I think my husband is finally going to take me seriously that I need more room in bed because I fell out of bed this morning. (I'm ok! I landed on my knees.) I think he felt bad because he let me sleep in, made coffee, and breakfast. We are probably going to switch sides tonight... lol.
FTM. Feeling pressure and "lightning crotch" like crazy lately. If I'm laying down, I can feel the baby's feet shoving into my side. I know that sometimes the pressure is related to that... He must love stretching out?? I'm a petite person so I'm worried that he's running out of room and will come too early. Only 29 weeks along... At my last dr appt on Friday I asked about pre-term labor and the only thing the doctor told me was that I'll know if I'm in labor... Not very helpful, no advice on when to call or go to ER. I have done my own research, and feel a little better prepared in case that happens.... My question is... Is feeling lots of pressure and stabbing pain in cervix normal at this point? Does anyone have experience with pre term labor that didn't know they were in labor?

No experience with preterm labor, but lightning crotch has no evidence supporting it being an indication of anything labor-related. My baby kicks my sides and punches my cervix quite often, as his favorite position is laying across my body and using my pelvis as a cradle. Sometimes I can't even walk. Midwife says not to worry about it (his position/amount of room) until like 36 weeks, so I don't. I don't think you have much to worry about just because of pressure and your cervix being a punching bag. Real contractions and fluids leaking would be a bigger cause for concern.

Pressure and stabbing feelings are all normal symptoms during third trimester but if you are concerned, please call your doctor. If the feelings are coming and going and timeable, they may be contractions, but everything you're describing is what I've experienced in all of my third trimesters.

So all today and part of yesterday I've experienced this sharp stabbing pain on my left side right around the area I've previously felt RLP pain. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but it doesn't feel like RLP to me, so any chance baby could be kicking or punching a nerve occasionally? Or should I be more concerned? It just about makes me cringe every time it happens.

Nerve issues are always a possibility with baby. Is the pain radiating anywhere else?

No, just that area. And there's no tightening, so I don't think it would be BH or ctx of any kind. Mostly just wanted a second opinion to calm my nerves! FTM issues, I worry about every little thing...
@skruhmin not coming in going, just constant! I felt so bad for my class of 1st graders today... I basically taught all day sitting down because the longer I stood the heavier he felt! No cramping just heaviness/pressure. He has been elbowing my belly button and shoving his feet in my side all damn day... Now that I'm home and trying to lay down and relax he's kicking and punching up a storm. Pressure definitely decreases when I'm laying down.
Ok so here's one... Going to call dr in AM... But.... My left rib cage hurts so bad (sharp, electric type pain all the way to my neck) only when I lay on my right side! I have been sleeping mostly on my left side, but I rotate to my right to relieve hip pain and just to get comfy for a bit then rotate back to my left.... It's so weird! I was thinking it could be a pulled muscle or that my rib cage is expanding but it's strange it's only on the one side and only hurts when I lay on the opposite side!
My discharge is seriously out of control, I'm on my 3rd pair of underwear and it's only 8am. The other day I actually leaked through a panty liner...wtf! I know it's not fluid or pee because it's thicker but my goodness this is getting gross! Gotta love the 3rd trimester!
I keep waiting for all this extra discharge, I had copious amounts in the first trimester but since then, nothing! I guess it goes with the whole ever pregnancy is different thing.

I haven't had a ton this pregnancy but DS1's pregnancy was awful. So yeah, everyone/every pregnancy is different.

I've definitely had an increase, but not that bad!! I've been avoiding pantyliners but probably just need to suck it up and get some. My issue is I'm easily prone to yeast infections and don't want to catch one right now

I was convinced I had an infection of some sort for a couple weeks before I got to talk to my doctor about it. She looked, said "could be something or nothing," and sent away a swab. 'Twas nothing, and I've been trying to adjust to this new (and very gross) normal. Lol Pantyliners, FTW.
Pretty sure my little guy just did a flip turn in there-head down to head up. Instant pelvic relief, but omg! Also, my belly button is going to crack open! My whole stomach is tight and uncomfortable. Starting to feel miserable... 6 more weeks??? Anyone else? Tips?
Is anyone's pelvic/hip pain so bad it makes them cry? I just broke down when my kid threw a fit over me asking her to let the dog out (which requires bending over to the gloor to hook a dachshund to a tie - out before letting him out) knowing I'm in pain and can'tbend over. I screamed at the pain. I popped some Tylenol and I'm hoping that helps a little...

@charley15- yes! I think we have different types of hip and pelvis pain from what I've read from your posts, but I definitely feel your pain.
I think I'm lucky though- my dogs are waist high so I can mess with them without having to bend over!
Oh man. I trained my lab to lay down before I would attach her leash! She'll be 3 in March and would get SO excited to go for walks that it took forever to get her leash on. It originally was to sit but she modified it lay down.... Boy am I kicking myself for that now!

I took some Tylenol last night and I feel much better now. I still have an ache but its not painful. I did mention it to the nurse and doctor yesterday but from what they figure its all normal. I didn't deal with this pain as a separate entity with my last child. Due to pre-term labor I dealt with the hip/pelvic pain while in labor- the nurses grabbed tennis balls from the PT department and used them to massage my hips because they were killing me. Now I'm dealing with it first before the labor. I am also a big baby and have a very low pain tolerance (DRUGS FOR LABOR!!!) but I was in enough pain last night I cried. Big time. I don't think the doctor expects me to last longer than 37-38 weeks (again because of the preterm labor), and at this point I feel all that is keeping baby in is the shots (which I have 2 left).
I tried teaching my dog to jump into a folding chair so I don't have to bend over. But then again we have a hard time keeping the little a-hole off the table because he jumps in chairs so that kinda turned into a no-no (although he was too scared to jump onto the folding chair any way lol).

I am still working- but had my work hours cut because the only thing that gets rid of my hip pain is totally unweighting it, so I can't handle being up (even sitting) for long. The pain is deep in my hip joint though, so I (and my OB) am a little bit mystified as to what the cause is. I have SI pain and SPD as well, but PT and tylenol keep that under wraps. I feel fortunate that I am only dealing with musculoskeletal pain and problems and that baby is good. @charley15 I hope your older child will be more helpful with the pup so you don't have to put yourself in that situation again! Do you have an ottoman or something that is sturdy but looks different than a chair? Maybe you can teach him that it is ok to get on that, but not chairs so you don't encourage bad behaviors that you'll have to break again later! DH was complaining that I haven't been outside to clean up dog poop in a few weeks. We have 2 monster dogs that poop a LOT- one of them had worms (yuck) so was going 3-5 times a day until we de-wormed her. A) Not walking around in the icy yard if I don't have to, not bending over to pick up enormous dog poops when it hurts to just pick something up off the floor.
Has anyone else been having the throbbing feeling in your head? It feels like I am hanging upside down and all the blood has rushed to my head and I can hear my heart beat in my ears. I did speak to my doctor about it and he thinks the baby might be laying on an artery that's near my back and causing this sensation. He did encourage me to stop laying on my back, but it happens sometimes when I am just sitting as well.
Any advice on how to remedy this? I've tried getting up and walking around and jiggling my belly a little (maybe get her to move?)
@ehowa499 Men sometimes really have no clue what we have to go through and I am sorry that you are in this much pain! We are counting down to the single digit weeks o hang in there!
DH can also complain about me not doing certain chores in the house and he thinks I'm just being lazy. But gosh! Don't they see this big tummy that is blocking everything? DH was complaining the other day that I don't put DD to sleep these days and I had to demonstrate to him (because he wouldn't believe me when I told it) that I cannot physically bend over the crib bars to set her down without dropping / throwing her. She falls asleep in our arms on most nights so I don't want to wake her and redo this whole process again!

I don't have an ottoman but DD and DH have gotten better about not complaining when I say he needs to go out. As for the poop, I DID have a one handed pooper scooper, but it froze over and broke, so I've been unable to pick up poop for a few days

Is third trimester anxiety a thing? I've been so calm and level-headed throughout my pregnancy but I e been stressed and have found it harder to cope since Christmas. This is my second baby. I had lots of anxiety the first time around and had to take meds after she was born. Just hoping this is normal, will improve, and not the same As before.
I did not have many problems growing up with it other than the occasional locking up of my hip and or leg or my leg just completely giving out- these usually happened if I transitioned from sitting to standing too quickly.
I cannot figure out if what I am feeling is effects from my hip dysplasia or just sciatica...
My pain is in my lower back/hip region. It is made worse by walking around, bending over, standing/walking after sitting for too long and I still feel the pain when I am sitting. I do occasionally have pain radiate down into my leg, but it's mostly when I am bearing weight on it when I first stand.
It's the location and the radiating pain that makes me question it being my hip and wondering if it's just sciatica.
Either way, it's extremely painful and it's becoming hard to walk. I have tried ice/heat alternating and that only works for about 20 minutes after, I've also tried stretching, hot baths and Tylenol... Most of these are temporary fixes that wear off quickly. I did order a support belt, but that won't be here for two weeks
I am in so much pain that I am desperate for any advice on what you think it could be or what you think may help.
I would say it's normal, although I am a FTM. I have other pregnant friends who are going through the same thing, and I have found myself feeling the time crunch pressure, anxiety of caring for a little person as well as concerns about birth. One of my friends in particular is facing both anxiety and depression and it's been rough on her especially as she nears the end. Just make sure that you are taking care of yourself as well as the baby and don't be afraid to ask for help! Also if you are predisposed to anxiety it would not surprise me that you are facing it again or with similar results as your last pregnancy. It's tough, but it will be worth it.
34 and 4 weeks here. Last night woke up around 10:30 feeling major indigestion and all around queasiness. I thought it was bc of big dinner and also a little constipation. Took a bath then at 11, ran back into the bathroom threw up 6 times. I actually felt better immediately after. Fell asleep and was up again by 1. Diarrhea. Couldn't fall back asleep. Relocated to another room as to not disturb my husband. 2 pm Drank some water then threw up all the water. Finally managed my way back upstairs to bed slept for another 2 hours woke up at 4 and threw up what little was left. Up again at 6 with more diarrhea.
Sorry this is Tmi but I am feeling sick as a dog. The real kicker is we are in DC area, snowed in and have a two and a Half year old.
Docs office opens at 10 bc of the snow. I plan to call then but in the meantime... Any suggestions? Have husband go door to door asking if anyone has Gatorade or ginger ale? We literally can't get out of our parking Spot for him to run to the store.
Worried this could be signs of preclampsia. I had my daughter at 35 and 5 due to hypertension and low amniotic fluid. Nervous about dehydration but not keeping anything down.

I'm super disappointed to see that the rib pain has returned in pregnancy #2... returned with a vengeance.
Has anyone else got this lovely stuff going on?
I hope yours feels better soon!
