I like Darcy spelled this way only. I suggest Ada, Adele, Blair, Brynn, Carla, Casey, Celia, Erica, Erin, Greta, Iris, Jada, Macie, Nadia, Nova, Renee, Tara, Tessa, Willa, and Zara.
I like Darcy and would use it, but it makes SO think of Jefferson Darcy from Married with Children. I really don't think many others would be thinking this..
I am relieved to see that you were asking about Darcy, and not Dacry as the subject line suggests.
Darcy is a great name!

"It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do." -Atticus Finch, To Kill A Mockingbird
I'm probably showing my age here, but I think of Marcy D'arcy from Married...With Children.
Also, the name is misspelled in the thread title. I thought you were asking about the name Dacry and wondered if it would be pronounced similar to daiquiri.

I thought this too and had my eye-roll ready for the youneek version of daiquiri!
It makes me think of Mr. Darcy from pride and prejudice first. However, I actually know a Darci Ray and the name fits her very very well. Shes kind of artsy and has a really unique but super cute fashion sense. Ive never met another before or since, so i like its uniqueness as well!
Re: Thoughts on the name Dacry?

Male D'arcy spells with an apostrophe and female just Darcy.
It's a name that I think works both ways but it'll always be P&P Mr. D'arcy to me.
Just not "Dacry".
