Cried from reading some of the bitchyness on here. "Google it, don't ask questions." Okay if we're just supposed to google everything then this site is completely pointless.

It is very risky when talking health or safety risks to seek advice about those, other than people's experiences, from an Internet forum. What if someone is wrong or your body reacts totally differently. Your dr in most cases or Google to search different caffeine levels in different brands is more for your sake than ours.

The last thing any of us want to do is tell you something and than have something go wrong for you. Also you have to understand most people just like yourself wouldn't have a clue how much caffeine is in sweet tea because of so many different factors. No one is trying to be mean but rather steer you towards a better source. Also there were several solid answers explaining this and one even sharing one places caffeine content. Try to look at the positive instead of seeing it as people going against you.

  • I woke up this morning and found out David Bowie passed away. It's just not sitting well with me today :(

Honestly, the first thing I thought of when I heard it this morning was how many bumpies will be sad because I know that the Labyrinth movie is big with TTGPers

  • @chanfa it's always been one of my favorite movies. Today will be spent watching it and listening to some of his music.
  • While I'm so sad, I'm so happy that he's freed from the chains of cancer. Fuck cancer.
  • I don't have any root beer and I want a root beer float! Also yesterday we went to my favorite Mexican place and I didn't eat all my food so I could eat it today for lunch. I totally forgot it at the table. When I went back the guy has thrown it away. Que tears.
  • I have never seen Labyrinth. Im pretty sure it was before my time. :/

    Hush your mouth!
  • @juliagulia38 it's awesome! I was born in 88, and it was something I grew up watching. My boyfriend watched it for the first time recently and while he said it was still good, he didn't love it like I do. Check it out if you get the chance. It's fantastic.
  • I was born in '84 and didn't see it till last year when my husband told me it was a great movie... hahaha

    Love Labyrinth!
  • I literally have had Ziggy Stardust playing in my head all morning. That song brings back such sweet memories. Sad day, but also glad he isn't suffering any longer.

@karabby You **cried** because people suggested you google the caffeine amount in whatever brand you drink?

We're pretty smart and all, but there are some things in pregnancy (and life) you're going to have to either google, or ask your doctor. Also, no one was bitchy, at all.

  • My daughter is 11 months old today.
  • David Bowie has been one of my favorite musicians since I was 16. I never cry at celebrity deaths, today I'm blubbering all day because my baby will never get to hear a new DB release or see him live.

Then my husbund linked me to a baby friendly lullaby version of classic DB songs and I cried even harder.
  • I sobbed all the way through Hunky Dory this morning.

After I found out last night I had a dream that I was having the baby but all of my David Bowie playlists had been deleted so I freaked out and wouldn't have the baby until someone could set up a record player in the room.

  • When I dropped DS off at preschool, he didn't want a hug from me for the second day in a row.  I get that he wants to go play with his friends, but this hormonal mama needs a hug!  Yesterday, I considered an anomaly. Today, there were tears on the way to work. :'(

So there's this boy. He kinda stole my heart. He calls me "Mom"

  • all my crying episodes are music related. Ed Sheeran's Photograph music video is a lot of different home videos of him growing up. It made me bawl, my 3 year old is growing up so quickly and then #2 will probably be my last. We have such finite time as parents. The best way I've heard it put is "the days are long but the years are short". *tear*
  • David Bowie, Alan Rickman, so many tears this week.
  • can there be a #whymypregnantselfisRAGING thread? I know people can be dicks anywhere, but Vegas people take it to a whole new level and unfortunately the level of assholeness just gets exacerbated because people that normally aren't assholes quickly becomes assholes from dealing with so many assholes. I'm on a short leash today and considering locking myself in my office for the next 10 hours.
  • @PinkLady2015 yes! We need one!

Because the house is dirty and DH hasn't hired a replacement maid and it's been two and a half months of living in a grimey house that no one cleans! I called crying and told him have someone here Saturday! Hire someone affordable like you were supposed to do or call Merry Maids and pay $300! I don't care! I'm pregnant and tired and have a damn cold and I'm NOT lifting a f@*king finger! This was the agreement! You want this house- you hire someone to clean it!!! *HORMONAL SELF-PITY RAGE CRY*
  • @iamautumn what you just wrote made my cry. Perfect.
  • I saw an old man walking his pug with a walker
  • Because due to some huge financial troubles and changes in the last three months I feel like bringing this baby into our lives now is a huge mistake for us and it. Watching our savings deplete just to get bills paid every month, and I can't get a job because I would lose insurance and he can't find a better job.

Or course, feeling like pregnancy is a mistake just makes me feel guilty and cry harder. Talk about bad mom of the year award, and I'm not even a mom yet...

I'm sorry you are feeling that way. I'm in a similar situation with work. I found out I was pregnant right when I got home from a long trip and I hadn't gotten a job yet. If I get a job now it will screw up my insurance and my husband is trying to get either a better job or a second job but everything is up in the air for awhile. I know we will be fine but sometimes I get stressed out waiting to see what will happen.
  • Celine Dion's husband died also this week - cancer as well... When someone loses a spouse, it always makes me sad

You're not alone with the financial issues! DH is probably losing his job right after baby is born... But maybe he's not. But he probably is. But we won't know until pretty much last minute. That's military for ya. And we will have to move at that time as well. I'm trying not to stress too much. It's so scary, though. We found out all of this scary news right after I got the BFP. Super great timing!! I wish the best for you!! Things will work themselves out though ... I feel confident for all of us!

  • Because I finally watched the episode of Glee where they recognize an actor's death. I boycotted the show entirely because I knew I'd cry, so I figured might as well get it over with while I'm a hormonal pregnant woman...makes sense? Lol #outoftissues
  • I lost my job, he's unable to find ANYTHING else (been searching for 5 years straight) so he's working for $10/hr, which literally doesn't pay our bills. I am on medicaid, so unless I find something that offers insurance the day you start or is cash that I can just not report, I can't get a job at all. And our current overhead expenses are more than he makes, we're already getting reduced rent, we don't eat out or buy anything extra for ourselves. Our spending is 100% bills, grocery store, and gasoline, and we're eating our savings. At current rate, in 6 months, we're completely out of savings. He hasn't ever had a job at more than $10/hr, and he has a college degree. I have very little optimism it will just work out, but if I start "helping" by working at $10-$12/hr, I lose all medical coverage, and still won't make enough to qualify for obamacare, so getting private insurance without subsidy would be $300/mo I think for me, roughly, then up to $600 once I deliver? So that's honestly not a help, since the pay wouldn't cover childcare and insurance anyway. So I just have to sit back and watch the money go I think. I don't know how else to "help."

  • @RideNRunMomma oh I'm so sorry you are going through this but you are far far from winning the worst mom award! Try to breathe you have some time and the stress of it all is hard on your body and your little one.

I know from experience how scary financial strain can be when you can barely barely get by each month. It is good to be conscious of the future but don't let it bog you down. You have some time. Stay positive and my thoughts and prayers are with you two!

Mine is stupid but I made this amazing bath which I was so looking forward too after a long day and not feeling amazing even made sparkling juice( orange juice and Sprite) and put it in a cheap wine glass. Immediately after I took this picture the glass fell and broke ! Ugh it killed my buzz but now I'm in the tub with candles and slowly starting to relax!

Eta: I forgot to mention l cried the whole time I was picking up glass shards and juice

  • @lindsayleigh1989 I hear you, but it's beyond "barely getting by." Just eating and paying bills is pulling several hundred a month from savings, and there's not much there. By the time of the birth, we'll be using credit cards just to pay bills and put food on the table.

I want to relax, but literally will be losing our place to live when we have a newborn if nothing changes, and nothing has changed for the financial positive in 5 years. Literally DH has never had a "real" job, he was promised one, so we spent $4500 to move all the way across the country, and now we're here, job fell through and we have nothing and no one. I can't just NOT worry about not being able to pay rent or keep our car within a month after the LO is born.

  • @RideNRunMomma Do not feel bad for hijacking. You have a very real reason for being stressed and crying. I am sure at some point we will all have our own meltdown day. I wish the was a simple solution for you. I hope you are able to find some release from the financial strain and be less stressed. It's hard to not be discouraged after five years of trying to find a better job but that doesn't mean it won't happen. Good luck! I hope tomorrow is a better day
