  • @simcal18 I saw your TWW post and was so excited for you! Welcome to October 2016! I'm only a few days ahead of you at 4+5 with an EDD of 10/23. I got my BFP at 8 DPO so I feel like I should be much further along than I am. I also had an early loss last pregnancy so I understand the caution/worry. I'm just taking it one day at a time and focusing on everything that could go right instead of wrong. Congrats and welcome!

  • Hello!  I've been lurking on this and the September board because I'm not sure when my due date is (could be anytime between September 25 and October 10 due to a pretty irregular cycle).  I think early October is most likely (US next week should confirm), so I'm biting the bullet and introducing myself.  First pregnancy, not so sure what to expect, but I've really appreciated reading all your perspectives so far!
  • Hello!! I have been debating on whether or not to introduce myself, but my third beta test came out well so here I am! Based on my calculations, I should be due around October 26th. I'm very excited, but also very nervous because this is all so new and just getting to this point was a pretty tumultuous ride. Anyway, congrats, everyone! Looking forward to getting to know you!!
  • Hi! just got a BFP on tuesday 02/16, if my calculation are right my EDD is Oct 15th. This is our second child, we have a 9 year son. Super excited!!

  • Hello everyone. EDD 10/16 for kiddo #2
  • Just got my BFP Monday. Due date is 10/21. This is my second pregnancy; I have a 3 1/2 year old son. I am a Bump veteran and was around a lot when my son was an infant, but haven't been around much the past few years.

  • Hi! Got my BFP a week ago. I think my EDD is around 15 October. We've been trying for awhile and this is our first! So excited! And scared! But mostly excited :) Similar to what someone else said, already a little nervous because my dh is the best man at our friends' wedding on October 1st! I guess that's life :)
  • Hi. First pregnancy over here. BFP on 2/16. EDD is 10/29, but really I think that's a bit late, because my cycles have been 24 days long and I ovulate early. (I'm probably the 1%- the people who are fertile on their period, and based on my aunt and cousin, I probably could have gotten pregnant on the Pill.) We've been trying since December '15. But before that we had a long road of sexual dysfunction and pain on my end that had to have therapy and (no more) hormone treatment. Having to go off all hormonal birth control for my own health meant that I got to be very good at reading my cycle and that we are starting a family a wee bit ahead of schedule, or maybe right on schedule, as soon as was financially feasible.

In non-baby life, I'm a lawyer. Definitely almost passed out in the courtroom on Friday. Good times, good times.

    Hey all!
I am pretty early in my pregnancy, between 5-6 weeks. This'll be my first and I am excited and of course nervous/anxious about the 1st trimester. I had my first Dr. visit yesterday, had the "probe" ultrasound and that's when they said how early I was. I'll be due around October 19th. Other than breast tenderness (which is still there but not as terrible), headaches and general discomfort in the pelvic region I've felt pretty good. I haven't spotted until AFTER my appointment yesterday. There was a very light pink discharge yesterday briefly then this morning I went to the bathroom and there was a darker (a bit brownish red) blood, small amount, that occurred once. I have checked a few times since and there's been nothing. Could this still be implantation blood? The on-call Dr. told me to not worry but also if I'm heading towards a miscarriage there's nothing that can be done so early. I'm hoping beyond hope that isn't the case.

P.S How does this ticker thing work?! I've copied/pasted both...

  • Hey y'all. My name is Haley and this is our first pregnancy. We are thrilled but not sure what to expect out of my body. Currently I have mid afternoon nausea, wicked heartburn, extreme fatigue, and sore breasts. I feel like I'm fairly typical. Do y'all have any good tasting remedies for heartburn? Congrats on your little loves!!! I'm excited for you all.
  • Hey there. I'm about 6 weeks as well. I've had some light spotting as well. My doctor said it is left over implantation blood. I am due around October 15th. Congrats on your as well. O worry Anot every little pain and change but I've found that the heating of does wonders for me.

Yep, I've checked down there about 1,001 times now and nothing since thank goodness so hopefully that's all it is. Congrats to you too!!
  • @HaleyAParent Best I can tell, TUMS is safe for pregnant women PLUS you need more calcium (1000-1300mg a day) anyway (where do you think the baby's bones come from? Your teeth! AHH!). I added up all the calcium in my prenatal and my supplement, and I happened to be shy by a TUMS. So I take one at night before going to bed, because the change in position is what makes me heartburn.
  • Hey ladies.  I got my BFP on Friday before Valentine's Day.  Due date is a little up in the air, I've been EBF'ing and don't know when I ovulated.  I go for my u/s on Monday for dating!  We're shocked but happy, DD is completely unaware at 8 months, and 11 year old DS isn't totally thrilled.  But grudgingly happy when pressed.  Ahhh, preteen years!

  • Hi! I'm due October 4th!! This is my second pregnancy, my daughter is almost 4. I don't really remember anything from that pregnancy (overall bad experience emotionally) and this feels completely new!!! I could use some pregnancy buddies!
  • Hi,
I'm due October 29, but with 2 previous C-Sections, I'll likely go the week before. I have 2 little girls already age 3 and 4.
  • Hi everyone!  I got a BFP yesterday at CD32, and it was a complete shock.  We were NTNP, and because I'm older, I wasn't expecting to get pregnant.  I also had a loss last year, so I'm still processing everything.  Because of the loss, my age, and an autoimmune disease, I'll be considered high-risk.

Due date according to LMP is 10/26, and as I'll have an RCS I'm pretty sure this is the month for me.  :)  We have two older DDs, 3 and 10, as well as a wonderful dog and cat.  Looking forward to getting to know you all and best wishes for a H&H 9 months!
  • Hi everyone! I just got my BFP a couple of days ago, making my due date Halloween :). I am a mom to a crazy three year old who was born October 2012.  I was pregnant in November and sadly miscarried, so I am super paranoid about this pregnancy. My husband told me we are going to have to take out a second mortgage on the house to afford all the pregnancy tests I've been taking.

im excited to be part of yet another October birth month group and looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Welcome! I also had a loss this past November so I completely understand your paranoia. I've been checking in on the PGAL (Pregnant after a loss) threads that happen weekly and I've found a lot of comfort and support from those ladies who are in the same boat. Feel free to jump in there if you think it might help! Congrats to you!

  •  Hi everyone!

I'm 29 and from Texas. I'm a working mom and DH is a SAHD. I was a member of January 2015, but delivered my first on December 25, 2014 due to a surprise emergency c-section due to pre-eclampsia.

DH and I expected to wait another year or two before having our second, but this is a pleasant surprise! Prior to getting pregnant with our daughter, I had fertility issues for several years due to PCOS. The pregnancy was a surprise and a miracle. Amazingly, after having her, I have been having periods mostly regularly starting at 3 months after birth. I'd also like to mention that during the c-section they removed a large cyst from my left ovary. I'm not sure if this helped in anyway, but it was nice to get rid of the pain it caused.

Since then, we have tried several methods of hormone based birth control, but I was just too sensitive to hormone changes (even the very lightweight hormone methods, like the Nexplanon). I had my implant removed last year and my husband and I decided we'd do our best to "be careful." But ultimately, we weren't too worried because while our plan was to wait, we would always welcome another child considering the difficulties I had for so many years before.

I had actually planned on talking with my doctor in the next month or so about getting and IUD, but it's been really hard to rid myself of the mindset that it's difficult for me to get pregnant since it was an issue for so long, so I didn't make it a priority. And actually, we are pretty happy I didn't! My first positive hpt was on Feb 8. By our best calculations, our baby is due Oct 16, but our first US is tomorrow. Woohoo!

I immediately stopped taking my Adderall (I was taking a very high dosage for my ADD and Fibromyalgia) and very quickly weaned off the Topamax I take for my migraines. Transitioning from being on Adderall to functioning without it has so far been a lot easier than the first pregnancy. When I got pregnant in 2014, I had been smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, had been drinking at least one quad espresso per day, while at the same time taking Adderall every morning. Going cold turkey on everything was a shock to my body and mind. And due to my PCOS and low progesterone, my doctor had me on progesterone suppositories.

This time around, I was no longer dependent on cigarettes (I picked it up again and quit a couple of months ago) and had no dependency on caffeine. On that note, if there are any ADD mom's out there going through this the first time, feel free to message me with any questions about how I got through it, and the things I'm doing now to keep myself on track. I'd be more than happy to offer my perspective.

I had pre-eclampsia during the last pregnancy, but it was far from the only issue I had. I bled and cramped many times during the pregnancy, and lived with the stress so often that I got myself a heart beat monitor to help ease the stress. The first time I bled and cramped was around 6 weeks in last time and like clockwork, this is the same with this pregnancy. I spotted and cramped all day yesterday but I'm feeling fine today. Here's to hoping that everything looks good tomorrow! Just a note for first timers... spotting can be absolutely normal but it's also normal to feel scared.

All that being said, I look forward to being a part of the community again. Last time, my group was a great source of support and comfort. Knowing that I was not the only one going through the worry and stresses a pregnancy brings made me feel like I was so completely and utterly normal when I felt the complete opposite.

Looking forward to getting to know you mamas (and daddies)!

PS: Attached is the announcement we're thinking of using when we're ready. This was a practice round, but we love the emotive moments we captured so we may just keep it!

  • Hey Mamas! I am due Oct 16 with baby #2. The past few weeks have been an emotional roller coaster for me. It took a long time to get pregnant with my son and we have been trying for a second for awhile now. We had pretty much stopped trying and then it happened!! However, at 5 weeks I started spotting, which never happened with my first pregnancy. Needless to say, I was freaking out! I went in to see my OB, and my pelvic exam revealed a polyp that she removed. She told me I could expect more spotting for another day or two, except now it's been 4 days and the spotting is just getting heavier.
  • Hi Everyone! I got my BFP last Thursday and have an EDD of October 16! Officially 6w+1 today!

I took a HPT on a complete whim last week when my period was a few days late assuming I was being stupid as I had thought I was KU in November when for the first time in my life my period was 2 weeks late and i had been feeling really sick. I was shocked to see the + almost instantly! I was so convinced it was nothing I hadn't even told DH i bought a test. As I used FMU he was still asleep so I had to wake him up to tell him and he thought I was playing a joke on him just to get him out of bed!

We are super excited, this will be our first and I'm just hoping everything goes smoothly. DH leaves next week for 3 weeks visiting family on the other side of the world so I've told only onw close friend just in case of emergency.
I am waiting to hear back from tehe midwife clinic and also realllly hoping they can take me. I am a bit of a person in between natural and medical in general and will likely be that way woth the birth. Id like to try for no pain meds but also am.hesitant to put too much pressure on myself!

I have not noticed many symptoms however I've been on vacation from work for the past 2 weeks so have been sleeping in and taking it easy anyways. I have had a bit of what I think might be tenderness from my uterus stretching and changes in my appetite...i seem to go from totally not hungry to ravenous and then full from the tiniest snack! Anyways, thanks for listening and im excited to be part of the community!

I am in school full-time and will be graduating with my BA in Elementary Education in May! I have a 5 year old son, Ryder, from a previous marriage. This baby is a little bit of a surprise, but we are very excited for the journey ahead! I look forward to getting to know some of you. Where are my EDD buddies at? :)

This is is our first baby, DH and I will both me 30 this year. We had a loss at 7w in early December so we are obviously a little nervous this time around. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi y'all! I'm Cat, a paramedic from Texas and this is my first pregnancy. We're due around Oct. 21-24 depending on whether you calculate from LMP or likely conception / ovulation date. Got the first positive pregnancy test the day before valentine's and confirmed at the doctor last week. We're definitely excited, but a bit overwhelmed. Right now the biggest struggle is telling people / not talking about it since it's so early.

  • Hi. EDD 10/21. Just a couple days before my 30th bday. <3
  • Hey everyone!!

I'm due October 10 (I think! I have a very irregular cycle so I need to go for a second ultrasound to pinpoint the due date).  Hubby and I were trying for 5 years and we just had an appointment at the fertility clinic, but little did we know I was already pregnant.  We found out on Valentine's Day because I felt I should take a random test (my aunt has been having dreams about me and she -knows- things), and it came back BFP!  Definitely a surprise as we didn't think this could happen!!  With this surprise comes fear that it's too good to be true, but trying to stay positive

  • Hello everyone. I got my first positive test last week on 2/16. My husband and I have been trying for over a year. I was started on Clomid in December and took two rounds of it. My due date is October 23rd. I am so happy to be pregnant with my first baby, but I am still being very cautious. My first appointment with ultrasound is on Monday 2/29. I hope that I will feel less nervous after that appointment.
  • I am cautiously entering. EDD of 10/30. I lost a baby last May two days after seeing a heartbeat. Have 2dd. Hoping this baby sticks!
