GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
My aunt was a professional cake maker in the 80's so she has made my entire families cakes. I pinned a few cakes I liked and gave her creative Liberty. We had 2 flavors. Banana and red velvet. Our cake toppers were a tribute to where we met and live. We had a picture from our engagement shoot of us dressed in traditional emirate wear. (Apologies if these are huge. On mobile and can't adjust size that I know of)
Timing: -2. Still holding out hope that my O day is off for slightly better timing of -4,-1.
Testing: Friday or Saturday
R/R/CS: I can't fall back asleep.
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?) So we got married at the courthouse. We still dressed up and DH got me flowers, but we weren't planning to have a cake or anything. We were just planning to go to lunch at this restaurant down the street from the courthouse then head off for a weekend getaway. When we got there my mom had surprised us by having a tiny cake and champagne there for us. The cake was from my favorite bakery, and it was white almond with raspberry filling. I'm so happy she decided to do that because now we have some frozen for our anniversary.
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
OK so- not married yet but when I do it will be along the lines of these.... I love the smooth three tiered styles with soft pink roses and love the rose cupcakes for kids!!!
R/R/CS: ok.. So my LP is 16 days. Is 12dpo too soon to test? I'm trying to keep myself from Google for the next few days... But it's so hard to wait to test
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
Ugh I don't have a picture of my lovely table. We did a cupcake table with 6 different flavors all fall related (except for the maple chocolate bacon... Yum!!) and we had a small spike cake with the best frosting ever! Then we had homemade candy apples surrounding it for guests and a skeleton bride and groom.. Because why not! I will try to get my old computer to work so I can download a picture of the table.. But for now this is all I have..
GTKY: We had red velvet and raspberry filling layers. I was 8 weeks pregnant and my DH was NOT sober. They brought the top tier of the cake to our bridal suite so we could save it for our anniversary... But we ate it that night. The whole thing!
Testing: None now, was going to today but had another temp dip and cramps.
R/R/CS: Got a BFN on 10 DPO was going to retest today but woke up to really bad cramping and a my temp is continuously going down. If AF is late according to FF will retest. Kind of bummed but at least now that I am temping I can tell what my body is doing!
GTKY: Ours was a vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling. Our wedding was very simple and elegant so our cake reflected that. Sorry if the picture is huge I am posting from mobile so cannot tell on my phone!
R/R/CS: We were supposed to get 0-3 inches of snow yesterday. We got about 4-6. DH has to spend the morning shoveling and digging the car out so I can get to acupuncture this morning
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?) We did cupcakes and a small cake for DH and I to cut and save. DH hates cake, so a big, pretty fancy cake wasn't on the agenda. Plus, with cupcakes, no one could charge me for cutting! I think they were red velvet with chocolate buttercream filling, chocolate with raspberry filling and vanilla with mocha buttercream filling. My SIL and I made the pinwheels ourselves. It was a major PITA.
Testing Plans: I had said today but I decided I really don't want to deal with a squinter so I'm going to wait another day or two. I've had one other 35 day cycle before and that is the longest I've ever had so if no AF today then I'll test.
R/R/CS: Nothing really! Hoping the roads and sidewalks get plowed and salted really well today since Philly is historically known for sucking at that.
GTKY: Here's our cake! Edited to give flavor: the bottom 3 were traditional white buttercream and the top was chocolate peanut butter.
R/R/CS: I'm already Googling VERY BAD things. At 2 DPO.
****RANT ***
So I went BSC last cycle and decided to go read the pinned thread " secrets on how to survive the waiting game" and there aren't any secrets! I was looking for some shit to DO when the Google happens and crazy creeps in.
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
My cake was very simple. Off white and white, 3 tiered, I had the baker keep it plain and my mom added flowers. We set it on a raised platform on the table to make it appear bigger and give it extra drama. I surprised my husband with a groom's cake modeled after his favorite Nascar driver's race car and he loved it.
Our wedding was very small. It was less than 100 people. I sunk the most dollars into a string trio for the reception (that was important to me) and the honeymoon of course.
We drove all the way to FL with our car that said "just married" on it and needless to say we got a ton of people honking at us!
Testing: I guess waiting to see if this spotting turns into a period. I'll test the 1st either way though since I've bled for the entire first trimesters of both my viable pregnancies.
R/R/CS: I'm spotting. Seriously sucks. I'm only 3 DPO and I'm not enough an optimist to think implantation bleeding. Ever since getting my cycle back after my second - my period has started with spotting multiple days of spotting so now I'm just waiting for the flow.
GTKY: I had to get on my desktop to find these! I loved my cakes. The wedding cake was chocolate chip with butter cream frosting and the Groom's cake was an Eagle Talon, the car DH had when we fell in love. It was chocolate. SO delicious and they were beautiful
R/R/CS: I was going to wait until Wednesday, but after some PMS-like symptoms the past few days, I tested this morning so I could drink wine at our nice dinner tonight. I temped for the first time since 5DPO, and while still above the coverline it was not super high, so I was bummed. I tested on a wondfo with FMU, and at first I thought there was nothing, but then as it formed I started to notice where a line might be. I had never had anything but completely stark white BFNs before so I was freaking out! It ended up being a faint line, so I tested with SMU on FRER and CB Digitial - both positives!!!! I absolutely am still in a state of shock and I am so excited! I am also really scared to let myself be excited, because I know what could happen. But for now I am thrilled! I couldn't wait so I just ran in and jumped on DH in bed and told him I'm pregnant! I couldn't stop crying I was so emotional. I am just so grateful for this!
I know that I have enjoyed hearing what worked for other people to get their BFP, so I will say that the main things we did differently this cycle was EPO and BD EOD. I also did a bunch of other unscientific stuff, so if you're interested in that info please PM me! I also really focused on relaxing and taking care of myself this cycle. While I don't necessarily think that helped me get KU, it did keep me sane and allow me to live my life and not be totally overwhelmed with TTC stress.
You ladies have been incredibly amazing and I have learned so much from you all! I hope to see some of you on my BMB!
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? I had three smaller cakes in three different flavors, plus a variety of desserts. Everything was delicious and beautiful!
R/R/CS: I'm becoming very zen about this weird-ass cycle. FF moved my CH to CD31, so that's something. Temps are sky high and still climbing, but whatever. Ordering OPKs and EPO and planning to take things much more seriously next cycle, whenever that begins.
If you're just tuning in, no need to CS. I'm good.
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?) Cake meant very little to me, so we just went to the best cupcake shop in town and picked 3 awesome flavors (champagne, cheesecake, and chocolate-chocolate). I honestly didn't even see our cupcakes at the reception - as much as I had been warned, I was not about eating at that event, and we didn't do a cake cutting, either. But our cupcake shop boxed up a few extras for us to take home, and instead of the freezer tradition, they gave us a gift certificate for a free cutter cake for our one year anniversary (that's the box and envelope you see in the one photo). My husband and I split a cupcake for breakfast a couple of days later, which was nice.
Testing: I broke down and tested this am after 2 days of a temp dip. BFN. Feeling very pessimistic.
R/R/CS: Just feeling blah.
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? Love these GTKYs! So fun! I wanted mine to be just simple, nothing crazy. We had raspberry and lemon fillings, if I remember right. DH picked out the topper, not necessarily my style, but I just loved that he cared about it that much. Sorry the pic is massive, not sure how to make it smaller.
R/R/CS: FF changed my O date back a day to the day I originally thought, so yay!
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
We did a smaller cake since our venue package included an amazing dessert already. We ended up bringing the cake to the breakfast we had at the hotel in the morning for the guests that stayed and it was gone so fast (except the top that we kept). It was marble cake with a salted caramel filling, so yummy.
@murray1030 I don't think 12DPO would be too early too test. I'm pretty sure the time it takes for implantation isn't affected by LP length, so you should be able to test at the same DPO as anyone else. (I could be wrong, but I'm pretty confident in this.)
Month/Cycle: 5/5
CD/DPO: 27/13
Timing: -4, -2, -1, 0
Testing: My wondfos were supposed to arrive 2 days ago, but they are now just out for delivery. I have a cup of FMU waiting for them when they arrive today.
R/R/CS: My temp went down today, but it is still above the coverline and usually it drops below the coverline 2 days before my period. My period is due tomorrow. So I'm staying hopeful. Also yesterday I had what I marked as spotting, but it was just some CM tinged reddish that was on my liner once when I went to the bathroom and it wasn't there when I wiped nor did it show up again and **TMI** when we had sex later in the day, my husband said he didn't get any blood on him and he usually does when I'm spotting after my period (I usually don't spot before). So idk if it really counts as spotting or not...
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
I don't get the point of fancy cakes. I've never once noticed what someone's cake looks like at a wedding. Also my husband doesn't like cake, so we did cupcakes and also a few other desserts (brownies, cookies, etc.) The cupcake flavors were vanilla, strawberry, and pumpkin cheesecake. And instead of a cake cutting, we just fed each other cupcakes.
R/R/CS: I'm going out for brunch with my friend this morning!
GTYK: DH and I are huge horror fans and decided that our cake would be the best way to incorporate that into the wedding without going overboard. In turn we had a Cthulhu cake! For flavors we had red velvet with cream cheese filling, peanut butter with baileys filling, and caramel with dulce de ledge filling. It was sooooo good.
Congrats @Blonde1817 !! All the best to you and your H!
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD/DPO: 21/6
Timing: -4, -2, -1, O
Testing: Of course I couldn't stop myself and tested this morning, and of course it's a BFN since it's way too early...
R/R/CS: Just waiting around. Very busy work week for both of us...both getting home late and exhausted... at least this month we had lighter schedules during FW so I'm still hopeful.
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
Everyone's cakes are beautiful! Here's ours: (each layer was a different flavor...I remember Spanish vanilla and mango mousse....not sure about the rest but it was GOOD... the in-house restaurant at our venue has a famous pastry chef and that guy went all out on that cake... it was amazing! and we had a lot left over because it was really huge for our relatively small wedding...my mom and two aunts each took home a huge chunk of it haha...we still have a few slices waiting for us in my mom's freezer)
R/R/CS: Going to a family event today where I'll have to see my pregnant SIL. She got KU by basically looking at her husband so I can't say I'm thrilled about going!
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?) We decided to save money on the cake and just had a family friend make the cupcakes for us.
R/R/CS: Temp rise today after a dip yesterday... I'll take a ticket for one on the crazy SS train, please.
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?) I love everyone's cakes! These are great! I posted a close-up of my "Always" cake yesterday, but this was the entire spread. The cake had two flavors, devil's food and passion fruit and vanilla, and there were five mini cupcake flavors from my favorite cupcake place here: chocolate raspberry (my favorite), lemon Bavarian, marble fudge, red velvet, and one other I can never remember. As always, sorry if the photo is huge, I'm on mobile and don't know how to fix it.
Testing: still thinking mid-week if I can wait that long!
R/R/CS: Kinda shocked that I didn't cave and test today! It probably helped that I sort of absentmindedly wasted FMU and that I am running low on HPTs. There's honestly a part of me that doesn't think this month is my month anyway - I can't describe why...maybe it's just a self-defense mechanism. I'm also "UPOD" believer (under promise, over deliver), so perhaps I'm using it on myself. If I don't think it's gonna happen, I'll be that much more surprised!
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
The cake wasn't super important to me - I wanted the cake cutting tradition, so we decided to have a cake where only one layer was actually real!! For our guests, we served individual mini three-tiered fudge wedding cakes that were covered in white cream so they totally looked like cute little wedding cakes. And damn were they tasty!
Pic of our cake is below - super streamlined, covered in white fondant with white peonies, with a chocolate cake and chocolate hazelnut filling. And yes, we did save the leftovers to eat a year later! It was certainly.... interesting....haha.
Testing: Will hold off until Tuesday at the earliest
R/R/CS: Nothing today
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? We actually didn't have a cake, but had cupcakes (vanilla). Unfortunately no pictures!
WORF: I did not come here to
admire the scenery.
DAX: If you say so. I guess we should just go
home.
WORF: Well maybe. I would not be so hasty.
DAX: I take it the scenery has improved?
WORF: A few months ago, when I was commanding
the Defiant on a scouting mission in the Gamma Quadrant, we encountered a
protostar cluster, a swirling mass of colour set against a background of
glowing clouds and burning sky. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever
seen, until now.
DAX: I've got to take you on vacation more
often.
R/R/CS: I feel like my mood swings get more intense with each passing cycle. DH and I got into an argument this morning because I randomly got really upset about our health insurance changing at the new year. There was no reason I needed to freak out over it, but I did. I'm turning into a beast!
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES!
We did a cake topper so DH and I would have something to cut at the reception and save for later, then had a cupcake tower for our guests. The topper was beautiful (can't really see it in this picture) but the cupcakes weren't decorated as we had asked them to be. No big deal, they were delicious and who really cares what the cupcakes look like. A mix of chocolate, coconut and red velvet with butter cream frosting.
Side note: our guests devoured our cake topper. We were left with nothing. The wait staff didn't even have a chance to take it away before it was gone. Vultures!!
Testing: I tested today because of a huge temp jump. Bfn. I thought I could maaaaybe see a ghost of a line if I stared really hard at just the right angle on the wondfo...so I also used a frer curved handle...also bfn. Let's be honest, I will probably keep testing daily until AF now.
R/R/CS: My temp shot so high today the my "higher than they've ever been" temps from the last few days don't even look too high. Trying so hard to not get over optimistic. But the crazy is so real with me. So real.
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? I posted a pic on color day, but I'll post again. It was so beautiful and delicious. The biggest layer was marble (I think that was what it was called. Anyway, chocolate and vanila) with chocolate ganache filling, the middle was red velvet with cream cheese filling, and the top was almond poppyseed with raspberry filling. I was grumpy cause the venue saved the top for us when we didn't ask them to (the bakery recreates the top for 1st anniversary), so our guests were shorted one of the most delicious layers!
And here's my chart (CD 10 is discarded just cause I don't like it. It was a hot and sweaty drunk temp. It changes nothing, so I leave it off because I don't like how it looks. I know it's super silly.)
Thank you @bornmommy My dress had Swarovski crystals on the bodice so we thought we would incorporate bling into the entire event including the cake! I found a few different pictures on Pinterest of cakes with various patterns on each tier so used that for inspiration. PS- I love your grooms cake!! I think that idea is so cute and I wish I could go back and have one at ours.
Testing: Tested Friday and today. Couldn't help myself. Both BFN's. Haven't decided when next, have to go buy more tests if I want to!
R/R/CS: Got nothing today
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? Top and bottom layers were Chocolate with Strawberry whipped cream filling and middle was Lemon with Raspberry jam filling. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. DH and I didn't even end up getting a piece, but we do have the top saved.
R/R/CS: This is my first month TTC/charting so I am learning! I was hoping you might be able to clear something up for me. I had a dip in temp at 5 dpo. From what I have read dips in temp are fairly normal with or without pregnancy. When I research dips in temp at this time there are some cases where women said they had an implantation dip that early, but there was something else about a corpus luteum dip? I can't find anything on what a corpus luteum dup means?! I only read it was most common 2-5 dpo and is commonly mistaken for an implantation dip? Has anyone else researched this? Any advice would be much appreciated
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
I liked my cake, but it was not my favorite. I actually didn't choose it. My MIL planned the whole reception because we lived and were married all the way across the country and then when we moved here a few weekks later they threw us a reception. DH and I always talk about renewing our 10 year anniversary since we didn't get the wedding or party we would have liked.
Testing: No plans, I have a feeling this spotting that started yesterday will turn into CD1 either today or tomorrow.
R/R/CS: Just waiting around for AF. DH got curious about how I knew when I ovulate. So that was an interesting conversation, he is really clueless. He is now much more informed and I don't have to feel like I am hiding something.
GTKY: Based on the past few days...LETS SEE THOSE CAKES! What flavored were they? (If you aren't married, what's your dream cake or what flavor a is your favorite?)
The flavors were a lemon raspberry and a chocolate, it was delicious. The toppers were an amazing creation from someone I found on Etsy and they are our dogs.

My best advice on a dip would be to try not think too much into it. It come mean implantation but it could also mean nothing. A little curiousity is normal but try not to read too much into your BBT movements at this point
@RN91 I get a dip around CD 4 or 5 EVERY month. (Didn't stop me from freaking out about it this month, because I'm an unstoppable ball of crazy.) I've heard it has something to do with a surge of estrogen. Don't quote me on that, though!
@babymishand @JamieMichelle12- Thanks so much! I have been trying to hold it together! I have been doing good not SS and I'm not jumping to POAS, but interpreting my temps.... Oh, that has me google crazy!!!!
I have it every month, too @RN91. The first month I was so excited, but I've now realized it's just part of my normal. My charts are in my siggy if you want to see them.

Testing: Today!

Testing: B to the F to the N forever.

We did a smaller cake since our venue package included an amazing dessert already. We ended up bringing the cake to the breakfast we had at the hotel in the morning for the guests that stayed and it was gone so fast (except the top that we kept). It was marble cake with a salted caramel filling, so yummy.

I love everyone's cakes!

WORF: I did not come here to admire the scenery.
DAX: If you say so. I guess we should just go home.
WORF: Well maybe. I would not be so hasty.
DAX: I take it the scenery has improved?
WORF: A few months ago, when I was commanding the Defiant on a scouting mission in the Gamma Quadrant, we encountered a protostar cluster, a swirling mass of colour set against a background of glowing clouds and burning sky. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, until now.
DAX: I've got to take you on vacation more often.
CD/DPO: 19/7
Timing: -3, -2, -1, 0
Testing: CD 23 if I can hold off!
Vultures!!
Month/Cycle: 6/5

Thank you @bornmommy
