  • I only use mustard, ketchup=puke worthy @fbanke42
  • I mix ketchup and mustard together and dip fries in it

  • @fbanke42 my DH didn't eat a hot dog or burger till after we met. Even then it was just meat and bun. He's a weirdo! I say load it up except for pickles eww.
  • @NOLA520 I still can't eat pickles since they made me sick with DS.

  • I loathe pickles, steak, spaghetti, and sweet tea. Always have.  Can't stand them, have zero desire to make/serve them to my kids, would rather they not exist at all.

  • I've developed an egg aversion since my first pregnancy.  Only acceptable when on a bagel with cheese.

also I'm with @fbanke42 that mustard is disgusting.
  • Mmmmmm burgers...my "weirdest" craving this pregnancy has been cheeseburger with pickles and mayo. I'd eat that not pregnant too (though I'm usually a boring burger person too, just bun patty and cheese), but if I have a burger right now it MUST have pickles and mayo. YUM.

  • Thanks ladies, now all I want to do is grill out!  I REALLY want a Johnsonville brat on a hard roll.  BUT our grill didn't survive the move last fall and we haven't replaced it yet.  Grrrr.
  • @jadablue Agreed. Especially when it's not like there are secret ISIS parties in the neighborhood, it's pretty commonly known that recruitment is handled online. They should be putting more effort into monitoring that activity.
  • I've been wanting to grill so bad. I decided to plan a bbq for easter. How traditional right. Pregnancy Win! On that note. My SO was raised Jahovahs so the bbq makes it less of a holiday for him lol
  • @imrachellea I didn't mean to imply that we know everything going on, or even that we should. Frankly I'm not one of those people who cares if the gov't reads every last thing I do online. I'm sure I match up with the patterns of a ton of other people and am not that fascinating to anybody important, so I never get too worked up over the illusion of "online privacy" because I do believe it's for a greater good.

What is sad is that I was under the impression that the fact that Islam was a peaceful religion, and the other points you mentioned about extremists groups being the problem, were commonly known among the American public. I thought that info was dessiminated fairly quickly post-911. However, with the way the polls are looking, there are clearly A LOT of people who say one thing in public and feel a completely different way when they go home at night.
  • @Missingchampagne The unfortunate thing is that every time something big happens in regards to the threat to our safety, people are going to run for cover to their comfort zones. The old mantra of "history repeats itself" is no joke. Take a look back historically at all the times when society has created mass hysteria due to preconceived notions about people who meet one single identifying factor. We can look back as recently as World War II, the genocides in Rwanda, the Kurdish genocide in Iraq, even the assimilation of Native Americans. These preconceived notions people have of each other don't just go away. Even when we think we have moved past their stereotypes and fears, it literally only takes one thing to realize we've never changed at all. And that is really sad...

  • So the grill was one of the things in early pregnancy that made me sick.  It was painful because we grill non stop in the summer and I still crave a good charcoal grilled burger but can't be anywhere near the grill.

I am obviously the odd one because the more you put on my burger the happier I am.  Mayo, ketchup, mustard, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato.  YUM!  When I was in college my roommates used to give me a hard time about eating wet diapers because the burgers were so heavy.

I like a lot of junk on my burgers too! chunky lettuce, fat tomato slices....mmm.

  • @Ready4theParty The grill was KILLER for me early on. And apparently that has come back in this last week or so. DH would make stuff on the grill and even just him walking by me with the faint smell of grill on him I wanted to throw up. He made a prime rib over the weekend, and for dinner one night this week he was taking slices of the leftovers to do a quick high heat char on them...the patio door was open and I was feeling sooooo crappy.

  • @yodiggity if they find protein in my urine and decide to induce, I will cry shamelessly. I am NOT READY and am prepared to be uncomfortable for another 5 weeks because if she's healthy, I'm waiting until 42 weeks. I will not pack my hospital bag or install the car seat because I don't want to jinx myself!
I would be ok with going the extra 2 weeks (well, maybe one) over as well. I do *not* want to be induced at all.

  • The idea of going into labor spontaneously stresses me out. I was induced with my first two because of pre e and high bp. So far so good this time at 38+4. I've officially made it further than I did with #2.

But the idea of knowing when to go in, getting the kids where they need to be and my husband working an hr away causes anxiety.

I feel ya. Today (38w5) is as far as I got with DD and even though I went naturally with her, I was scheduled for induction at 39, so I was mentally prepared. Now that we have to have a plan for DD too, the not knowing is super stressful. Especially after weeks of irregular contractions and being partially dilated already.

  • My UO is I will not eat at Chipotle, Panera or Chik-Fil-A.
Gross excuse for 'Mexican food,' every item I've ever tried is blah, and bigoted. No, thanks!

I could not agree more.  I am feeling things I didn't feel with my first.  I feel like I am a FTM all over again because my gut is saying she is coming before her due date - which I didn't feel with Dd.  As uncomfortable as I am, I would be ok with going late.
