What was originally team green baby, became team pink baby due to my sister asking, well upon arrival we learned that it is a BOY.
Lyric Andrew was born on July 7th at 8:09, weighing in at 8 lbs 11oz, a whopping 22 inches long.
went i for an induction at 7:30am, chose cervadil, which gabe me strong contractions with not much rest in between. was given morphine for a sharp pain i was having constantly, didnt do anything to help. was dialated enough to get a different pain medication through my fluid drip (was dehydrated when i got in and threw up what i was drinking) and whatever that was didnt really help much with the contraction pain. doctor came in and checked my cervix and i somehow got to 9cm and he broke my water around 6:30pm that is when the real pain started and holy crap did it ever hurt! after a lot of pain and screaming and doing 95% of it without an epidural, i just couldnt get his giant head out, so i got an epidural because pushing was the worst thing ever. half hour after the epidural he popped out(kind of.. doctor had to cut my virginia and it tore a little more.. like 2cm total) so far no issues, kinda lazy when it comes to breast feeding though.
Was due June 24th but induced at 41 weeks bc of low fluid on July 1st. I was given cytotec and labor progressed on its own after one round. I started having contractions at about 4:30 and got epidural at 6:30 and started pushing around 10:30. Pushed for 5.5 hours and delivered at 3:20 am with the help of a vacuum Scarlett Marie. She wasn't positioned correctly. But she is beautiful and healthy. Only complication was I lost my Hearing in my left ear about 24 hours after delivery. They say it's a coincidence and I have sudden hearing loss-50%. I don't believe that. Im on steroids currently to try and get it back. It's frustrating bc at night it's hard for me to hear
Mackenna Jane was born July 3rd after my water started to leak at around 1am with no contractions. I told DH that this was it and he didn't quite believe me. We headed to L&D because it looked like baby had passed meconium (she had) so they admitted me and induced me with pitocin. I laboured for 4 hours with steady contractions coming on top of one another, but because baby was sunny side up agreed with the doctor when she suggested the epidural in case she had to spin her. Once we got the epidural (around 7am) I was more relaxed so DH went home to let the dog out and sneak a shower as the doctor said on average people dialate 1cm an hour and expected a 3pm delivery. Well in an hour I went from a 'tight 2cms' to a 10 and DH JUST made it back in time for LO's delivery. She had ingested the meconium and wasn't handling the contractions well, so after 30 minutes of pushed the doctor helped out with the forceps and I ended up getting a 3rd degree tear. Everyone is doing well though and we're beyond happy.
Hi, I am new to the June board. My due date was May 23 but DD didn't want to come out so I was induced on May 31 and Ella Paige finally made her appearance on June 1 at 8:14 PM. I've been hanging out on the May board since I got to know those mommas while I was pregnant but it seems a lot of their babies are 3-4 weeks older than my Ella girl so I figured I would jump over here to June where some of your babes would be closer in age. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here.
Sunaya Jade came into the world on June 9th. After dilating to a ten, I ended up having a C-section because her heart rate kept going down with contractions. I had an epidural which stopped my dilating and then pitocin. This may have caused the whole needing a c-section. I don't know but was upset about it. Then stayed in the hospital for 5 days bc my blood pressure wasn't going back to normal. I'm grateful my baby is healthy and everything is fine though. Now we are struggling with this breastfeeding which is way more challenging than I've imagined. Sorry for posting so late, it's been rough.
Baby Ivy Louisa-Ann born 26th June 4.33am via c-section 8lb 6oz, 40wk 5days. After waters breaking on the 23rd then having to be induced on the 24th to then not being able to go onto labour ward til the 25th even though being in established labour because the ward didn't have any beds free, was finally told at 4am at 8cm without any pain meds that I wasn't progressing quick enough & it had been 72hours without any waters around baby that I needed a c-section. Would of posted sooner but been dealing with a infection of my uterus & baby in general. It's so nice to see all the post of people's own experiences & baby's.
Our baby boy was born at 41 weeks 8lbs 8oz 21.25" long. He has been amazing and super mellow. His birth didn't go as I had hoped, however, he is doing wonderful and I am healing well physically. He's over 10lbs already! & 22"
Eta app won't allow me to add a photo which is the fun part of posting an announcement

While I was pregnant all I could think about was posting on here with my announcement. It's been a rough 5 weeks.
Russell Wade was born June 20th 7:56pm. 9lbs 8oz. 20.5" long. Full head of black hair. He broke his clavicle on the way out.
The hospital I delivered at is brand new and for 3 days each nurse said something different of how to handle his arm. One said the tie the sleeves together so he can't move it. One said to wrap an ace bandage around him. One said to tape it to him and so on. Finally on the last day a different nurse came in and asked what we had done to the baby (she saw the bandage around him) I explained what the other nurses had said. She was so mad. She finally told us that it's like. Broken toe. Can't do anything just be careful with it. Now I was mad. I let the head nurse know just how mad and that they all needed to get on the same page.
I cried the whole first week home. I couldn't stand how his arm popped. He didn't cry about it though. Breastfeeding was terrible but I stuck with it. I was miserable and at night it was like a dark pit of despair that I couldn't escape.
Fast forward 5 weeks. His arm is all healed and he's fast asleep laying on me. Couldn't be any happier with my little family.
William Collison was born on June 30th at 801 pm weighing 8 pounds 5 oz after a scheduled induction at 41 weeks.
It was a crazy morning going in at 8 am. The hospital I delivered at is a huge teaching hospital & when I got there they were full and unable to do my induction so they did a BPP and sent me home to call back. They were finally able to take me at two. I was dilated to 3 and 80% effaced when I got there. They started pit at 230 and I was good walking around my room and using the birthing ball. When my doctor came to check me at 530 pm he said I was dilated to five and my water broke while he was checking me. After that things got real. The contractions became absolutely horrendous. I wanted a natural delivery but by 630 I was concerned change of shift would be soon and I couldn't answer any questions except to moan. Alle I wanted was ice packs covering my body and at 645 I decided to have the epidural.
The anesthesiologist was with another patient and came in around 705 pm. At the same time my new nurse came in and I apologized to her in tears that this was what she was walking into- I was clearly an emotional mess. My husband had to leave for the epidural so he went to the cafe to get something to eat and update our families. The anesthesiologist numbed me and attempted an epidural three times with no success. Before his fourth attempt I really felt like I needed to push- I was feeling it for a few minutes but there was no denying it now. The nurse kind of told me to breath through it until I told her the baby was going to be on the floor in a minute. Keep in mind my husband is still not in the room so she grabbed my phone - I called him to tell him to come back (thank god he answered). He didn't know what he was coming back to. We started pushing at 735 and our beautiful baby boy was born at 801 pm after mom had a third degree episiotomy. Let me tell you... I'd rather give birth any day than deal with the recovery from this episiotomy.
Overall it was a quick experience 5.5 hours for our first child to arrive and we are so in love with him.
I'm super late posting this, but Jacob Charles was born on June 12, 2015 at 2:44 PM weighing 6 lbs, 10 oz and was 20 inches long.
I hadn't felt movement the day before he was born but just thought at 38 weeks he was running out of room in there or sleeping a lot. The next morning (the 12th) I asked hubby to take me to the hospital for monitoring. After 2 hours of monitoring, Jacob's heart rate started deceling and the doctor attempted to induce me. Jacob reacted negatively to labor, so I was wheeled into the OR for an urgent C-section. Jacob was born at 2:44 PM on Friday, June 12, 2015 weighing 6 lbs, 10 oz, and was 20 inches long. He also came with a slew of complications including, but not limited to:
-cord wrapped around neck
-umbilical artery torn, causing a hematoma
-blood clots in cord
-needing oxygen
He was sent to a hospital about an hour away since the hospital he was born at didn't have a NICU unit. He stayed in the NICU for a week and was brought home on the 19th. The past almost 2 months have been super sleep-deprived and challenging, but we are doing the best we can as first time parents. We are breastfeeding and formula feeding, and got through some lazy latch issues in order to breastfeed properly. He is the sweetest little boy though, giving lots of smiles and cute noises now. Daddy is absolutely in love and he is Daddy's spitting image. I am struggling with postpartum depression, but I start my medication and therapy both on Monday.
He is our little world though, and our miracle boy. I'm going to be a SAHM and we probably won't plan on a sibling for him until he's 2 or 3.
