@skrumin haha, that makes me worry a bit :)

It just really bothers me when people think a kid has a problem just because they are active and like to play. Then when you tell a mom that you think there is a problem with her kid you better know what your talking about: mama'so are often compared to mama bears for reason.

Edit @skruhmin I understand what you meant now, lol. When I read it at first I thought it meant your water broke when you sneezed.

I'm seriously a pregnancy rockstar with water breaking on the toilet. Like major win.

  • So, I just got off the phone with my mom. When I had ds, I made it clear to everyone that I did not want anyone but dh there until after the baby was born. Mom told me then that I would have to have security haul her out screaming cause she was going to be there. She showed up at 8 am and stayed till after I had ds. She took photos on her phone of me getting sick and looking like hell. She laughed when I would have to stop to breathe through contractions and then threw a fit when we had to do a c-section and I told the doctor that if I could only have one person then I wanted it to be dh. After I had ds, she took a picture of him and left before I was out of the OR. She then posted every photo she took to Facebook and never came over to visit or check on us after that.
With this one, I already told her I didn't want her there and that we are doing a c-section anyway. I told my doctor that she will not be allowed to see us while in the hospital and that I plan on telling the hospital to put her on the 'do not allow' list. Apparently, she did not understand me though.
She just called to cause my eldest sister told her that if mom manages to make it here from Texas that my sister will make sure mom doesn't bother me till I am ready. She is upset with me cause she thinks that she deserves to be there.
Ever tell someone something and they act like you are speaking another language? Your left wondering "what, did I stutter? Or are you just that stupid?" I told you months ago that you were not going to be there.
Not really winning or angry, just wondering if I can find a 'stupid' sticker to start handing out.
  • @red3ye if your mom is in Texas I'll cause I diversion! Jk it's a big state and also that's kinda crazy of her and definitely rude.
  • @red3ye I'm so sorry.  Going into labor is stressful enough.  Why can't people just realize that and just go with the parents' wishes?  You shouldn't have to fight your mom the whole time.  Blegh... hugs!
  • Ugh my mom is scaring me. I sent her my bump pic and said "Holy shit I'm huge!" And she is telling me to be careful because it looks like I've already dropped. Now I'm worried. Anything I read says most stm's don't drop until labor begins... and I'm only 31 weeks. I've only had that 1 bout of pelvic pressure that went away after 5 seconds. If I can make it past 32 weeks i will stop worrying so much, but until then I guess I will have full blown anxiety...

  • Happy news years all! Dh and I had a great day with ds. Nothing crazy spent the afternoon at an indoor playground then out to tgif just the perfect time with family. Now home for grown up video games and sparkling cider. Feeling very blessed.
  • @red3ye I honestly probably would have drop kicked that bitch.

Yup! Throat punch and roundhouse to the face for sure!

  • Holy crap @red3ye!!! Firstly, I'm sorry that random lady was an effing bitch, and secondly, i'm really sorry (and angry for you) that your mom treated you that way last time. So disrespectful! Good plan to have her on the do not allow list. Consider being admitted as a "no press patient" and make sure anyone who you give your room# to can be trusted to not share it at all. Seriously she wants security to haul her out kicking and screaming? That can be arranged. Ugh.

  • Happy New Years!!! It's crazy to think how fast 2015 went.
  • @red3ye I would have punched her. I'm sorry she said that boys are really active both of mine are and they are 9 and 5 they are fine at school but we have to burn more of their energy out in the afternoon or the evenings are crazy. They aren't ADD they are just regular active children.

I had a pediatrician once tell me my oldest might have mental retardation when we took him in when he was 2 1/2 years old because he started crying because he remembered that was the place that gave him shots and he didn't like it. I was pregnant at the time and my husband had to hold me back because I was about to jump the stupid Doctor. I told her she was fired and grabbed his chart from her hands and walked out. His new pediatrician told me that lady was an idiot and should have her license revoked he was so pissed for me that he reported her don't know if anything happened but I know my friends with kids that went there switched also after I told them what she said. I know she lost a lot of business.
  • @lightrox wow that is so messed up! I mean I can't even! I think it goes to show more how smart your kiddo was that he remembered – even some dogs remember they don't like the vet (*btw I am NOT comparing your sweet kid to a dog*); just what an jerk that doctor was! Glad you switched!

  • Got an email this morning from Motherhood Maternity advertising their clearance sale.

Someone in their marketing division must have considered themselves a genius for calling it the "Final Push" sale.

    Har har MM.

    Happy New Year's, everyone!
  • Anyone else feel hungover? Oy! To bed at 11:30 (we are lame and couldn't push it until midnight) and boys up at 6:45. Coffee isn't touching it at all.

  • @oceanchild I didn't think you were comparing him to a dog. Ha ha, but kids remember things that are traumatic to them and getting shots was that for my son since we had to delay his vaccines due to an allergic reaction to the Hep B vaccine. It's all good I did think about taking him back and showing her what an idiot she was but left it alone since if I saw her again I'd probably still want to punch her.
  • @MrsLeanMeanClean - I saw this and thought of you: https://www.carters.com/carters-baby-boy-tops-layering/V_225G256.html?navid=carters-xsellCartRecentlyViewed
Or you can go to Carters.com and type in Rugby Hoodie.

I'm sorry I can't remember what you are having (or if you are team green). The rugby socks are adorable too. The numbers of the rugby shirts make me think that the people who designed them do not understand the significance of the jersey numbers in the game. :)

  • Happy new year everyone! It is noon here and I am just getting started on the day. We went out last night to a friends place.they had booze but thankfully everyone there was mature enough that no one became stupid drunk and the alcohol was kept up high enough that the kids couldn't get to it. We played cards and told stories while one of the younger girls watched the little ones. We actually stayed there till 230am with ds! He had a blast with the other kids and it meant that we all got to sleep in extra late this morning. Although I am sure we screwed his sleeping schedule all up.
Thanks for all the love and support ladies. My mom no longer can make me mad, I don't care for her enough to get upset when she acts so stupid. The other woman probably would have gotten hurt if it weren't for the fact that she easily out weighs me by at least 50 pounds and she had back up while I was alone with ds.
  • Glad you had a good night @red3ye !

Our night was pretty mellow. Girls pulled confetti poppers all over the living room and blew horns around 10pm, so I figured that was good enough and fell asleep. Woke up right before midnight to both girls asleep, just in time to kiss DH and fall back asleep.

But then I was woken up around 2:30 or 3 am when my toddler woke up totally pissed at the world and throwing the tantrum of the century, which lasted about an hour. I'm surprised she didn't wake up the whole neighborhood. She finally fell back asleep, and about 30 minutes later my 6 yr old coke up in a massive coughing fit. Grrr, this year already hates me.

Started winter break off with a case of headlice, then my oldest got this never ending cough crud which hits hardest at night. My toddler and I seem to have finally caught it too, yay. Oh, and the toddler woke up from yesterday's nap with pink eye in BOTH eyes. Probably why she was so pissed in the middle of the night. FML I'm so tired.
  • Happy new years! To all the ftms, this is the year we become mommies!!! To ALL the mommies, this is the year we get to meet and get to know another part of our hearts!! I don't have any inclination to make a new years resolution becuase I'm starting this year happy and healthy and wouldn't change that for the world.

  • Guys it's back. The morning sickness has returned. Lord help me.

Happy New year everyone! This is the year we'll all have babies! And the bump says it's time to start putting together the hospital bag.... Oh my goodness it's getting real!
  • @charley15Here is an extended version of your siggy pic. I had to share with you because I thought it was great.
    Funny pregnancy memes

@2goofymoms I have ben completely avoiding packing the hospital bag for multiple reasons. (I fear I will grossly over pack and it seems like just the activity to push my labor/birth/parenting anxieties into the light.) But last night my friend gave me the cutest Vera Bradly Bag. (I could give two shits about name brands but apparently its a really nice bag. DH asks me "Is she famous or something?" To which I replied "I have no freaking idea?") Anyhow, its the perfect size for my hospital bag so now I'm finding the task a little more approachable.
  • Don't forget change for the vending machines and your phone charger and a pair of house slippers or at least really fuzzy warm socks! Lol, I am also a fan of some hard candy
  • @red3ye Thanks for the advise! Pinterest has a billion photo collages that I've been scanning to help make my personal must have list. Change for the vending machine is a fabulous idea!

  • Happy New Year!!! May we all have a blessed and amazing 2016!
  • @kitteh81 my mom sent me that link yesterday! She said the baby wants to listen to Adele lol and I said as much as I like Adele I don't want another woman in my vag! Lol

@JLaVO888 I loved the article these came from- and I most relate to the one I picked l. It was a toss up between that and the not getting sneakers on my feet but I figured both consist of bending over...and I've ben. Having the WORSt time with that! Seriously last night I was trying to get into my box of chocolates when the paper fell to the floor (the one that tells you which chocolate is where...). I looked at it, said "f*ck it!" And left it there!

We just got home from my mother's birthday lunch (yes she is a New Years baby). We had a great time :). I'll admit though she kinda creeper me out- she walks in with this giant HICKEY on her neck! I don't wanna know what my now 51 year old mother does in the bedroom...! And my stepfather was behind her smiling just as proudly as could be! The childhood nightmares are returning...lol!

  • Well we are almost at 32 weeks and I just had my first high Bp reading 141/92 not terrible but high. I have had strong suspicions we were headed in this direction (I have had a headache for 4 days now), but have been hoping it was just all the schedule changes. Worst part is it had been holding steady in the high 120s and 130s over 80 all week, but of course now that I am 4 hours from home and visiting my in laws I am not feeling great. Ugh! Having a small pity party for myself because this is how it all started last time and I just can't bring myself to tell people that I think I may be having pre e issues again.
  • I'm sorry to here that @Stormiewinter I worry about developing issues as well. Fx you start feeling better
