@fbanke42 yeah I got lucky because it was a friend of the family who did my makeup so she didn't charge us.
@imrachellea sorry you have so much pelvic pain wish I had some advice for you but I dont really. The few times I've had that kind of pain nothing helped except changing positions often to alleviate the pressure in one spot for a little bit.
@imrachellea I'm in so much more general pain this time too! I'm telling myself it's because I'm older, obviously, than with my other two. That's the only difference I can see! I'm in better shape this time and have gained less weight. Who the heck knows. Hope you get some great sleep tonight!! Go get a massage and a pedicure!!

@CCLow87 Yes and yes to the better shape and gaining less weight! At least better shape when I started out, I lifted throughout my first pregnancy, I haven't lifted since Thanksgiving this time around I actually am planning on using a gift certificate DH got me for an aromatherapy massage and body glow treatment this weekend, just sent in my appt request on my lunch!

What's a body glow treatment?! That sounds fabulous!

I almost murdered two men at work this morning. I wanted a donut, so I went to the cafe at work. Two men behind me started snickering. One said to the other, "only ONE donut?" I don't know if they just thought I was fat (I had my jacket on and zipped) or if they assumed pregnant = eat everything in sight, but that was beyond uncalled for.

Umm no. They would have deserved whatever wrath they would have gotten.

@fbanke42 Oh...my...word...I would have seriously gone BSC on them.
@CCLow87 I don't actually know for sure what a body glow treatment is, but from what I can assume from the spa's website (the wording there is different than the certificate he got me) it looks like it a full body salt/sugar scrub and I get my choice of scrub. They have one called the Lady Godiva Scrub, which is milk, sugar, and chocolate raspberry...I think I may want to eat my skin off after! There's a more traditional lavender sugar scrub, and I LOVE the smell of lavender, so I'm not sure what I'll end up doing...
Actually, @CCLow87 here is the complete list of scrubs they have...any thoughts? I have actually never been to a spa or had a professional massage, I am so ridiculously excited!

If you don't do the lady Godiva and let me live vicariously through you, we can't be internet friends anymore. They both sound amazing! I'm going to have to look into getting one of these body glow things!

@imrachellea I'm new to spas too! My husband introduced me to them and I've been super spoiled ever since! I still say the chocolate raspberry one sounds divine!!

FINALLY got my freaking 1099 from Chase so I can finish our tax return this weekend...looks like we will get a decent amount back, leaving us with only about another 1000 or so that we need to save up in case medical bills come in at the max. Feeling so relieved!
Is it just me or do maternity shirts stain easier than normal shirts? I discovered what I believe is a ranch stain on a shirt I have only worn like 3 times now. Maternity clothes are so hard to come by and expensive too. It really makes me mad.
I think pregnant women are just more prone to being clumsy eaters/we have additional shelf space these days for food that goes rogue to land.
I definitely agree with the shelf space. Now it seems like there are usually crumbs down the front of my shirt! I have always been a bit clumsy but it does seem to be worse right now. Today at lunch I got hot fudge on the seatbelt of my car and came home and immediately spilled a whole thing of barbecue sauce all over the couch and my clothes. It was SUCH a huge mess and it was so dumb. I laughed so hard I cried and felt like I was going to pee my pants. I guess I'm getting ready to have a kid by getting a head start in trashing my house and car.
DH overheard some of the employees at work talking about how the only reason I could be with him is his money. It really hurt his feelings and not only made my heart hurt for him, but really pissed me off too. I love him more than life and his money doesn't have anything to do with that. Sometimes people just need to STFU.

You left out an important detail: what did you eat with hot fudge on it??????
@imrachellea I had really similar pain. Every step of my left side was agony. I broke down and saw a chiropractor who specializes in pregnancy. I am a little wary of chiropractors to begin with, but I was desperate. Turns out the baby's head is low and is manipulating my pubic bone among other things. She adjusts it and it feels SO much better!
@fbanke42 if those men want to make fun of pregnancy stereotypes, then you should go all pregnancy rage on them.
@CCLow87 sounds like your husbands coworkers are married to trolls or single with no hope of a serious relationship because they're dbags...and they're jealous of your husband's hot wife

I don't know if they realized that I was pregnant or not... I'm betting not, since my jacket was zipped up and that just makes me look like a blob. I'll take dry over fashionable when it comes to being at work. If I didn't have my jacket on I'm not sure they would have made the comment. If they did know I was pregnant, then they should know better than to piss off a pregnant woman. They shouldn't have been making fun of me, regardless. I almost yelled at them on my way to the register that at least I had an excuse for my belly. Both of them were not small men.
Maybe the guys at the donut place didn't mean anything bad. I would be surprised seeing anyone just order one donut at a donut place. I know I never just get one.
@RoseShadow873 It was the cafe in my work. They have donuts just set up that you can take to the register. The cafe also does hot breakfast, bagels, toast... Maybe it would have been different at a donut shop, but this was just a grab and go thing.
Need to vent! Just saw a second video in less than a week of a woman abusing her kids. Literally picking them up and throwing them down on their heads, hitting them with a stick, shoving the stick up their bottom, and so many other awful things. I cannot begin to describe the anger and hate I feel at that woman. I am so mad right now...I just...udhiwoxhdhskshxhhs...I want to kill her. WHO DOES THAT SHIT TO A KID??? What kind of person thinks it's ok to treat anybody, ESPECIALLY A CHILD, that way?!?! I didn't even want to finish watching the video and those kids had to live it. I'm glad that she got caught and is in a turkish jail though. Those kids wont have to deal with anymore physical abuse from that pathetic human being ever again.
@TKaiser91 the video isn't loading for me but what always kills me is the people who record these things happening but don't do anything about it. I watched a video ages ago of some punk beating up a deaf kid at school, then another kid beating the shit out of the little punk. At first I was like yeah! but then realized that not only did a bunch of kids stand around watching, they freaking recorded it!
@AmadorRose I completely agree with you! This one looked like it was a home security video camera. The one I saw last week the woman recorded her choking her son on purpose to show her ex how she was more "dominant" than him. I read she was murdered a few days later. I think I've seen 2-3 videos where kids were picking on other kids and another kid showed up with a teacher. It's just sad that this crap is happening and people think it's funny or entertainment. IT'S NOT!
I have the food stains and crumbs in the bra issues for sure. But also, I keep kicking things. Like...ALL.THE.TIME. I legit don't see things on the floor anymore. Almost fell tripping over a dog toy that jumped out under my feet last night. Not to mention the shopping cart wheel that all of a sudden was closer than it had been through the entire grocery store. Way to make my toe bleed and I am pretty sure either cracked or just seriously jammed my baby toe. UGH. DH thinks it's funny. My poor toes!

Crumb in the bra is probably one of the most uncomfortable feelings for me. I can't stand it.
You know how some babies freak out if they get dirt on their hands? That's how I am with crumbs in my boobs. And it happens way too often as I'm pretty top heavy anyway.
When you hit 34 weeks, a button that says "I gave birth" pops up on the bump app homepage. Makes it feel REALLY real. And really close. You've been warned.

I was wondering about this because I remember someone mentioning it the other day! I'm 33 weeks today, holy crap. I am ready (of course when baby is ready) but I have a "vacation" (my sister's beach wedding) planned in the final 2 weeks of my approximate maternity leave so I'd really like baby to wait as long as possible!
I have to vent about my 16y/o stepson today. We've been struggling with him on and off the last 6 months (well, longer really, but he's only been living with us consistently for that long). He is horribly addicted to technology and we've been trying to limit what he has access to pretty significantly. He's had his cell phone back since Christmas (taken away overnight), and some limited access to computers for gaming only as long as he is keeping his grades up. He missed a few days of school last week due to sickness, and we've been on his case about working with his teachers to make up what he missed. He's been lazy about that and lying to us and has now missed several opportunities to make assignments up.
But the icing on the cake came last night. I got up around 1 to let the puppy out and noticed his light was still on, so DH went in to check what he was doing. He had found his younger brother's laptop, which DH had hidden in a box of Christmas decorations in the garage, and was up playing games on it. He was totally unapologetic, not ashamed, just kind of a "whatever, you caught me" response. DH didn't sleep the rest of the night because he feels just at a loss as far as what else to do. We talked a little bit about getting rid of his iphone for good (which mom bought 2 years ago, without consulting us) and making him use his savings to buy a non-smart phone. And we've talked before about taking the door off of his room, although I'm loathe to do that. Idk. Teenagers are hard and I feel out of my depth!
@AmadorRose I'll have to go check it out! And not quite yet..there are 3 rounds of interviews for me and my team to pass. We've passed 2 so far... 1 to go!
I don't want to analyze data anymore today. It took three weeks to get this experiment done and now I have 32 excel files/430 individual samples to analyze. Too much thinking for a Friday. At least the person handling my FMLA is on top of her shit this time around and I have preliminary eligibility approval already.

Edited to add trigger warning
Haven't really been on for the past couple of days or so.. Been working 12 hour shifts for the past 3 days. I'm dead.
Had an interview for a promotion today, and passed to the final round!
Did I miss anything crazy? Gimme all the chisme
So did you get the promotion for sure?!? I don't know how real jobs work
