@mskeenan Don't mind you asking at all. We did an IVF five years ago and it was suggested at the time to do two. We lost all 10 of those embryos. We aren't ideal IVF success candidates Bc of that. We've had polyps removed (a field since then). This time around we had three embryos. All three were 8 cell at review but two were rated great at a 2 and one was rated good at a 3. We've read that putting like rated embryos in together has a higher success rate. Honestly though, after 6 failed IUIs and 10 lost embryos we were doing what would give us the most chance at success. Our clinic didn't even talk to us about how many to put in. Just asked what we were planning. I'm guessing if we'd said three they would have talked to us.

Just got a call: 7 eggs of the 9 were mature and all 7 fertilized normally! I am over the moon right now! We have to wait until Monday to get final growth numbers, but we have this hope now.

@jerseygirl856 I'm feeling ok. Like I said no real symptoms, though today I've been pretty dizzy/lightheaded, something not unusual for me but who knows. Emotionally, it's been depending on the day. We found out we had no embryos make it to freeze, so it's a little stressful knowing that FET won't be an option if this round doesn't work out. Fingers crossed, all it takes is one good one!
I must have had a defective frer!! I knew it couldn't go from a positive digital to bfn in 12 hours on a frer. So I tested again this afternoon: For sure bfp! Beta in the morning!

Ladies, I am just now finally able to post. I had my first ever egg retrieval yesterday: 7 eggs, 6 mature, and 5 fertilized. We go back on Tuesday to pick up a couple of the embryos.
Some background: I am 36 years old, husband is 39 years old, we tried for two years without assistance with no luck, tried 2 IUI without any luck, so we moved to IFV. We have never had a positive pregnancy test.
Just got my third beta call girls! Up to 3945 from 498 a week ago. I'm clear until ultrasound on 3/3!! Guess I'm okay with saying now, I'm definitely pregnant!!!!
