WORF: Well maybe. I would not be so hasty.
DAX: I take it the scenery has improved?
WORF: A few months ago, when I was commanding the Defiant on a scouting mission in the Gamma Quadrant, we encountered a protostar cluster, a swirling mass of colour set against a background of glowing clouds and burning sky. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, until now.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 17

    WAYDTGKU: Nothing for now

R/R/CS: So FF has put me at cross hairs a day earlier than I would have thought (CD 14) and they are solid, not dotted. All the other signs are pointing to the next day (CD 15), and I had a significant temp rise on CD 16 which makes me think that today is 2 DPO, 3 DPO. What do you guys think looking at it? Have any of you over-ridden intellectually what FF is telling you what your O date is?

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? Would love to live somewhere beautiful like New Zealand or Australia.

R/R/CS: Kinda confused right now. I had a definite positive OPK yesterday afternoon. I've never turned one this early. I also had a big temp spike this morning too. I am coming down with a cold, but I don't usually get big temp spikes like that when I'm sick. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the next few days bring!

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? Italy. So much history, good food and wine.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?
Czech Republic. I studied abroad there in college and would go back in a heartbeat!
  • @waitingforbabies- I think CD 14 or 15 both look like potential 0 days. I'm not sure how FF picks between the two. The good news is your timing looks great either way!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1*

    CD: 9

WAYDTGKU: All the things. Working on EOD now and will try to up it to ED closer to my normal 0 date of CD 18-21.

R/R/CS: I didn't get three solid hours of sleep before temping this morning arg. DH set off the fire alarm at 3:30 a.m. He is nocturnal so it is totally normal for him to be up that late, but last night he was apparently cooking rice for the dog to soothe her upset tummy. He forgot about the rice and burned the shit out of it. Awesome.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? Probably somewhere in the south pacific. Fiji, Samoa, something like that. I love the ocean. As much as I would love to live in Europe and get some culture, I'd rather live an island lifestyle. :)

    CD: 23

    WAYDTGKU: sex, temp, cm

R/R/CS: mine is similar to @waitingforbabies

as always I'm confused. Today's temp put my ovulation date 5 days ago. BUT once again as always, my temps weren't higher than the previous 6 until yesterday. (The discarded temp was a legitimate discard. Couldn't trust it. Temped 4.5 hours late and had gotten up not realizing I didn't temp at 3 am.)
    If I discard cd18, I lose crosshairs.

Does anyone agree with FF or would you guess yesterday as long as confirmed with higher temps in the coming days?

Second question: previous months I have had to manually override. What is the difference between advanced settings and fam? I'm not exactly clear on those differences.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?
I already live abroad! Love it!
If I moved again; Austria or Denmark. Loved visiting there and the people seemed so happy. Everything closed at like 5 or 6 (with the exception of some restaurants or super busy strips) which meant most people truly worked a 9-5.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? DH and I were actually just talking about this! I used to live in London and desperately want to live there again. So that would be option 1. The "without concern for money" is key because we were trying to figure out how we would get our two dogs over there without putting them in the cargo hold and determined that we'd need a boat or private jet (dreaming here, people!). Option 2 is definitely Australia.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?
I'd live somewhere in a city. I want to walk to all the places! I've always thought Rome, Dublin, or London.
  • *Lurking from TWW*

@waitingforbabies ... I did have to manually override FF this cycle.  It likes to say my O date is the day of my +OPK, but historically I don't O until a couple of days after my +OPK.  Before overriding I would compare to previous charts and see what seems to make the most sense for your body!  For instance, I always have a temp spike within one day on O day, not a slow rise, which is what FF was saying happened this cycle.

  • @waitingforbabies I tend to agree with you that you're 2 DPO. Does FF move your CH if you put in a few more temps like today?
@NurseMarie9 I can't say I see any ovulation in your chart yet, so I guess I agree with FF.
@sarah0985 CH could be right with a slow rise, but I suspect if you have a few more high temps it would move them to CD 21 or 22.

WAYDTGKU: Need to get going on the sex! MH has been very busy but we need to buckle down. Also, pnvs, temping, CM

R/R/CS: I have a cold, damnit! Like @PeggyOlsonFTW I had a huge temp spike today as well but I am sure that it's illness related. I've never used OPKs and I'm tempted to run out and buy some now that it looks like I will be sick entering the FW. Aargh! I could O anytime next week, basically, so I'm hoping that I kick this cold quickly before a real temp shift happens.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?
I do live abroad, too (@linnea625)! I live in England now, having spent three years in Scotland and a year in NZ (study abroad). I'd love to go back to NZ or Scotland, particularly if we can have instant travel portals to go with our lack of money concern. If I were to go somewhere new, Italy for the food and people, or Amsterdam because it's a great city, or South America because there's so much I want to see down there that I haven't yet. Umm, turns out I'm indecisive.

R/R/CS: Actually happy that AF is here and I can start a new cycle. I met with the RE yesterday and I apparently have a cyst on my right ovary so she does not want to do IUI this cycle. Hopefully it will go away on it's own.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?  I would probably choose the Caribbean or some island in the South Pacific. Island life sounds so slow paced and relaxing.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?  Jumping on the Aussie train here.  I spent 3.5 months in Australia a few years ago and I just absolutely love it there.  The culture is so laid back, people value life/travel like nothing I've ever seen, and I can't get enough of the accent and the silly phrases - like "good on ya, mate", "how you going" and "sweet as".  I lived in Brisbane when I was there and the weather was amazing.  I also traveled around quite a bit and fell in love with something different in every city.  Also, I know Tim Tams are now available in the US, but I haven't seen the best flavors here yet and it just isn't the same!

    WAYDTGKU: All the things...

R/R/CS: Today is not starting out very well. We are in the middle of a nice snowstorm, and the superintendent decided that having school today was a good idea. There were so many accidents! My students are slowly trickling in right now because the buses are late and some of them drive, so they almost got into accidents. When do we stop caring about the number of hours our kids are in school and start worrying about their safety? Ugh.

Also found out this morning that my aunt had another stroke (this would be her 3rd one), and things are not looking good. I have to get lesson plans together for the rest of the week so that there are plans ready for my sub. My cousins (her daughters) drove up to see her and my grandparents are coming into town from Arizona. It's not looking good.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? Oh! There are so many! I love visiting Mexico, but I don't know if I would want to live there. I have always wanted to visit England. I just think the history of the area would be enough to keep me busy. I also would love to live in Sicily, where my family is from. Their quality of life is outstanding and to work to live, instead of living to work, would be ideal. I would just love to live in a country where I could slow down and enjoy the little things every once in a while.
  • Thanks @Paturkey (I hope you feel better soon!) I generally tend to have a huge spike (anywhere above 97.5ish) and then stays above it.  Usually don't really have a slow rise which is why I'm inclined to not believe it.  Previous cycles it also always seems a bit off too.
This is my 3rd cycle temping and on previous charts, if I manually override with the general consensus of the bump opinions, my lp is 11-12 days.  But if I allow FF crosshairs its 14 and 21 days respectably.  So I'm a little leary on trusting FF crosshairs and put more stock in the wonderful ladies here :)
I wonder if the super high temps are throwing it off at the beginning as well.

@nursemarie9 I also agree that I don't see an ovulation pattern.  You may want to continue to use OPK's as you may have a second surge.

  • @sldp123 - I agree with Canada seeming to have their shit together! The overly practical side of me says pick a place with great healthcare and a great economy!
@teamginger13 - Sorry to hear about the cyst, but hopefully it'll resolve on it's own. I've had 2 in the past 4 cycles, both went away without any problems. GL! P.S. I wouldn't bench yourself this cycle due to the cyst, even though you aren't doing the IUI, I'd still try. But that's just me.
@Paturkey - Boo to colds! Drink lots of fluid and nip it in the bud!
@Khbear117 - I'll be one of those still drinking coffee too. I've really cut down over the past year, but can't give up my one cup in the morning! Good job cutting down and switching to tea!

    Month/Cycle: 13/9

    CD: 14

    WAYDTGKU: Clomid, Dexa, Trigger, IUI

R/R/CS: Had my u/s yesterday and not sure how I feel about it. Cautiously optimistic I suppose. I had one big follie at 24 and then a couple smaller ones. The doc wanted me to go ahead and trigger at midnight (ugh, so tired now), but I'm worried with the size. I know it's a good size, but it could be a cyst too, apparently there's no knowing. So, I'm over here all worried that I triggered a cyst and that the 2 other follies measuring at 12 should have been the ones I triggered in a few days. :/ Anyway, I go in for the IUI tomorrow morning, so FX it's a follie! To add to my rant, I didn't get to see my normal doc yesterday, and the one I saw hadn't heard about Zika virus yet, so hopefully at my IUI she'll be able to give me an answer as to if we should postpone our trip or not.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? Ooh I like this one! But it's really hard for me to choose. I'd love island life, but I think I'd get cabin fever and miss the city. I'm going to have to jump on the NZ/Australia train as well. I always see them on House Hunters there and I think it'd be a perfect fit for me and DH!

  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: Temping and CM right now.

R/R/CS: Pissed that my BBT seems to have issues. It won't give me the 3 beep read. I have to turn it on and off and try multiple times - which I'm sure doesn't give me a great reading because I get annoyed. Finding the box today to see if it might need a new battery - anyone else have to replace a battery the week after buying their BBT?

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?

All of them! I'd love to take DH and DS to Tokyo after living there earlier in life. Spain, any of the Scandinavian countries, Brazil, UK. I like countries with strong heritage and history.

@BerkeBaby So sorry to hear about your Aunt. My Pop Pop had a stroke this weekend too. It's so scary. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

    Month/Cycle: 5/5 (1 NTNP, 3 TTCAL)

    CD: 3

WAYDTGKU: Waiting for AF to GTFO. I start temping on CD 4 so it's been nice to sleep through the night.

R/R/CS: I'm feeling really blue this morning. I think because we had a long weekend and we moved into a new place so the past 3 days have been fun just being with DH with no work and nowhere to be. We've just been ordering take out and putting together furniture and it's actually been fun. Now I'm back at work and it's cold and I'm back to my healthy eating plan and blah. I'm also really sad about TTA this cycle because of the crazy virus in the caribbean. I agonized about whether to bench myself before our cruise in February. In the end we decided to just go for it and I was so excited, now it seems we really do need to chill and it just feels like such wasted time. If my cycle stays on track, AF will be due on Valentines day and I have to admit that I was fantasizing about surprising DH with a BFP on our V-day date. :(

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?
I lived in Florence in college and right after so I would definitely do that again. A little town in England sounds lovely too. Somewhere small, historic and picturesque.

ETA: I just realized that since we're TTA this cycle that I'll soon be putting 6/6+ for Month/Cycle. I guess I thought I'd be a speshul snowflake that would never be 6+ months into this process. I know I'm just being impatient and that so many other ladies here have been trying for so much longer but it still stings.
Sorry for being a Debbie Downer this morning.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? Honestly, I'd probably live in the US still, however if $ wasn't a concern, we'd do a lot of traveling.

R/R/CS: The dentist I work for has two offices, one in the city I live in and one about 25 minutes away, but we're only in the only where I live on Wednesdays. Today, however I am in our Tuesday office, obviously working very hard with one of my other coworkers. It's fantastic.
Oh and I just remembered my rant: Glenn Frey (guitarist/song writer for the Eagles) died yesterday. First Bowie, then Snape, now Frey. I'm happy I was able to see him play with the Eagles when they were touring last year! But really, 2016, stop with the deaths.

GTKY: Probably somewhere in Germany. DH is fluent and lived there for over a year. He always talks about how much he loved living there. Also, my parents and brother lived there before I was born, so I'm really jealous that I haven't even been able to travel there!

    CD: 16

    WAYDTGKU: everything

R/R/CS: this is my first month temping (I know I know plz don't flame me lol). I'm having a really hard time. I moved right around ovulation and we didn't have heat in the house so I think some of my temps aren't accurate. I just want to make sure I truly ovulated.

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?
I think it would be either Greece or Italy. Does Hawaii count as abroad? Lol

  • @MRSCORKER - So sorry to hear you have a family member that had a stroke too. :frowning: I'll be keeping you in my thoughts as well. DH and I had to scramble for travel insurance this weekend after hearing about the virus in the Caribbean. We're going back to Puerto Vallarta in May. We have to keep an eye on the situation. PV is on the other side of Mexico, so we're just hoping it doesn't spread. If I get KTFU by then, we might have to cancel the entire trip. I hope that you have a great time on your trip, though.

WAYDTGKU: well... I was supposed to be charting but I've been terrible.  I'm taking PNV and trying to HIO this week ... that's about it.  Still NTNP this month so no big deal.

R/R/CS:  I wanted to start charting again but between me forgetting and children being sick and being up at night it hasn't gone so well.  I've decided to forget about it this cycle - I bought some OPKs and will probably use them just to gauge my cycle.  I'm not very good at the NTNP thing.  DH is away for business the end of the week so I need to plan for that ;)

GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? Ireland... but I'd probably want to keep my place in Canada too.... obviously no concerns with money!

Can I choose sailing instead? My grandparents used to sail the intercoastal waterway in the summers and I've always wanted to follow in their footsteps.
