My baby girl Charlotte Grace was born on February 1st at 5:23pm, 7lbs 7oz. I was due on January 24th and induced on January 31st at 41 weeks with cerdivill. It took around 18 hours for it to take effect and cause strong enough contractions to go to the hospital. I was in active labour for 6hrs 30mins with 18 minutes of pushing and baby girl was here! Her daddy and I are crazy about her!
Bryce Matthew arrived on Monday Feb 15 at 6:08 am. He's 7lbs even and 20" long.
We had a scheduled induction at 39 weeks on Sunday morning. Contractions started at 10 pm that night but once I had my epidural his heart rate was hard to steady and kept dropping with every contraction. He was born via c section with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 3 times so we're thankful he's a beautiful and healthy baby!
Welcome Thomas Lawrence born February 11th (40w6d) at 9lb and 21.75"!! I spent about 26 hours having contractions about 10 minutes apart with increasing intensity. I went to the hospital Thursday morning and was admitted at 4-5cm and fully effaced. They gave me an IV in triage and I walked up to my L&D room to wait for the anesthesiologist to get my epidural. Little man had different plans: less than 20 minutes after walking into the room I was holding my baby boy! DH, DD, and I love him. He's been a great baby so far (besides not letting mommy get any pain meds before delivery, but at least he made it a quick entrance!!)
Madison Christine was born at 3:12 PM on 2/17 at 40w5d. She weighed in at 7 lb 2 oz and measured 19 3/4 inches long. I was admitted for my induction at 6 AM, got pitocin by 7:30. My first contraction that I could feel was at 10 AM on the dot and my water broke shortly after. I had gone from 2 cm and 50% effaced at my appointment 1 week earlier to 3 cm at my first check. At 10 AM I was at about 4 cm and 70% effaced. At noon I had gone to 5 cm and 90% effaced but quickly was at 10 cm and ready to go at 2 PM. I pushed for about an hour and there she was! I almost caved but I was able to stick to my plan and have no pain medication, which I'm extremely proud of. She is perfect and we couldn't be more in love with her
Camden Daniel born at 2:05 am Tuesday February 16th (12 days early). Started having contractions Sunday morning and they were about 7 mins apart for 24 hours. Monday morning contractions increased to only 3 mins apart. Water broke at 4pm. Was admitted to the hospital by 6pm. Contractions got crazy intense but stuck with the plan to have a drug free water birth. So glad I stuck with it, and things went smoothly for his arrival! So in love! 6 lbs 10 oz.
After 12 hours of labor... We welcomed Whitney Joseph at 2:58 a.m. on Sunday, February 7th at 37 weeks and 3 days. He weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long.
Lottie June arrived Feb. 17 at 2 am, 6 lbs 6 oz and 19 inches long. We began induction Feb.15 at 9pm ( her edd was Feb 9), so it was long, but she is here and she is amazing!
I went in for my 41 week appointment and ultrasound to check on baby at 11am on 2/17. At the ultrasound they gave baby a terrible score and said scary stuff like low fetal tone and low fetal movement. I also had low fluid so they told me they wanted to induce that afternoon. The tech also estimated baby to be 8lbs 9oz. My midwife did a quick check and I was about 2cm 75%. Baby's heart rate was fine on the Doppler and he was kicking around (unlike during the ultrasound) so they sent me home to get my hospital bag and have lunch before heading to L&D. I was crying at this point because I didn't want to be induced and was terrified by the ultrasound results showing that baby wasn't doing well. We had lunch and baby was very active right after so I calmed down and we headed to the hospital. I am convinced that baby was just taking a serious nap during the ultrasound, which freaked everyone out. I hadn't eaten for several hours before we started. My fluid was low enough that I would have needed an induction regardless, but if i need the BPP ultrasound in the future I will be eating beforehand to make sure baby is plenty active!
Pitocon was started around 2:30pm and the contractions were regular but not painful. I bounced around on the labor ball and walked around the room a little bit. Midwife broke my water at 5:30pm when I was 4cm and I had steady contractions at that point so they turned the pitocin down. My body kept up the contractions on its own and they began to become more painful.
Probably around 7pm I was starting to push at the end of the contractions. I was 9cm and was still there when my midwife checked a little bit later but she was able to push my cervix to 10cm- shockingly this didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would... Or I didn't notice during the contraction. I pushed in a bunch of positions for about 30 mins before he was born! I ended up on my back holding my knees, which is about the last position I thought I'd birth in but it was working to move my giant baby down He was stuck on my pelvis for most of that time but then he came out quickly once he got past. He was born at 8:02pm at 9#13oz! He was pretty bruised and swollen from his exit but he seems to be good at breastfeeding right out if the gate! I'm still annoyed at the ultrasound techs for his poor score and scaring me to death - he tolerated labor beautifully and was in no distress. Also they were obviously way off in the weight dept! I wasn't able to stick to my birth plan and avoid an induction/pitocin, but was able to go pain-med free. Overall, I feel very fortunate for how smoothly things went and of course we are in love with this snuggly big boy!

Franklin Christopher was born this morning, 2/20/16 at 10:44am, after about 32 hours of waxing and waning labor. He is 7 lb 15 oz, 21 inches. I am feeling very fortunate that even at 11 days past my due date, I was able to go into labor naturally and amniotic fluid was free of meconium. This meant that I was able to have the waterbirth that I had hoped for!
Ellie Marie Peeks was born 2/19/16 at 11:46am, weighing in at 7lbs9oz and 20in. long. Went in to get induced 2/18 at 9pm. i had my epidural at about 4am when I was about 5cm. Although she was born with a left hand that doesn't have fingers, she's still a perfect happy healthy baby girl. ❤️
Asher Belden Super was born 2/21 (2 days pre-EDD) 10:37pm MT - if he'd been born in NC he'd be a 22nd baby, but nope a 21st like his mama (June) and great grandma (October).
He sure made a liar out of me, I told my mom yesterday that there was no way he'd be born this weekend because I hadn't been any dilated on Wednesday, in fact my cervix was still thinning.
Water broke around 8:30-9:30 am but I didn't really have a clue until around 11:30 when I realized I was having pretty regular contractions and kept gushing here and there. A quick stop at Target to pick up a few things (and to see if I contracted while walking around) and we finally stopped at the hospital just before 1.
They tested my fluids, we were told I was in labor and before admitted to a birthing suite found out I was 1.5-2 cm dilated. By 6pm I was 6 cm, and an hour later I was 9 cm.
I pushed for two hours before the decision was made that I was too small to deliver our son vaginally. My pelvic bone blocked his escape, and so I was given an emergency c-section.
Weighing in at 7 pounds and 7 ounces, he's got a head full of hair, my "fairy" ears (slightly pointed) and my nose. No measurement for length yet, that'll happen in the morning. But for now our little guy is sleeping and just as perfect as can be.
Had a little trouble nursing at first until we got a nipple shield set up. Now he's fed twice - once on each breast. He's had his first two shots and took them like I would - just fussy enough, funnily enough he hated the eye drops more and pitched a loud fit.
Summer Kendall made her grand entrance on 2/22 at 40w1d. 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches. Water broke at 3:30am, admitted into hospital at 4, epidural in place at 5. She came out after pushing through just 4 contractions at 8:53am. She's sweet as pie and a real pro at BFing. Love her so much already!
meet Haley Marie! I was supposed to go in on Sunday to be induced but she had other plans. My water broke Saturday afternoon and 23 hours later she was here! 7lbs 11oz 20in long. Bless all you momma's who go natural, I could not have done it without the epidural.

We did it! Sylas Andrew born 2/25/16 weighing 7lbs 5oz and 18 1/2inches long. Had a 4 1/2 hour labor with no epidural, just IV pain meds. Worst pain of my life, but sooo worth it for this little guy. Daddy and I are in love
Paige Karoline was born on 2/18 (EDD was 2/18!). I was scheduled for an induction on the 18th, but my water broke at 4:00 on the 17th, and she was born at 8:33 am on the 18th. 7.5 pounds, 18.5 inches long. She's amazing and we love her!
Nora Blake was born 26th February at 12:22 7#1oz 20 inches long after an induction began at 6 am that morning (41 weeks) Things went smoothly until they went crazy fast! I went from 5cm to the urge to push in 15 minutes my dr didn't even make it and in fact we were lucky any doctor was there he literally came running down the hall taking his jacket off and caught! It was wild but I was so proud of my body and I was able to do it without pain meds! Just as soon as I was feeling such intense pressure she was being born! We are both happy and healthy! My husband was amazing. We came home yesterday at 1pm and are adjusting. Since the moment we got home she has been nursing what seems like non stop!
My story is late (app never lets me load photos from my phone) anyways Miss Penelope Rose was born Feb 22 via RCS, nothing too eventful. It did take a bit longer due to my tubal but everything went well. She was born at 39 weeks weighing 7lbs 2 oz. and 20.5 inches. She is doing well and already has daddy wrapped around her finger. Good luck to mammas still waiting and thanks to all the ladies I have been able to get to know through this group since June, its been such a blessing to share this journey with you
I had posted back in December about my premature delivery of baby Charlotte at 29 weeks gestation due hellp syndrome/ preeclampsia . After 3 long months in the NICU, Charlotte got to come home on February 19th, one day before her original EDD! We couldn't be happier! Before and after pictures attached!
Well I JUST made it into February! Baby Maisie arrived on her due date and on leap year day after a very speedy and intense labour that lasted just under 4 hours. She was 8lb 3oz and is gorgeous! Will post a birth story and photos when have more energy!
Jack finally made his appearance a week late on 2/26 at 6:59 am (7 lbs 15oz, 21 in). My contractions started Thursday afternoon (on the way home from a nst at the hospital ironically enough), but didn't start to get bad until about 10pm. We got to the hospital around 1:30 am and he came out after 45 min of pushing just before 7am. It was the hardest thing/ most pain of my life, but totally worth it!
Our baby girl was born 2/27 at 40+5. She was 8lb, 19.5in. The midwife and nurses estimated she was closer to 9lbs because she has such a big head and kissable chubby cheeks
Alexia Rose was born at 8:02pm on February 28th (40+5) at 8lbs 13oz and 21-1/4" long. Water broke just after midnight on the 28th. Went to the hospital and they put me on pitocin once I got into my room around 4:30am. Labored for 19 hours total with an epidural before seeing that she still hadn't dropped and likely wasn't coming out the birth canal. Doc suggested a c section and we were wheeled off to surgery. I was incredibly groggy from Phinergan and feel as though I was in and out of consciousness even after she arrived. My husband took great care of her while I was being stitched up and monitored in recovery. She eats and latches like a champ and we hope to be heading home from a wonderful hospital stay this afternoon! So glad my February babe is here
Roan Cyrus is just over a day old! Although his EDD was Feb 16th, he's technically a March baby now. He finally arrived at 7:15 PM on March 1st! At 9 lbs + 1 oz, he is a sizeable little chunk.
On February 23rd, 3 days after his due date, Remi arrived at 10:21am. He weighed 7lbs. 2 oz. and was 20inches long. A quick, med-free delivery, and we're both great!!

Team Surprise turned team blue on February 24th! RCS and I got my gentle CS like I wanted! Very surreal experience!! Was able to watch little man come out, touch him through the clear draping, and daddy announced the sex! They took his weight and wrapped him up and he was able to lay on my chest the rest of the procedure. My plan was to nurse right after in the OR but I was having a tiny reaction to the spinal (I think) and having hot flashes and getting flush.. I didn't feel comfortable nursing with such little space but it certainly didn't take away from the experience! Once back in recovery, I nursed him and he got cleaned up and given a bath. He was 9lbs, 2oz and 20 inches long! We are so in love with our DD and new little man!! ❤️

Lucy Grace was born on March 3rd at 9:51am. She weighed in at 5 lbs 11 oz and 20 inches long. My water broke Wednesday morning (41 weeks), but I had no contractions. Nothing happened all day and was still only 1cm dilated at 10pm, so they started me on Cervidel. By 1am I started having contractions and Lucy was born 9 hours later! Completely med free, as I was hoping
The day my son was supposed to be born, my doctor said I was already two cm dialated, but after one week delay in birth, I was induced on the Afternoon of February 17. I was put on picotin that evening after a steady stream of minor contractions. At 12pm of February 18, my water broke.
I asked for an epidural around 1hr later. And not soon after that, my doctor told me to push; which I did, for a whole hour until I passed out from exhaustion. I woke up about 2 hours later and was told to continue pushing.
Everything was going smoothly, however when my little one started to crown, his shoulder got caught and his cord was around his neck. The midwife had to perform an episiotomy and with that he slid out with one final push. I was able to hear him cry only when the nurse took him away and was allowed to hold him only a minite later.
At 5:57 pm Michael Jae was born 21in and 8.08lb.
I wasnt able to hold him for a long time bevause I passed out from blood loss. I did not wake up until noon the next day. We were finally able to leave the hospital on the 23rd.
He is now breastfeeding very well even though he nursed from bottles for the first few days of his life.
Luke Michael Wayne Rogers joined our party on 3/7/16. My original DD of 2/27 was adjusted to 3/5 with the dating u/s. He was 9#1oz and 22" long.
I I was hoping for a VBAC which I did not end up with, but this was still a beautiful healing birth experience.
I had contractions for a few weeks and was dilated and 90% effaced by my DD. Sunday morning (40+1) I had a small gush of water. We headed to L&D where the on call doc was less than VBAC friendly. Luckily my water test came back negative and they let me go home after monitoring. I had dilated more just in the short time we were there so I thought this might be early labor. We were able to run some errands and eat out. Went to bed at 830pm and was awaken at 1030 with that distinct POP that so many talk about. My water had broken!!! My body was working.
We we gathered our son and things and started the 45 minute drive. Contractions came hard and fast. My husband panicked. He is not good with blood guts and although nothing was happening like that my pain level freaked him out. I called 911 and he pulled into a fire station on our route. An ambulance took me the rest of the way while he followed.
I I was a bit frantic by the time we got to the hospital. Pain was out of this world. I know labor is different for everyone but ladies who can go drug free are a whole 'nother level of crazy awesome crazy. My heart rate way bad. Babies heart relate was bad. And the same doctor was in house. Without much monitoring at all he comes in and tells me he reccomends another section. I asked him to leave. And I told my ANGEL of a nurse and my doula I would reconsider once I had an epidural and was thinking clearly. Right now my room was chaos and so was I.
Got the epidural - she was amazed I was able to sit still after having witnessed most of the action. BUT as expected removal of the pain for me helped both me and baby return to normal. I was able to labor they the rest of the night and they to the doctor shift change st 8am!!! Yay. No pushing till the new on call was in house!!!
The he new on call was super calm and VBAC supportive! We made t to 10 cm and started to push. He moved from 0station to 1 so some progress but after 3 hours of pushing there was no more movement down. Disappointment. I had been in labor for 15 hours with an additional 3 hours of pushing. On my new OBs advice we turned down the epidural so that I could try pushing outside the bed. She knew at this point he was sunny side up but could not push him back up enough to turn him manually. (OUCH TRYING) so I got on hands and knees for a minute then was able to squat using the back of the bed. I explained this as how you go poop when camping in the woods. Very classy. Still no movement down. So I threw in the towel. I am so very proud of how I educated myself this time and gave it my all.
During the section the OB let me know his hand was up by his face blocking him more. And oh his poor head. As you can see in the photo he was stuck on my pelvic bone. The divot has slowly faded but it is still there a bit.
I fiund out out it wasn't the outcome I had hoped for but EXACTLY the process I needed. I feel extremely healed from my last birth. I succeeded.
