I need to set up a consult with an OB. My BP is on the cusp of high and my 24 hours urine catch came back with elevated person levels. I'm oddly okay with it and it's just a consult. (Am seeing a homebirth midwife) Just hope my BP doesn't progress quickly bc I'm not ready for a baby right now!

Oh gosh I'm sorry to hear that. It is early, but hopefully they can catch it early enough that they can intervene now, if needed, and keep your little girl in there for as long as possible. I'm glad you aren't stressing - that's probably the best thing you can do. In the big picture, a little time in the NICU is a small price to pay for our babies...but I really, really hope that most of us can avoid that.

Luckily I'm at 35+3 already! So I'm hoping NICU time is starting to fade into the background, if she did need to come out asap. But yeah, I'm just letting it go and not stressing about it anymore. My body is going to do what it's going to do.

Nothing like getting beaten up by a sick toddler. DS spent the past half hour screaming, kicking, head butting, punching, and slapping me while DH was running errands. Yay. I'm really looking forward to taking some alone time today. I need a break.

DH went to the range with some of his friends and DD1 has been napping for almost three hours, which hasn't happened in ages. I can't bring myself to wake her up quite yet since I'm more than happy to have some quiet time

Little jerk calmed down as soon as DH got home. No beating up daddy--just snuggles. I see how it is. I'm chopped liver.
Holy hell my heartburn is back again with a vengeance ! It went away for a few weeks and I thought I was in the clear... Not so much tums just take the edge off enough so I can function
WWA16D? My headache came back AGAIN this afternoon so I took my BP with my at home cuff (so, not 100% reliable) and it came back as 134/94 and 141/91. I know there's protein in my urine (408 on the 24 hour). Midwife has taken a fairly lax approach, plus she lives an hour away and couldn't fix it anyway. Here's my options:
Lay down (which I'm doing at the moment) and if BP goes down, call it good. Go in anyway. Stop worrying, it's not THAT high.

@CCLow87 are you having any other symptoms? Decreased urine, dizziness, sudden swelling? Your BP isn't very high but along with the protein in your urine, I'd be especially concerned. Can you call a nurse on duty at the hospital? I understand being relaxed but it doesn't hurt to be a little overzealous when you're looking at something possibly serious. You've talked to your midwife recently?
Thanks ladies! BP is alternating from above where it should be to normal. Maddie didn't pass the first NST so we're doing another and I'm still waiting on labs.

Headed home! This time BP was concerning but protein came back negative. So they think I either have gestational hypertension or on the verge of becoming preeclamptic. They said my NST was "borderline". I'm going to get a consult with an OB at a different hospital to have co-care with my midwife the rest of this pregnancy.

Submitted my final paper for a class with six minutes to spare. Three more weeks to finish my other class, then three classes after LO arrives and I will FINALLY have my degree. Motivation is seriously lacking because all I want to do is see and crochet things for my baby, but having an educated mom is pretty important too, I guess. How are you staying motivated enough to actually accomplish anything as we get closer to d-day?
I'm so relived. My ILs got a place and are moving on Monday. I was worried that they'd procrastinate moving, since they all seem so attached to the house.
Why are places you rent so against pets?! It's not like the owner won't pay for damages when they move out! I also don't understand the two pet limit most places have (if they actually do allow pets). My ILs have been agonizing over what to do with their extra animals, since they have 3 cats and 1 dog. Luckily we set up temporary homes for the extras until my ILs can take them back once they find a house to rent that allows all four animals.

I had no motivation for school while pregnant with DS. I think the only thing that kept me going and graduating a month before his arrival was the fact that I did not want to do any more classes with an infant... Which is funny, since I've been thinking about going back to school to become an RN in the fall. DH wants me to wait until LO is no longer an infant before going back, since he thinks I'll be too distracted with the kids to concentrate on homework.
Omg same boat with ILS here! They just moved out last weekend! They had 1 dog 3 cats 5 birds! They has been here since june! I swore I would be having a baby with them still here. Glad yours are moving out, too nice to have a clean house again!
The good news is I finally ordered the dresser/changing table for our nursery today! The bad? It's back ordered 8 weeks. We have 8 weeks and 1 day until my due date. I guess this means I'm hoping baby decides to come late, because I'd really rather she wait until after I've had a chance to put things away before making her grand debut.
I'm kind of hoping it's an overestimate, and that the dresser will come in a few weeks earlier than anticipated, but I'm not holding my breath.

My ILs actually don't live with me. Their house was just auctioned off earlier in the week. They've been sitting on their hands hoping that the buyer would be interested in renting the house out to them, but he's not, so they have to vacate ASAP.
I'm actually living with MY parents until Wednesday, when we can actually move into our new place
Oh no! I'm glad they found a place! Glad you found a place as well! Moving sucks, but I think decorating and organizing is fun, definitely hitting the nesting phase !!!
My new health insurance card came in! Which also means the end is near. It also means I get to give birth in a nice, newer hospital that DS was born at!
@RoseShadow873 I second what @fbanke42 said. A spray bottle or you could try snapping your fingers or clapping your hands. I snap my fingers to train my cat. Everything from getting on the counter, into the bassinet, scratching at the tv., etc.

He is sneaky and only goes in it when I'm not around so it's hard to catch him. I am going to try the foil!

This is seriously my life. DD had some diarrhea yesterday and was really miserable, screaming and crying taking her diaper off, terrified she'd have an accident while changing. She has thrown so many tantrums today, I don't even know what is up with her. She literally wants nothing to do with me if DH is around. I came back to the family room after trying to squelch one if the tantrums she was throwing (after being to pin her down to change a diaper) and told DH "my daughter hates me". Every time I try and help her with something now she either flat out screams at me or screams "NO, Daddy!" Fine then. Maybe this next one will love me more

My mom and DH keep saying that they hope LO is attached to me more than DH, since DS is all about his daddy. I think he ended up being a daddy's boy from DH feeding him while I pumped. Babies bond from feeding. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that breastfeeding works this time around so little one will want my attention more. If both kids want DH's attention all of the time, we'll be in trouble.
@fbanke42 I BF DD until she was 8.5 months...And even after I still gave her at least half of her bottles She's just a daddy's girl. Or maybe daddy is just more fun, and slower to get angry/frustrated, than mommy...

Let me know if this works - jungle cat is an asshole and does things just to spite me. Plus, everything they make for babies to sleep in look like boxes.

@RoseShadow873 If those dont work you can try tape that they sell at petsmart and petco (at least by me) I put them on the ends of my bed when my 2 cats thought our new bed was a new scratching post for them. The tape is double sided so it sticks to the furniture without harming it, and doesn't harm the cats either. After doing it a couple of times, they gave up because they didn't like the feeling!
