c section (not sure about doing a VBAC) and she said they schedule them for exactly 39 weeks, which would be the Friday before her Sunday recital.  I asked if they could put it off until the Monday after and she said no.  So now I have to hope that this baby is head down and not too big so I can try a VBAC and hopefully have this baby after her recital.  Again, I know I could have baby early and still miss the recital, but that's better than intentionally missing it.  


    Also this baby still doesn't have a name.  Hubby and I talked about names for almost 2 hours last night and we don't even have a short list.  We don't have a single name we like.  We've already read an entire baby name book cover to cover.
