Glad you're home @red3ye and so glad there weren't any contractions. Did they have a clue why you are feeling so sick? @skruhmin are you feeling better this morning?
Yep except for a night of hard rolling movements from baby definitely have nothing to complain about.

STMs WDYT? I keep reading people talking about the contractions they've felt. So far, the only discernible thing I've felt is my uterus getting rock hard after an orgasm (which I've read could be BH) and then I can only feel it if I place my hand on my tummy. I've had no pain or anything. Do you think it's weird I haven't felt anything yet? I'll be asking my midwife tomorrow, was just wondering if you had any ideas....
@ecwk Totally normal. The rock hard feeling from BH is just your body getting used to contracting, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with not getting anything worse - in fact, you don't want to be feeling anything more than that right now, as it signals things more serious. With my first, I only ever got BH until the 'big day' (albeit my angry uterus was causing me to be rock hard all the time; it was annoying but never the kind of cramping pain).
@lcq5504 lovetits in sympathy. The last two days I've woken up wanting nothing but enormous waffles covered in berries and cream. Or something similarly sweet and fruity.
@ecwk You can mention to the doc for confirmation, but I agree with @smushi.
I've wanted waffles every weekend morning for weeks now, but don't have the motivation to make them myself. The weekend after Christmas my mom made them for me because I'd been craving them so much. BUT, in true man fashion, her husband and step atom each had like 3 helpings, which left me with only 1/2 a waffle. My mom offered to make more batter, but it didn't seem worth it. I was pissed though. One day soon I'll bite the bullet and just make them.
@smushi omg that sounds amazing and just added more pain to my life! Hahaha @cmerribury those bastards! DH and I have been thinking of getting a waffle maker, idk why we just haven't done it
@skruhmin was it you who mentioned free shipping on zulilly? Does one need a special code? I'm totally new to this website! I can't see it listed anywhere...
@ecwk I also never really felt any bh with my Ds. I'd go in for monitoring and they'd say did you know you were having contractions, I never did. However, this pregnancy I've felt them consistently. Everyone is different I guess.
I really haven't craved anything this pregnancy except waffles. I make them once a week and the batter lasts me several days. So lucky DH doesn't like them, all the waffles for me!
We got a Belgian waffle maker and have made waffles like twice ever. But we have used it to make omelets a few times, and hashbrowns, and every single weekend we make “waffintangles” in it – IFL muffins but the littles make a big crumbly mess with them and just want the muffintops, so we started pouring the batter in the waffle maker … it's like the entire thing is the same consistency of a muffintop, but not all crumbly! We cut the squares into rectangles, hence waffintangles! We have made every flavor: blueberry, lemons poppyseed (we just dip in the lemon glaze), banana nut, apple cinnamon, pumpkin, sweet potato, cranberry orange, chocolate chip … so freaking great. Get a waffle maker, yo

Okay, so I'll be dusting off my waffle maker today. But I can't decide if I'll make waffles or 'waffintangles'. @oceanchild, can I use any old muffin recipe or does it have to be a certain kind?
My nephew has been asking for pancakes so we took him to Denny's. Sorry to rain on yalls breakfast food parade but I had blueberry pancakes, hash browns, eggs, and sausage. Soooo yummy
Oh my gosh @SarahFoley725 I'm so freaking jealous!! And @oceanchild that sounds so amazing! I'm convinced, I need a waffle maker today! Maybe I'll have breakfast for dinner!
So much yummy food talk!! DH is going out of town from Tuesday until Friday, so when I go grocery shopping tomorrow to prep for it, I'm buying all the cookies!
My 20 month old has spent the last 20 minutes in front of the dog/baby gate, feeding the dog his puff snacks one at a time. The dog is indignantly sticking his tongue through the bars as far as he can to get each puff. Maybe now the dog will start to realize the kid's worth in the household, at least a little. I usually get the stink eye from him and that look of "So when is this annoying puppy leaving?"
@smushi my panda express was like 75% veggies too so we'll go with that! My nephew is 20 months also and is visiting us this weekend (by us I mean my parents where I'm staying). They have 3 dogs and 3 cats and I have my 2 dogs here as well. All of the animals are like omg why did you bring that terror tornado back here!
I love Aldi! We have one here. We also have a Save-a-Lot, which is pretty much the same exact thing as Aldi except you don't have to have a quarter for the cart. Cheap food rules!!!
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
Everyone's giant breakfasts sound so good. For those on the verge of buying waffle irons, don't be like me. Spring for one with removable plates or you will hate yourself after you've finished making liege waffles and have scrubbing the darn thing with a toothbrush for an hour... The liege waffles are always worth it though.
@smushi my whole day is filled with my 17 month old sharing food with the dog. Both ways. He is obsessed with the dog food. He also has to eat the puff snacks directly from the full container. He won't take them in a bowl.
@blueeyedrose86 I have been creeping J16 for weeks now!! It's so fun to read all of their stories and imagine us being there soon...but not too soon!
I have to gush. A girl from my IL's church gave me a huge stash of mostly newborn-6 mo. clothes today. I went through them (with DS' help), and now they're in the wash. What a blessing! I feel so much better now; I may not have anything else ready for DD if she comes before we move, but at least she'll have clothes that fit.
I just had one of those moments where you become extremely overwhelmed and panicky. On Saturday we are hosting a couples shower at our house and our family shower is Sunday. I have my friends shower the following Saturday (the 23rd) and my birthday is the following day. Then we have a third shower on the 28th. I have three appointments left this month because they added another growth scan. Somewhere in all of that, we HAVE to get the nursery painted and start getting baby stuff in order. We have a wedding in February and other showers for other people. I don't think we have a free weekend for....I have no idea. I went from feeling like I have SO much time to feeling like I basically have none at all.
@SarahFoley725 - breeeeeeathe my dear, you'll get through it! It definitely sounds daunting when you're thinking about all of that at once, so my advice is just take one thing at a time. Good luck with all those events! Once it's all said and done, you'll look back at all the fun and smile!
@SarahFoley725 ; i feel the same, although it's me planning too much and too often (but i have to, i feel). My helpfull thought is that even when nothing is ready, it lo decides to come early, he has a crib to sleep and loving parents, most important things...Hang on!
Edited because i just saw i inserted the wrong Sarah...oops...
@SarahFoley725I know exactly what you mean. Baby has an appointment this week, plus I need to get my 3 hour in, and make up the combined 5 hours of work I'm missing between appointments and the 3 hour. We also need to pick up DH's family at the airport for the shower, and will be making the drive to the airport a total of 5 times this week, it is only 30 minutes, but still. Just typing it out is exhausting to me.

@jmathi0149 - how are you feeling? All I was able to keep down was Gatorade yesterday also but I'm feeling much better this morning. Zofran is such a wonder drug!
Right before Christmas break we had a team breakfast at a restaurant that had AMAZING waffles. Like these things melted in your mouth and tasted like vanilla ice cream. Now I want, thanks a lot. I will definitely have to try these waffle tangle whatever you call thems. DS1 is asking for blueberry muffins so maybe I'll do these...
