So i just threw up chocolate chip muffins all over myself. Literally all down my front because i couldn't move quick enough. Today sucks
I almost threw up all over myself this morning too I still get random days of nausea every few weeks, today was one of those days. I was driving too, so I was frantically looking around for something I could get sick in as I forced myself to hold it in, was about to pull into the Walgreen's parking lot and grace the pavement, but it started to subside. So far I've made it without getting sick...and I get to leave in 20 minutes since I already called a half day for an appt.
@elasticheart13 my nesting has manifested only in crafts. I've bought the crib and crib mattress because MIL wanted to pay for them and I want to set them up before I'm a planet, but all of my other things are either hand-me-downs or made by hand. I despise all the pink for girls but I can justify the pink in LOs closet because every single piece is a gift or a hand-me-down from her cousins.
Also, those colors
@TKaiser91 that's awful. I'd give you creepy internet hugs but vomit grosses me out
UGH I spoke too soon. Pulled into my driveway after leaving work for my half day, didn't even get the car turned off before I was getting sick on the front lawn. I swear, this pregnancy is as difficult on me physically as DD1s was easy on me! Maybe that means labor will be easy and uneventful, since DD1s most definitely was not...
Omg guys, can we please agree that no one should post in the birth announcement thread unless they gave birth? I nearly had a heart attack when I saw someone posted in the thread

Absolutely! I freaked out when it popped back up today, until I read that it was just to get it pinned.

Someone else just posted, I was like "oh no, I'm not ready for this!"
UGH, me too @AmadorRose and @elasticheart13 I am so pumped to see all our little squishy faces when the time is right, but SO not yet!! Not only that, but the person who originally posted the thread doesn't ever post on the board...I was wondering if it was a driveby when they originally posted it, but then she bumped it up today. WEIRD!
Effective today, army and Air Force females are entitled to 12 weeks of continuous maternity leave. Woo! I'm so happy and hormonal I want to cry!
Yay!
I'm also incredibly jealous of how much time off some of you guys are going to be taking with your LOs. I was so hoping to get the full 12 weeks off this time around, but nothing is working in my favor. Maybe I'll get my full 12 weeks when I have my third in about 4 years.
Means I need to stop looking at the nursery thread. I have no where to put LO currently and it's starting to get to me. DH and I are going to go look at places this weekend, so we might just move next month.
My SO's brother in law asked me yesterday if I'm one of those women who really enjoy being pregnant...how do you even answer that? lol
I told him no. I mean I've had a fairly easy pregnancy considering I'm high risk but it's not been the most enjoyable experience of my life. I'm totally excited and love feeling baby in my belly, etc but the mood swings during the end of the first trimester and the end of the second trimester were pretty terrible and made both me and my SO miserable. I'm honestly pretty nervous about the PP hormone flush.
Not sure that's something I want to go through again.
First of all, none of you are allowed to post in the birth announcement thread for at least another 6 weeks, ok??? I also nearly had a heart attack and held my breath hoping it wasn't a username I recognized from here.
Second, can I get a vote?? My baby shower is going to be all the bright primary-ish colors, kind of like the photo below. I am going to have a calendar where all guests will get to guess the sex and the birth date, and also thought it would be fun to do a 'wear your guess' with mardi gras beads. I like pink just fine (although not over-the-top pink!) but it felt to me like with my color scheme, I should have red mardi gras beads for the 'girl' guess and blue for the 'boy' guess for the guests to wear. My sister thinks I should just deviate from the color scheme and get traditional pink and blue because it's the obvious choice. Thoughts?
(P.S. I'm TOTALLY overthinking this. I blame preggo brain.) (ETA: P.P.S. in case I wasn't clear, we are team green.)
@emgee27I vote stick with your theme and red If anyone is confused by those options, they have bigger fish to fry. @AmadorRose, that is awesome! @yodiggity, I'm starting to believe "those" women don't really exist. I mean, I've heard people say that online, but I've yet to meet anyone IRL who actually enjoys it. I think it's like people's posts on facebook, where they only present the best aspects of things, and then their real life is much more...realistic.

Deviate! I wanted to do green and red for both of our LOs sex reveals, but DH vetoed it.
I switch health insurance plans as of March, and I'm now having to schedule appointments with a new doctor. The stupid thing said that they would call me back in 20-30 minutes. It's been 50 and I have to clock back in. Not looking forward to telling my current doctor that I'm leaving her.

I'm due in exactly six weeks... Don't freak if I post before that :P My mom apparently had me at 36 weeks, and between genetics, and how the baby is measuring/laying in there I'm probably going early.

You get four weeks. No less. You better push him back in if he tries to come before

Yeah...if the kegels don't help with incontinence I might try Ben-wa balls but I won't be picking up pineapples with my vagina. Seriously, is this what people do with their free time?

I can totally see the practical applications. I often wish I had an extra hand to carry my groceries in. Use my snatch to carry fruit? Problem solved!

A mom on the April 2016 Facebook group just posted that her water broke. She is 31w 5d!
Did she say her doctor said her water broke or that she is sure her water broke? I've had tons of people claim that their water broke and they actually just peed themselves.
Thank you to all the mamas who said I looked pretty yesterday It was kind of nerve wracking for me to stand in front of a camera and be the center of attention being worried how I looked or if my double chin reared its ugly head. But looking back at the comments, you all made me feel better about myself.
@emgee27 I vote for red! 1. Because it is my favorite color. 2. Stick with your color scheme so it doesn't clash 3. Who cares about traditional colors anyway!

I won't lie, I kind of laughed at this, then subsequently peed myself lol
