@onislandtime I love that!! Where did you get it? @PYLWhammy mine is the same day, 3/20!! Wait, aren't you in RI too??
I have noooo idea what to wear. None. I was looking at some cute stuff on Destination Maternity but I just don't know. Clothes are such a crap shoot these days.
I'm in MD! Though my shower on 3/20 will be in my home state (MI).
LOL duhhhh I don't know why I thought you were in RI
Am I the only one who has never even considered buying a brand new outfit for the baby shower? I guess my shower just won't be that formal. I assume I'll just wear jeans and a nice top like I have to all my friends' showers. Maternity clothes are just so darn expensive, and the farther along I get, the less I want to spend money on something I'll only wear for a couple of months at most! Just my opinion, though. I loathe shopping for clothes at any time. Doubly so when I'm a huge whale getting huger every day.
I am obsessed with this dress from Pink Blush! Unfortunately, it is sold out in my size and I have no idea if/when it's coming back. Fingers are crossed that it either becomes available again soon, or that I find something similar elsewhere that I like.
Keep an eye on Zulilly. They have these dresses ass the time!

This typo is my new favorite thing. I loled.
Me too! I burst out laughing in the middle of lunch when I read this and got all sorts of inquisitive looks from coworkers.

I certainly wasn't planning on it, but I'm going to get advice from my hosts. In all the baby showers I've been to, I've never paid attention to what the MTB was wearing, so I have no clue! I do NOT want to spend the money on a new outfit if I can avoid it! Wish I could just go to the shower in lounge pants and a hoodie
I definitely have to wear a dress. My one aunt has a tendency to pull up shirts of mother to bes at showers! (She is a maternity nurse so she is just so touchy and grabby) I don't think she would pull up a whole dress though (fingers crossed!)
Bought this this for my April 3rd shower. Hoping it still looks good when it comes time. I honestly didn't love the quality of pink blush clothes but my DH loves the dress itself so I didn't have the heart to return it.
Fake bumps aside....none of these models have cankles or see-'em-from-space boobies
THIS. Annoys me so much. I especially hate when they don't even use a fake bump or they use someone who is like barely showing. I wanna see what these things look like at 7-8 months pregnant, when boobs don't fit and ankles are barely recognizable!

You should see gaps maternity models and dresses lol. If they look horrible on the super skinny model, you know they will look terrible on regular people! I'm really disappointed in their selection.
I have my work baby shower today and since it's at a courthouse/after my client's hearings, I'm just wearing black maternity dress pants and a dressy pink sweater. My family & friend baby shower is April 2nd and I have my eye on a light pink dress from H&M, but I haven't ordered it yet!
Is anyone else super pissed that pretty much ALL the clothes on Pink Blush maternity are out of stock?! or is it just my bad luck? Not so much the dresses but ALL the cute tops I wanted to order. They have nothing! UGH.

I am famous for my raunchy typos. At work, when writing "shirts", at least once a day I write Shit instead. Once almost had 50,000 price tickets printed with Shits. Thank God I caught that!!!

Did you happen to find that the dress was like paper thin? Seems like a lot of money to charge for such thin fabric IMHO. I also bought a shirt from there back in Nov. I wore it three times and its piling so bad I cannot wear it anymore. Bummer.
I'm going to probably be the odd one out here. More than likely you won't catch this tomboy in a dress unless it's the only thing I can fit into by then; with that being said I bought a tshirt material maternity dress off of clearance rack for like five dollars. It is if I don't have anything else to wear that will fit. Nothing dressy about it. My shower is April 2nd. I have no idea what I'm going to wear. I probably won't stray too far from my original attire though. I only dress up for weddings and funerals. There is no theme for my shower. It is just a floating shower. And the guest list is all family and a handful of my friends.

I'm there with you. You won't find me in a dress unless it's either a formal event. I literally wear one a year for our work Christmas party. It's not that I don't like the way they look though... I've seen some pretty cute dresses I might actually try. I think I'm just so set in my ways that it's a hard line to cross. Also doesn't help that my work has super casual dress code where I could wear jeans and tshirts every day if I wanted.
My shower is on March 6th, and I'll probably wear this: I also have it in blue/turquoise. I'll throw on a sweater if it's chilly. That time of year, here in Texas, you never know!
March 12th! I'm excited! I ended up scoring this dress at a second hand store, which was lucky because I was having a hard time finding plus size maternity dresses that I liked. It's an Old Navy maternity maxi.
My shower is March 19th. I will probably wear sweat pants and my boyfriend's Tshirt since my mother is insisting it be a surprise shower. The only reason my boyfriend told me about it is because my mother is being quite difficult in regards to the planning- she is being a gram-zilla. I heard the theme is a NY Yankees theme...maybe I can spruce up my look a bit and throw on my ragged Yankees baseball cap LOL

Surprise events for pregnant women should be illegal...I mean as if we're not emotional enough?!? We don't need that added stress of feeling like we're not appropriately dressed or didn't do our hair/makeup or whatever. No to surprise events!!!!
I ended up ordering this dress from Pink Blush. Since my first shower is in 2 weeks in Ohio and the dress is short-sleeved, I'm wearing a white cardigan over it for warmth. I was going to wear navy tights and these cute cognac colored ankle boots I already have, but the dress is shorter than I expected and the heels make it too short. I'm debating wearing it with some ballet flats I already have or finding some shoes with a shorter heel.

Ha ha, seriously right?! I really do appreciate the fact that my mom is throwing me the shower- but I'm 35- not 5! I don't want to be surprised lol! I want to look nice, especially now when I feel like a house as it is! I also want to be able to have some say in certain things- but instead I have to keep my mouth shut and act all shocked when I walk in to the shower with my sweatpants LOL
I'll probably wear the kaftan my husband had brought from Morocco (he and his friends are Moroccan). It'll be loose, I can pretend I'm dressing up, and people will have a hard time seeing my actual size.
@ladysamlady Did that dress come in yet, and if so, is it as awesome as it looks online? I've been seriously considering ordering it, but I can't make my mind up on it because I ordered another dress right before that design came out. The one I ordered doesn't look terrible on me, but I feel like this one would look better. And potentially require less tailoring. (The sleeves! The neckline! The empire waist! The material! Swooooooooon.)
This is what I've bought. It's super stretchy thin scuba material and not maternity so bonus, I can wear it after pregnancy too. There's a sort of floral girly theme to the shower so it should work really well! Shower is next week and can't wait to wear it!
@amberraysofdawn it should arrive today! I'll try it on tonight and let you know. I'm definitely nervous and only have a week to find something new if it doesn't work.... wish me luck!!
My shower is March 26th and this is what I am currently contemplating buying to wear. It has been sitting in my cart since 8am and I can't bring myself to hit "Proceed to Checkout". It is only $39.98, but I still feel weird spending even that. What is wrong with me? Tell me it is gorgeous and I need to just bite the bullet and buy it!

@laurenmdrn16 the dress is
awesome and you should definitely get it!! You deserve to feel beautiful
at your shower and I think you definitely will in this dress. DO
ITTTTT!
Thank you @LadySamLady . I just checked my bank account and my federal tax refund just came through (wahoo!) so I am going for it. May even tack on a new cardigan...I'm really living large now!
My shower is tomorrow and I went with this dress from Pea in the Pod:
I'm really hoping I have the energy tomorrow to focus on keeping my legs crossed the whole time. Didn't think about that one until after I bought the dress!

Thanks for the suggestion. That's a beautiful dress. Definitely going to check that out!

ETA: I just saw where Zulily has this dress and some other cute maxis on sale today! Grr! I knew I should have waited! https://www.zulily.com/e/the-maxi-mama-173771.html
And the date is March 19.
@LadySamLady that dress is really lovely!
