  • Oh mylanta, when I was filling out the daily check in today, I was sooooo thinking, "how in the world did Michelle Duggar do this ALL THE EFFING TIME?"
  • @DeePaddy24 Ugh I can't stand those women, my MIL is one of those. It just comes off as ultra braggy to me.

    Mine too.  Tried to force me to eat scrambled eggs when we were visiting because "you need to eat something!" and when I said the thought of eating them made me naseous, she went into how she never had morning sickness that lasted this late (13/14 weeks at the time).   La-de-fucking-da for you but I'm not genetically related to you in any way, your experience has exactly NO bearing on mine.  At least my mother had the courtesy to wait until I asked her if she had bad morning sickness.  Still irritated me when she said no but at least I was the one who asked.
  • I've got a random actual pregnancy related question that isn't important enough to start it's own thread. I was on my health portal website to see my numbers for my glucose test I took last week. They weren't uploaded yet so I was just looking around on there and found that in my notes they say that I have a history of GD. I looked back and that note wasn't there prior to this pregnancy. The problem is that I have never had it. I "failed" the 1 hour test in my first pregnancy by one stinking point and then did fine on the 3 hour. I did fine when I was pregnant with my son too. They even have the record of me passing with him in there since it is the same doctor. He was born at 9lbs 2oz and i was asked a lot by the nurses if I had GD and I always confirmed that I didn't. His sugar levels were always fine too. My question is should I call them and let them know there is an error in my chart or does it really matter? I know that it is likely I will forget about this before my next appointment, so calling would be the way to go if I want it fixed. I just kind of feel like my medical records should be accurate. Worth a call or just leave it alone?

    I'll forget lol I know myself and I am terrible. But I did notice I can send them an email through the portal so I did. Hopefully they can correct it. If there is a reason it says that I get it, I just don't know what that reason would be.

  • Sometimes they use diagnosis codes to justify tests. It could be that they coded the three hour wrong and the diagnosis translated. Mine said I had it before I even took the 3 hour, even though I didn't fail by much at all, so I suspect that could be the reason for yours.

    After looking further into my records I saw the note was added when I went in for my post delivery appointment from my son. It was added at the same time as the note about having a successful VBAC. I honestly think someone put it on there by accident at the hospital because my son was "big". I had like 4 different nurses ask me if I had it because of his size. It probably doesn't matter at all but I'm crazy so I just had to ask lol

  • @fishwife799 I would want that corrected. I don't really get the American healthcare system, but even if it wasn't a mistake (which it sounds like it was) and was because of insurance codes, I wouldn't want to chance that it could be used against you as a pre-existing condition in the future. Personally, I would call your OB office and get someone to look into it--and then ask your OB at your next appointment if s/he has fixed it yet.
  • @fishwife799 I would definitely get that fixed if I could. I hope they change it for you
  • I asked my doctor today (because I had no idea) when/if I would get another ultrasound. He said since I'm not high risk and everything was looking good- that I won't be having another u/s. He said unless something was wrong or the baby was measuring small there would be no need for another. He said all this while he was measuring my tummy and said "you're actually measuring a little bit ahead"... Wtf does this mean and why didn't he elaborate more? And why was I too much of a chicken shit to ask him urghm excuse me what does that mean? So aggravated with myself...

    I'm guessing he did the fundal height.I am not sure how great of an indicator that is.  Apparently I was 2 weeks ahead at one of my appointments last time.  They sent me right over for a growth ultrasound--she was still measuring perfectly on the average line like she did the whole pregnancy.  When she was born she was a tiny peanut.

    I can't speak to the measuring fundal height as I haven't had that yet but I had asked after my 20 week a/s when my next ultra sound would be & they told me I might get one around week 36 but it would depend on if they thought I needed one...

    Don't worry about it. Measuring 2 weeks ahead by fundal height isn't of significant concern. I was measuring ahead by fundal height around 16-18 weeks but all my growth ultrasounds are showing he's small.
  • @waitingmay14, that looks awesome!   Also, I didn't get sick after drinking the glucose, but I didn't feel very good either--I felt a little sick to my stomach.

  • @shannonrnbsn welp. I am a shamelessly immature pregnant woman based on that definition haha.
    That's exactly what I was thinking! As I moan and groan getting in and out of a bed a bazillion times a night and then whine about my lack of sleep!

    Tonight I was getting ready to leave girls night and got the crap for leaving early and when I explained that I'm sleeping like crap and exhausted I got "This should be the feeling good time, you shouldn't...and on and on" from
    my friends mom who is a nurse. I don't care what I SHOULD feel like. My back and hips kill and I can't sleep worth anything and that's that. Move along please...

    @WaitingMay14- LOVE the nursery!
  • @WaitingMay14 I LOVE your nursery! Makes me wish the newb didn't have to share a room with his brother just so I can decorate a room for him.

  • Thanks so much ladies. I'm so happy with the wall. I have the rest of the furniture being delivered this week then I'll post when the room is more finalized. The crib was actually our friends so I'm very grateful I don't think I would have picked French white. Hubby thought my color choices were crazy but he loves it !!!! Very calming and welcoming ;)
  • @KOR121 we headed to Savannah, a little less that two hours from us, just for a night away. Hope your anniversary was lovely!

    Sounds fun! We didn't do much since we are headed out of town this weekend and had house damage to repair last weekend.  Did watch our full wedding video last night (only have it it for 11 months).  That was funny.  :)

    I kept telling him - I want to go put my dress on.  Do you think I will break it being 7 months pregnant?

  • GL @WaitingMay14 ! I had my 3 hour GD test last Monday and didn't get sick, just hungry. Hope it goes by quickly!

  • @Kballew10 you just reminded me to take mine... followed by a stool softener because not being able to poop sans iron supplement was bad enough.

    Pregnancy is cruel.
  • Just drank the glucose test drink. Stale sirupy Fanta. Now the wait begins. Best of luck to all mommas doing it today!
  • @ahernandez16 - I hadn't thought of that side-effect... I should pick some up when I go get the iron today.  Thanks for the reminder!  And yes, pregnancy is cruel.  Much more so than I was expecting.  Damn chipper older moms who talk about  how "wonderful" it is... Lies!

    @kwife15 - Good luck!
