Why is the post today called wtodd?? What does that even mean?
Month/Cycle: 5 (1 after cp)
CD: 16
WAYDTGKU: most importantly HIO every day until we get a temp shift. Also some other unscientific shizz.
R/R/CS: Do I have to go back to work today? Blargh.
GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? I would probably still live mainly in the US. But also have flats in England, France, and maybe somewhere else.
I hate to post and run, but I'm hella late this morning. I'll try to come back and read through/comment later!
R/R/CS: Frustrated because I'm impatient and don't know what I'm doing with OPKs and temping. I had an almost positive OPK on CD 13, but the line has basically been non existent since then. Had a massive temp drop yesterday and thought it must be for sure O, but I woke up to another low temp this morning. Can't wait to have a confirmed O. HIO is getting exhausting.
***Questions: Do OPKs get darker then lighter then darker again? Or do they just gradually grow into a positive and then fade away? I'm wondering if I should just stop peeing on things, since the OPKs seem to be getting lighter after my almost positive on CD 13. Any chance they will come back strong?
How many days can the temp drop on/before O last? I've had major temp drop for the past two days, and I'm hoping it means O is soon/happening?
GTKY: Maybe Greece. I've never been, but DH studied abroad there and it sounds lovely!
@NurseMarie9 it looks like CD 13 is a possibility but it's definitely not obvious. OPKs can be really random so I wouldn't put too much faith in that.
@joyful08 it looks like either the very high or very low temp could be a fluke. Did you take CD15's very late or 16 very early?
@MissAmeliaPond I took it as a play on words. WTO Tuesday/ odd Tuesday.
Month/Cycle: TTCAL 2
CD: 17
WAYDTGKU: actually trying, raspberry leaf tea, starting to realize I need to get serious about losing some weight
R/R/CS: I'm getting impatient. I don't normally take this long to O. I didn't O last cycle and I'm starting to suspect I won't this month either. I guess all that EWCM was just for fun.
GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live?
Do I have to pick one? If money were truly no concern, I'd move to a totally different place about every 6-12 months. But if I had to pick one, maybe Australia or South Africa. Politics-wise, Finland and Canada seem pretty awesome, but I really do not want to move to a place that's even colder than MN.

WAYDTGKU: At the moment just waiting for AF to leave. In general PNV, OPKs, temping, diet/exercise, CM, may try and just HIO this cycle.
R/R/CS: Doing all right so far. A little anxious that this cycle will be wonky like the last one and that my uber predictable 29-30 day cycles are no more. Also feeling a tad frustrated that I've been having such trouble pinpointing O - I wasn't able to get a clear temp shift with my old thermometer, CM was working pretty well for me but with unpredictable cycles it's tougher to rely on that, OPKs failed me last time and I no longer trust the clear blue digis, etc. etc. etc. Some of these things I can rectify (I have high hopes for my new BBT for one), but I'm just a bit mad at myself and my body that I'm 6 months in and don't have a stack of pretty shifting charts and a clear idea of how long my LP is. It's extra frustrating because DH is starting to travel for work much more often and I want to give him a heads-up for my FW so that he can plan around it if possible. Oh well. Whine over - FX for the new BBT and for predictable cycles to return.
GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? Oh man. This is a toughie--DH and I have talked about trying to live abroad in Europe for 2-3 years when our to-be-conceived future children are old enough to appreciate it. I lived abroad quite a bit growing up and it was a really formative experience for me, and I would like to pass that on. I think I'd probably pick London or Brussels if I had to pick anywhere, but there are so many beautiful places all over the world that it's hard to pick just one!
@waitingforbabies - I'd lean towards CD15 as well but either way your timing is good.
@khbear117 - I'm going to find it difficult to totally give up caffeine as well. Reputable sources seem to say that a cup of coffee a day is fine, so I don't plan on giving that up unless things change drastically.
@kirby1220 - That's so frustrating. I definitely have forgotten to temp before too and found it really difficult to get in the habit (it is really difficult to get me to do anything first thing in the morning frankly.) I've finally resorted to setting the alarm on my phone and putting my BBT on top of my phone so that I have to touch it to turn the alarm of.
@itsmehere1212 - I had a cycle like that too so I know how frustrating it is. Heartburn, gas, sore boobs, the works. It sucks. FX that this cycle works out better.
@paturkey - There is a terrible cold going around. It sucks. Feel better soon!
@difazette911 - So sorry you're having trouble with your BBT. I know the batteries run out quick but I don't know about that quick.
@MRSCORKER - Hugs and sorry you're feeling down. I totally get the feeling that comes with joining the 6 months+ club. Hopefully this cycle goes by quickly and you're back to actively TTC soon!
@missameliapond - Going back to work after a long weekend stinks!
@strickland8052 - When I was using strip OPKs mine never got darker than the control and went away pretty quickly. But I think it can be different for everyone. Sorry the HIO is getting frustrating. :-(
@FiancB - I feel you on the weight thing. I'm starting in earnest this week and I'm cranky about it, but I know it will be best for me and for future baby in the long run.

I was able to go for about a week once when I was visiting my aunt that lived in England at the time and it was awesome. @teamginger13, sorry to hear about your cyst! Hopefully it goes away on it's own and with no pain! @BerkeBaby, sorry your superintendent made you all go in today, hopefully everyone gets there and back safely. TTGP February Sig Challenge- Valentine's Day Fail:
@simcal18 thanks for taking a look. I had returned home cd 6 and jet lag screwed up my temps. Even when discarding all of the high temps, my crosshairs don't change. I just never fully trust FF nor feel like it's right for me. I love the charging feature, just feel like the crosshairs are never correct. I'll have to wait and see again I think. I just get frustrated. Plus with the crosshairs it gave me, we had awful timing. But with what I'm more inclined to believe is my day, I have great timing!

@FiancB cd 15 Was taken at 6:05am and cd 16 was taken at 7:05am. Cd17&18 were taken at weird times with random sleep. Eta: although cd 15&16 we didn't have any heat in the house and we moved into a new house
I've been temping for a week and all my temps are extremely close to each other. Is this normal? I temped for two months back in September and October and my temps varied a lot day to day.
@fitlady21 It looks like you don't have a basal body thermometer as I can see it only goes to the tenth of a degree instead of hundredth, I don't know if your thermometer is sensitive enough. I know I started out with a regular old thermometer and it was always fixating on two temperatures. I would suggest investing $10-$15 on the real thing! It'll put your mind at ease. As long as you take your temp every single day at the exact same time without getting out of bed and after 3 consecutive hours of sleep you'll be able to see a pattern.

R/R/CS: Had a lovely, long weekend with DH. I think the lack of job stress on his part helped with all the BD'ing we were doing. Good times.
GTKY: Can I just say all the countries? Seriously, though. DH and I lived in India the first year we were married. I would go back there in a heartbeat. @BerkeBaby So sorry to hear about your Aunt. At least you know your students will be fine and you can focus on being with family.
@MRSCORKER I'm sorry you're feeling down a bit. I think it's natural after all the excitement of moving, there can be like kind of a hangover. :/
@DiFazette911 I just have a little cheapo from CVS and it's never given me any problems (knock on wood) but I have been thinking about getting a backlit one. I hate to mess with a good thing though. I think it cos me $6. Highly recommend.
WAYDTGKU: Also, "Waiting for AF to GTFO." Drinking some nice teas, taking PNV's, DHA, Calcium, giving the man Maca and Fenugreek. This will be our first month using OPKs so that will be fun! lol Will probably try a control wondfo OPK around CD5 as long as AF is goneish.
R/R/CS: I feel like there's so much more to think about TTC after AF leaves (getting in all that BDing, projecting O date and FW, optimizing timing etc.), and even TWW you try to stay busy but once the BSC kicks in it is almost unavoidable. I kind of want to take AF time to do lots of deep breathing and letting go of all the TTC thoughts as much as possible. I did some bodyweight exercises this morning for a 7-day booty challenge I joined to try to get my butt back in gear, cos the holidays + TTC "But I *might* be pregnant" bs thinking led me to throw all my routines and healthy eating habits out the window... and now I'm feeling it! :P
GTKY: Italy has got to be up there, but I would also say maybe Switzerland. But Switzerland is so freaking awesome you pretty much have to be born Swiss. lol I never really thought much about Australia, but you ladies are making me think I have to go there now! :D

I have varying degrees of lightness/darkness on OPKs throughout the month but they do go very dark when I O, daker than the control line. Having said that I know some ladies here never see that.
If you are struggling with OPKs maybe checking CM could work better for you?
I know it is frustraing waiting for O that doesnt seem to be happening, easier said than done but try have some faith that it will. There are ladies who waited longer but I had a CD20 O day in cycle 2 and I was pulling my hair out too.
@strickland8052 I'm in the same boat, it's my first time temping and using OPKs. I used clearblue digital and had a peak smiley so I thought I o'd CD13 with temp drop then temp spike CD14. But now my temps won't stay up and I'm CD16, so confusing. FX for a confirmed O for both of us!
@BerkeBaby Sorry to hear about your aunt. I'm also from Omaha and the roads are terrible! I dislike this weather very much.
@BusinessWife I hear ya about needing to get back in shape. I should be motivated because I have to be in a swimming suit later this week (not that anything I do now would make that much of a difference), but DH and I just love cuddling so much during these cold winter months, that I just can't convince myself to workout. The superintendent of OPS is not making any friends right now. They just officially announced that all after-school activities are to continue. WTH? It took me at least 45 minutes to get to work this morning, and usually it only takes about 15-20 minutes. It's irritating.

@BerkeBaby Oh no I hope they somehow decide to cancel! Dodge was backed up for hours, it took me 30 min to drive 4 miles so I turned around and called in Luckily my boss was nice about it. I grew up in Lincoln. I moved to Omaha for nursing school and stayed here after I graduated. What about you?
@NurseMarie9 : They finally canceled. I'm relieved. Our principal is really good about yelling at us to get out of the building on days like this. I go from school this afternoon to see my aunt in the hospital, so it's kind of a good thing. I took Highway 75 this morning; it was backed up to Offutt. What. A. Mess. My poor DH drove me to work this morning and then got stuck at 72nd and Dodge for 45 minutes (ETA: But it wasn't because of our car. We have AWD, best investment we made as a couple). He was not happy. I think it was a good call for you to call in today. I wish I could have. I'm surprised that more of my students didn't just stay home today. I was born and raised in Omaha and went to college in Hastings, then came right back to Omaha to get my masters. Hate the winters here, but love "Nebraska Nice."

@lin&say - Hooray for sleep!
@fitlady21 - Hooray for morning sex. :-)
@PeggyOlsonFTW - Sounds like O to me. FX!
@houseofsetters - Definitely get the good feeling of starting fresh!
@cjt121413 - Bummer about the middle of the night fire alarm - that's frustrating.
@nursemarie9 - that doesn't look ovulatory to me yet but FX.
@sarah0985 - is there a reason for the high temps CD 7-12? That might be messing FF up.
@marley629 - FX for a winter storm baby.
@khbear117 - I'm going to find it difficult to totally give up caffeine as well. Reputable sources seem to say that a cup of coffee a day is fine, so I don't plan on giving that up unless things change drastically.
@prettypalomino - FX for +OPK!
@babymish - FX for crosshairs!
@linnea625 - FX for crosshairs!
@beary67 - Hooray for staying positive!
@itsmehere1212 - I had a cycle like that too so I know how frustrating it is. Heartburn, gas, sore boobs, the works. It sucks. FX that this cycle works out better.
@paturkey - There is a terrible cold going around. It sucks. Feel better soon!
@teamginger13 - FX the cyst goes away!
@sparty18 - Hooray for positivity!
@sldp123 - FX for O and good timing.
@BerkeBaby - So sorry to hear about your aunt.
@jmr1515 - Hooray for days off!
@cwirth89 - FX it was a follie!!!
@atcwag - FX your DH is more cooperative.
@loveisowlyouneed - Stay warm!
@Ally989 - Congrats on the job offer!
@schwee25 - Yay for +OPK and have fun HIO!
@greatgiginthewomb - Yay for easier work days.
@joyful08 - No flaming whatsoever. :-) I get the frustration with temps but FF looks good so far--just keep temping and see what happens.
@2dash - FX you can work around the business trip.
@tamalahoops - FX for staying positive!

@fitlady21 morning sex is the best start to the day possible!
@cjt121413, that sounds like something I would do, I can ruin the simplest cooking. Actually, I burnt up an entire pot once by forgetting I had our vegetarian hot dogs boiling.
@Marley629 yay for abnormally light AF!
@babymish, good call on the super yacht!
@Paturkey I'm jealous you lived in Scotland!
And I'm incredibly sorry to hear about your aunt's stroke!
@Mrscorker sorry you're having a rough day! Try to treat yo' self to something awesome to make it better!
Me: 25 - DH: 30
I just never fully trust FF nor feel like it's right for me. I love the charging feature, just feel like the crosshairs are never correct. I'll have to wait and see again I think. I just get frustrated.
Plus with the crosshairs it gave me, we had awful timing. But with what I'm more inclined to believe is my day, I have great timing!
Eta: although cd 15&16 we didn't have any heat in the house and we moved into a new house
I've been temping for a week and all my temps are extremely close to each other. Is this normal? I temped for two months back in September and October and my temps varied a lot day to day.
TTC #2 since Mar 2017
DX: MF June 2019, varicocele embolization Jan 2020, good improvement (14 mil, low motility)
IUI#1 Aug 2020 - BFN
IVF #1 Dec 2020 (ICSI) - ER, freeze-all - 15 retrieved, 15 mature, 15 fertilized. 4 embryos frozen, all day 5 blasts!
FET #1 Feb 2021 - BFN
FET #2 Apr 2021 - BFP 5DP5DT!! Beta #1 13DP5DT (17DPO) = HcG 1,238. Beta #2 17DP5DT (21DPO) = HcG 8,269
CD: 17
WAYDTGKU: Mostly just PNV's + calcium. Pretty sure I O'd two days ago, just waiting on one more elevated temp before I move it over to the TWW. Hubby and I did BD yesterday, though. Unexpected!
We lived like royalty and still managed to save enough to buy a car when we got back to the U.S. For more expensive options, though, I would love to live in Germany or Scandinavia.

Month/Cycle: 18 temping / 6 NTNP / 3 TTC

FX it happens soon for you.

@BerkeBaby Sorry to hear about your aunt. I'm also from Omaha and the roads are terrible! I dislike this weather very much.
@emilyIRL Fellow n00b! India sounds amazing!!! Did work bring you there or was it pure Wanderlust? FX that you can confirm O.
@simcal18 I'm so sorry to hear that your indicators have been on the fritz. That is super frustrating. FX that it settles down and everything starts behaving properly.

R/R/CS: What I wouldn't give for a night of uninterrupted sleep.
GTKY: I'm also going to join the Australia train...like @Sparty18 said, Australians are the best. Such a great sense of humor and most everyone I met over there when we went to visit DH family was super laid back. An added bonus is that half of DH's family already lives there so there would still be bookoos of family for our kids to grow up with.

WAYDTGKU: Charting, temping, checking cervix/CM, PNVs. Starting OPKs and SMEP around CD13.
R/R/CS: Unrelated to TTC my rant for today is that I got bad food poisoning the other day and I just haven't felt right since. I've been having GI cramping, nausea and the whole 9 yards pretty much every day since the original food poisoning. Or, at least I think it was food poisoning. Maybe I just caught a stomach virus or something? Not too sure but I feel like absolute garbage.
GTKY: If you could move to live abroad (without concern for money), in which country would you choose to live? I'm not actually sure. I've never been outside the US. I also don't speak any other languages so I guess somewhere people speak English.
