@allaire314 - I take back anything nice I have ever said (or said on Saturday). Your complete-ish nursery makes me angry... in the most jealous loving way I NEED FLOORING AND PAINT! Stupid moving. But, seriously, a consult may be in your future. I have many rooms in need of decorating haha
@jonesl12 this Pinterest nursery is loosely my inspo! I love the small pops of coral/teal or mint.
This looks really nice, but all I can think about is how much all those pictures would have hurt when DD would have inevitably knocked them off the wall and onto our heads during an active/resistant diaper change.
We wen't to Home Depot this weekend and bought the floor stain and sealer! Hoping my SO and brother will get that done (or just started) next weekend. We're running out of space in the living room to store things. Also, I bought a gallon of the paint I am using to repaint a piece of furniture I purchased at a yard sale months ago.
@brenlo42 DS was never changed on an actual changing surface, it was always bed/couch/floor. I doubt we would ever use a changing pad on the dresser, although the concept is nice haha.

We definitely used ours a lot, and still do, for MOTN and/or morning diaper changes when we are upstairs! We do change him on the couch, chaise, etc. if we are downstairs though. However, we switched to mostly cloth at home, which ar up in his room, so we still run up to change him a lot of the time just because the diapers are up thee. If we're using disposables and have one on hand, I just change him right wherever we are.

DS didn't have his own room through infancy so that may partially be why. He will have a nursery this time so we may get one but old habits are hard to break so who knows what we will actually do.
So I made the mistake of browsing Pinterest today and may make a makeshift nursery despite the strong possibility that she'll never actually be in her room full-time, depending on where and when I get sent somewhere new.

Maybe a "portable" nursery?? Plan around white walls and simple accessories you set out or can hang with 3M hooks. Color through the rug/sheets? S
Although I've never watched star wars, my husband is a big fan. We decided on a "Baby Robot" nursery theme, and when I found this mobile on Etsy I showed it to DH and he went crazy for it!
@thaisac1 I'm so glad you're going with the robots! Also, two minutes before I saw this post DH suggested a Star Wars theme, but I nixed the Death Star as a mobile. He likes the one you posted!

I was looking for robot mobiles, but this one was too cute to pass up.
I bought some white frames last night that I am going to attempt to spray paint (SO is going to do it) gold!! I have the above picture on my pinterest board as well. I'm going to a Grey/Gold/Lavender theme with Stars.
So I'm not nearly as far along as all you ladies! Need some advice: which crib do you all prefer for a boy? I really like the crib with the one tall, curvy side (and it has a drawer underneath) but then I really like the simplicity of the other one - which seems more boyish. DH likes them both too.

@Joness11 I definitely prefer the second one (the classic island?), but I'm just generally not a big fan of the cribs with the big curve on top. I don't think either of them is more or less appropriate for a boy.
I spent almost $100 on decor yesterday for the Stars and moon theme that we've been discussing all along and then I saw a beautiful piece of canvas art that I haven't stopped thinking about. I think my theme has changed. It's a canvas with purple/lavender flowers but it reminds me of Matisse and it matches the Lavender color that I bought to paint a piece of furniture that will go in the baby's room.

@thaisac1 My friend who is due in Feb is doing her nursery like that. I'm going to crochet her LO a blanket, but idk if I should use grey, white, and pink, or tan, white, and pink for it. (Granted a blanket won't be an accessory to always stay in the nursery, so it doesn't have to be perf, but I want it to match for my sake)

What is a good place to buy bedding? And for those who have made crib bedding is it easy?
Crib sheets are really easy! Two yards of fabric and I think 60 inches of some thin elastic will get you one sheet. Below are some old pictures of bedding I made for DS1. I miss him being that tiny!
I have deliberately steered clear of this thread because I've got the green eye monster at everyone's nursery! DH and I will spend one more year in a one bedroom so we don't have a nursery, but everyone's looks so good! Bravo!
Finally started taping the room yesterday so DH can get going on painting over the holiday weekend! I felt like I never really got the nesting bug with DD1, but this time I've got it bad

I returned the Stars and moon stuff and purchased the canvas for less than the price I paid for ONE of the stars! Fuck yea! I also bought a rug yesterday that is an aqua/teal (same thing?) color and it is going to look great. I was planning to get a lavender rug but I don't want the room to be a vomit of purple shades. So my beautiful vision of greys and gold accents is now greys with lavender and aqua accents.
I keep forgetting to take a picture. SO is planning to start on the floor this weekend! I am going to Ikea to get a dresser (Hemnes most likely) this weekend as well.

I'm very envious of all you ladies with an ikea around you... Closest one to me is in Gainesville, and I really have to make that hour drive worth the trip...
