    I am so mad! We moved in August and apparently dh has completely lost the conversion rails to turn DS crib into a toddler bed. I have called the manufacturer and there is no way to order a spare piece. So either I move him directly into the full bed or I have to buy a seperate toddler bed first. This is the whole reason we bought a convertible crib. I wouldn't be so upset but both kids will need cribs for a little while and I didn't want to use his crib in her room because it looks boyish.

    Uh that stinks...maybe check ebay? That's crazy they don't sell spare parts. We moved DS1 to a twin bed when he was two so we never converted our crib because you had to buy the rails separate and they were expensive. Also what about buying a toddler rail and using that for a while? I know they say not to use them with a crib but I don't really see how it could hurt since your LO is older?

    Just curious because I didn't take the 3 hour test with DS1 does anyone know how long it typically takes to get the results back? I don't know why but I am super anxious about it and I would really like to know before the holiday.

    ecwk I think newborn pictures are def worth it but I would keep looking for a photographer. 1000-2000 seems crazy. Around here its 250-700. It seems like it gets crazy expensive when you have to buy the actual prints. 

    Thanks! I just started my 3 hour. Hope your results come back with good news. I failed mine with only a 147. Whom whom whomp.... I have been poked everyday this week. 1 hour glucose monday, tdap vaccine tuesday, 3 hour glucose wednesday.

    That's one of the reasons I am so mad. This toddler rail came with it so we weren't supposed to buy anything extra for a while. The issue we have is it is the toddler daybed conversion rail. It is literally the only thing that holds the bed together so I can't just buy a rail from somewhere else. Dh has mentioned "making" it because he's sure it's just a board with a couple of screw in it. I can't imagine that being super safe.

    I woke up craving oatmeal in the most intense way. Strange since eggs are all I've wanted for breakfast this whole pregnancy. But I went with it and it was delicious. :smile: Thinking about heading to the store to get some paint samples for the nursery since my husband keeps implying he will do it, but doesn't. :neutral:

    STMs please please tell me that once baby is born the nightmares go away. I'm still shaken up by one that I had last night although I'm certain it came from that terribly sad third tri thread.

    We always do a butternut squash or carrot ginger soup and a small arugula salad to counter balance the ma6o/bacon guilt.

    Bacon guilt= not so much. In fact i hate sliced tomatos so my sandwich is bacon, lettuce and mayo. Atleast i'm having lettuce!

    Aaaaaand the doctor called and wants to see me as soon as possible. So I guess we know what that means! I have most likely failed the 3 hour d: damn it. Oh well! Guess I better stop being a fatty.

    Yeah.....I so wish I hadn't read that thread.....now every time the baby stops kicking/moving for more than a few minutes I irrationally freak out a little.......so sad. :(

    I Sorry to hear this. The glucose drink made me really nausous this time so I'm worried now. Only one more hour to go.

    Oh man, i just cried. i cannot even pathom going this long to have it end in any other way than a healthy baby. So sad.

    @SarahFoley725 They don't stop. I'm sorry. They do lessen significantly and change. But the second you became a mom the worrying started and it never really goes away. That thread broke my heart.

    Sorry to hear a lot of you ladies failed your gtt..Here in Holland they don't do it standard..only when the midwive/doctor suspect there's something wrong..

    And i really like to know now how Tator tots taste...;)

    My cousin lost her first baby at 37 weeks; she was due a month before me. We've been pregnant together each time – she's currently due a month before me again with her 4th baby. (Her first would be 5, like mine. We both have a 4yo and a 2yo/almost 2yo.) A non-local friend lost her 3rd baby at 37w too. I don't think the nightmares ever ever go away. I know theirs are different from mine. But I have them too. And they change after baby is born. But there are those good dreams too; just hang on to those.
    Right now one of my non-local friends is going thru the preemie struggles. Her baby was born 31 days ago at 36w, and his lungs weren't fully developed. He's been on and off of ECMO and they literally don't know if he will survive hour to hour.
    All these things really weigh on my heart and keep my mind awake at night. And then all the things that can happen after they get here (like my daughter falling into a pool, and a random dude running a stop sign and almost hitting my son as he got on the bus). Being a parent is so very scary.

    All this talk about stillborn babies and preemies is just scary.  And I lived through one of them... Its almost like trying to pinpoint your symptoms when you are ttc and first find out you are pregnant.  Here I am now pinpointing every possible symptom I have and overanalyzing it as possible signs of pre-term labor: the pelvic pressure and baby dropping that I have been feeling, last night I got a sudden knot in my back (which I had a couple days before I went into pre-term labor with my child), each Braxton Hicks contraction I get...  If baby has a slow moving day, I panic that something is wrong.  It never ends.

    @oceanchild Oh I'm just furious! Being married to a neat freak drives me nuts! Usually he's able to realize he's unreasonable and will just re-organize and re-clean to his little heart's content but I think he's cranky because I "sleep" so much. I say "sleep" because it's all interrupted by either the acid reflux, nausea, hunger, non-stop peeing. He's caught himself a few times feeling bad because he tries to wake me up to get me into bed and I'm so dead tired he can't wake me up and he'll mention how exhausted I must've been the next day. I'm starting to panic because this neat freak attitude won't do well with a baby in the house.

    Yay!  I got a text from hubs- his cousin finally dropped off the clothes!  Now I have something to look forward to doing tonight- I will go through them, and get them ready for the laundry this weekend, then I can get them all put away!  That will make me a good weekend project :)

    This photographer must not give you the rights to the photos then. You must have to purchase all the prints through her-- usually a single 4x6 print is like $15!! It's insane. I will only use a photographer who will release the rights to the photos so that you can make your own prints. I'm having trouble finding a photographer who does this in my new area (we moved 1 1/2 years ago). So far, the three I've contacted charge about $150 for the photo session, but then you have to buy all the prints through them and that just gets way too expensive! I'd rather pay $300 up front and have all the rights to the photos to make unlimited copies for family and friends! Grrr! Frustrating...

    @soxfan9968 My husband was the same way before our son got here. I'm talking scrubbing the bathroom tile grout with a toothbrush and bleach for 4 hours. He was nuts. He's totally relaxed since we had our son though. We are both neat and like to be clean, but he has a much more laid back attitude now. There is really no way to explain to them how exhausting it is...just stand your ground and tell him you can't right now and if he needs it a certain way he needs to do more. Sorry you are dealing with that.

    @cmerribury OMG!! That's him!!! Cleaning grout with toothbrushes!! so you're saying there is hope? Lol! I'm just worried now that he's going to storm around the house that way with baby. I'm all for being clean but the truth is babies move things and don't put them back where they belong. He can't be so picky about perfection and organization with a baby. They're miniature tornados of chaos.
