@SarahFoley725 I feel you, sweetie. I'm in just the same boat. We have plans every bloody weekend in January and February and I feel like it's all getting away from me. There is still SO MUCH to do. Fortunately, I booked one of those weekends for painting in advance or the baby would be coming home to NOTHING in the way of a nursery. I know kids are perfectly fine in whatever their surroundings, but I'm such a planner (and therefore, such a nester when pregnant) that the idea of not having it perfect kills me. Hang in there, sweetie!
I am REALLY starting to enjoy our birthing classes. We had our second class of our 5 week course yesterday. They are each 2 hours long. The first hour is all helpful information (yesterday was Doulas and Birthing Positions), and the other hour is all about teaching your birthing partner new massage techniques and other ways to help us relax during labor.......yeah, I felt pretty good after 60 minutes of back, neck, head, and hand massages from DH. We might have to "repeat" this course....lol
Just got sent home from work since I mentioned I was having contractions every 25 min. My boss's wife had their son in October almost two months early so when he heard I was having contractions he said nope go home or call your doctor. Currently chugging water and laying on my left side hoping I don't have to go to L&D.
@yodapup I was able to keep down Gatorade and even a few saltines by last night. I ate half of a muffin this morning and had to take a zofran. I definitely feel better but still not 100%. I'm so bummed because I went to Clemson and one of my best friends here we to Alabama so we were supposed to have a watch party for the game tonight but I'm sure I shouldn't go.
I'm not saying I want anyone to go into premature labor, but I almost feel like we should start a birth announcement thread soon. Statistically, we are bound to have a few preemies Maybe in the next couple of weeks? Or do we feel like that will jinx us?
When I had to go in they didn't send me to L&D so I've never been BUT I bet it's not that great ladies everyone needs to stop trying to pay them an early visit!
Thanks ladies contractions have stopped lots of water and resting really helped. I did call the doctor they told me to go to L&D if they didn't stop with in the hour. Actually took a nap while the husband got the kids from school. I think between work and all the packing with this move I just over did it. I have more packing to do but will be breaking it up into 15 mins of packing 15 mins of rest. Thank you all for the T&Ps. Hope all of our babies stay put a while longer.
I'm really hoping no one has to use it soon... I ended up in L&D again this morning and they kept me all day. I was having some incredibly intense one sided pain, so much that I couldn't walk. They thought either appendix or something like that, but it turns out after another ultrasound that it's the dang kid's head rolling back and forth under that round ligament, and it's stretched to the max. And it became very apparent to the ultrasound gal that the baby is measuring much bigger... Like 35 weeks instead of 32, and he's over 5lbs already. We also got to see the baby practicing sucking and breathing, so that made me relieved to see. They finally let me leave after two IV bags, fenugren/staydol, two blood draws, and a steroid shot to promote lung development. I have to go back for another tomorrow, so I'm guessing they don't have a lot of faith in me making it much longer.
I'm sorry, @smushi. That's scary. Maybe they can put you on bed rest to keep the baby in a bit longer? Does laying down on your side help the pain at all?
My son was huge and came at 36 weeks (over 8 pounds). It was scary, but aside from some light jaundice and low blood sugar he was perfectly healthy. I'm sure yours will be too, even if a little early.
@ecwk we have had Aldis kind of around us, but a little less than a year ago one opensed right in my town, so YAY! And is it bad that I am in the middle of football country here in AL and I had no idea this damn football game was on tonight until that fb post?! Haha!

One on the today I cried because and one on the Due the 25th stomach pains
@smushi and @lightrox thinking of you! I swear I was so busy at work I didn't get to check TB much today. Today I worked in the city because my school was closed for a snow day. And i had a 2 hour delay here so I didn't work until 10. However the regular secretary called in sick so she ddidn't have to drive (even though it had cleared right up and where she lived never got any snow), so I was stuck answering her phone and doing her work on top of my own. I even had to print and stuff 75 frigging progress report cards that were due 3 weeks ago- the supervisor there couldn't get them to print and never had her secretary try either. That was the highlight of my day.
I'm hoping tomorrow I'm back in my slow paced environment but our lake effect warning lifts at 4am and another one is yet to start at 4 pm. Damn snow... I hate the crap!
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
Lol @charley15 and here I am hoping the lake effect turns out to be as bad as they say so I can enjoy a snow day tomorrow. The snow hasn't made it here yet, we are expecting it to start tonight.
I have a growth scan in 3 weeks at 34 weeks to check size and position. I'm nervous! Does anyone feel like their movement has increased? Baby girl has been going wild the last few days. My doctor came to visit me in the hospital because her heart rate was almost 200 for over an hour and said she was acting out because she was experiencing a lot of what I was and was probably just uncomfortable. The heart rate came back within a normal range for several hours before I left but she has still be super active.

I bought some blueberry muffin mix today to try out these "waffintangles." You've started a waffle revolution, @oceanchild!
