Ya I would never be pissed about a present especially if my husband got it because he's appreciating the hard work It takes to carry, push out and nurture a child. I never had a wedding band and my son was born in April so after I had him he got me a diamond band to wear as a wedding band and it was meaningful since April birthstone Is a diamond

That's what I was always told with my first, too. So I used that as my rule of thumb.

This hip achiness....does anyone have a good stretch to help relieve it? I've done child's pose a lot, but the effects don't last long, which, I'm sure nothing will help since that's just life right now.

1. That is awesome news about alcohol and breastmilk, because I've asked my husband to sneak a delicious unfiltered wheat beer into the mom/baby unit for me. That's what I've been craving. Something like a Blue Moon or a Raspberry Hefeweisen. Mmmmm...

2. Educated minds prevailed last night as I discussed with my husband the very real need for a comfortable chair in BOTH of our children's rooms, and we ordered a nice rocker/recliner (and it's from Weekend's Only, so it's affordable, which is what was stressing him out). Yay! Thanks for all the support and the affirmation that there ARE some things that are non-negotiable, because mama-said-so.

3. My best friend's bilateral mastectomy is happening TOMORROW. Ugh...how is this real? She seems great...focused, centered, ready...it's the rest of us who are falling apart. I'll be there in the waiting room with her fiance and her mom. Prayers for her would be truly appreciated. I know this is the right decision for her. I just can't imagine how it must feel knowing you are about to undergo that kind of trauma, and the recovery process ahead.

@MamaNicoleof3 there's a "hip opener" stretch on my prenatal yoga DVD that I like--you sit cross legged and stack your ankle on top of the opposite knee. It's not difficult, but the DVD says it's a really deep hip stretch. Maybe you-tube it?

@mamanicoleof3 Google prenatal yoga hip openers. I think one of them is pigeon and zebra but there are other poses that feel nice too.

Ohmahgerd I'm finalllllly caught up - 384 posts!!!
I just got back from my babymoon, we went to a B&B for a couple nights, and now I desperately want a memory foam mattress. My mattress is sinking in the middle and it's only 6 years old- maybe it's because it's a spring mattress and they don't hold up very well?? If anyone has an awesome mattress I'd love to hear about it.

Also, I know this is super late but @huskerfan2012 I'm glad you're still cooking :-)

As for the nesting. it's kicking in. I've finally got all my baby clothes, diapers, wipes, blankets organized nicely in Lo's closet. But, my furniture is still tucked away in my basement. I've given myself up to 36 weeks to be completely done.

@parsonsperson I threw a glider on my registry last night and told H if no one buys it we're using the completion discount and getting it. He didn't even fight me. He must have sat in my mom's rocker... I think I just needed someone else to affirm he was being dumb haha so a big thanks from me too, ladies!

@WinniethePoohsPants: We've had a tempurpedic mattress for about 5 years now, and LOOOOOVE it. Pricey, yes, but they're intended to actually last 20 years. We had a spring, pillow-top mattress that started to sink badly enough that I had terrible back problems. Tempurpedic fixed it.

We bought a Tempurpedic about 3 years ago because we had a stupid pillow top with the giant ruts in it. It was like sleeping in a hammock, all curved and no support. I finally put my foot down and yelled, "I am 30 years old. I should not be waking up with more back pain than I go to bed with!" lol.

At the time it was more expensive than we anticipated, but we were able to get a good deal by buying a floor model from a home show. That way it still had floor model discounts, but it had only been out for a weekend and it had always been covered. I would have never known it had been a floor model.

It is SOOOOOOOOOO amazing and worth every penny. I have no regrets about it at all. And now every time I go away and sleep on a regular mattress I appreciate the Tempurpedic even more!

I'm also a tempurpedic convert. H had to convince me (a lot) to get one...first the cost, ouch, and second it didn't feel that comfortable at first. BEST investment though...within a few weeks I was sleeping so soundly, not turning all night, waking up refreshed and hated even fancy hotel room beds without tempurpedics.

We splurged on one of the cheaper Tempurpedics last year and it's been a life saver for the pregnancy. Costco and Sams have them around $300 and they are good too, although start to get slightly squished after about 4 years. Totally worth the money.

Speaking of snort laughing....my random for the morning...H's first language is Hindi not English and he was taught English by some 1920s school marm so his phrases are sometimes all mixed up. This makes me laugh to no end (he finds it funny too and I'm not making fun of him in a mean way here) when I explain what the phrase actually is. Today's random phrase was "well, the shit really hit the fence!" instead of "shit hit the fan!" I love that the phrases are so random from him and he really thinks they are correct until I explain why the phrase means what it is supposed to mean. My favorite to date of his was "Man, I've really got to get my cocks in place" instead of "ducks in a row". I still LOL at that one.

@ahernandez16 - I know! I absolutely adore him and think the phrases are so hilarious in part because of his delivery of them (so sincere). We were cracking up this morning in the car when I explained why the shit has to hit the fan instead of the fence for the phrase to make sense. The cocks in place/ducks in a row is a running joke between us now too.

@courtjack- I get them a lot in the late afternoon/evening. I never had (or noticed) them with my other two, but this time, they're frequent and intense....not painful, but very uncomfortable.
