Hi all. I've been lurking a bit and somewhat reluctant to join in, but here I am. This will hopefully be our second, though I've had two losses, hence my hesitation. I'm cautiously excited. More cautious than excited if I'm being completely honest.
DH is 36, I'm almost 35. We've been married 11 years and I've been on the Knot/Nest/Bump since our engagement. We have an adorable 2.5 year-old boy. Our first loss was at 8 weeks in November 2011. DS was born May 2013. Our most recent loss was at 13 weeks in July of this year.
I'm being heavily monitored by an RE this time around. I've been poked and prodded more times than I can count, including giving myself injections of Heparin twice a day. I'm only 5 weeks but so far betas are rising very nicely and I'm having my first U/S on Tuesday. I know much is beyond our control but I feel like we're in good hands this time. I hope to stick around and get to know you all better!
Congrats to everyone in here! So exciting!!! Just got our BFP last week. And now here we are, baking baby no2. Baby no1 is 15 months old and so much fun.
We're in Melbourne and EDD is 24/08/2016
Still can't really believe I'm pregnant. My symptoms are just mild cramping some days, which I didn't have with baby no1. So it's a little confusing. Need more reassurance through more symptoms, or maybe an ultrasound. Does anyone else feel the same?
Baking Baby #2, EDD August 2016 Enjoying Baby #1, born September 2014
Hello everyone. I'm Rachel, almost 30 mother of 2 young boys feom south east texas. . I am 7 weeks today. We got out BFP the day before Thanksgiving. We haven't told very many people yet waiting til our first US on the 30th. This will be my 3rd child and my SO first. We skipped the whole marriage thing first and jumped right on to a baby. He is super excited and nervous, it really cute.
Hey everyone!! I'm Jane, from TN! My husband and I have been married for 4 years. I'm 30, he's 31. We have a one and a half year old little boy, and I'm so excited to see him as a big bro! I work 2 days a week, and get to be home with him the rest of the time, and I love it so much
Hello everyone! I'm Kia. I'm 24 and DH is 30. We are currently pregnant with our first due August 19,2016. We are August babies so we are excited that our bundle of joy will be born in August!
Hi! I'm Trisha and I'm 35. This is my second baby, and my second August baby (I was in the August 2014 bump group before it imploded). I'm due August 26, 2016. I think I am going to try for a VBAC, but not sure of that yet. I also had Gestational Diabetes with my son Harrison, so I'm going to have to be extra vigilant with my diet this time around. Im a rural Kansas girl who works in local government.
*TW loss mentioned* Hello everyone! I got my bfp Dec.15! I was kind of shocked because I just went through a MC in Nov. and I was not expecting to get pregnant so soon after, but I am so excited! I have a wonderful DD and DS so this will be baby #3 for me, and our last!
Hi Everyone! I'm Elyse, I'm 27. My DH Ryan (29) and I live in Las Vegas with our gigantic Mastiff, Watson. We are expecting our first little one August 19 and are so excited. We haven't told anyone (just in case) but we are both dying to spill the beans to our friends and family! I'm looking forward to hearing how everyone's pregnancy is progressing. Congrats to all!
Hello all, my name is Jen. This will be my second birth, but first child at home. Our first was adopted though we still visit a couple of times a year. I am in week 5, due to pop Aug 16. We're choosing to keep the sex a surprise and will be revealing to the family on Christmas with a letter and poem to my mother addressed from Santa. Together 11 years, married 1.5 ago, recently acquired very secure jobs with bennies, an adorable cabin in the woods with a great yard and a river near by, close to family and friends. After a strange and tumultuous life things seem to be finally coming in order and we began our family planning about 2 months ago. Using the Ovia fertility app we got this far and while still using the Ovia fertility on my phone I come here for the community and registry consolidation aspect. Very excited to start our life
Hi all, pleasure to be here. I am currently almost 8 weeks pregnant for the first time. I am 30yo, husband is 32, and this is the first pregnancy for both of us. I was hesitant to post anything until the first ultrasound, which we had last week and it went well. Hoping to hang in there with you all and be a first time mom in August 2016!
I'm Kelsey! 23 years young. I'm married to a wonderful man Matthew. I am mother of a 4 month old boy. His name is Tanner. Yes a 4 month old.. I found out just a few days ago that I am very fertile. I just had a baby August 11th of this year. And now I'm expecting another August baby. Whoops! I had an extremely rough pregnancy with my little Tanner. So I'm really hoping this baby will stick. It wasn't in our plan to get pregnant for at least 2 years. So this is a shock to the both of us.
@kelseyrayay my sds are exactly a year apart. Birthdays are July 6th and 8th. They are best friends and enjoy doing everything together.... So far... Lol I'm sure as teens they will annoy each other.
Hey everybody, Well this pregnancy was definitely a surprise for us we are super excited though. After having our first child together born 6/27/14 I got the mirena i.u.d which worked great, after my daughter turned a year old it started causing discomfort if my fiancé went too deep. I just shrugged it off as an uncomfortable position around end of july/august my strings or threads felt longer I looked it up and was assured that during different stages of my cycle my strings will get longer and shorted depending on the positioning of my cervix . (Ok great now how am I supposed to know if something is wrong) well then I had spotting in between cycles and finally said that's enough. I went to the Dr to find out that my mirena was falling out. The base of the I.u.d was touchable at the tip of my cervix when the took it out it had a bend to it and they said i was lucky I came in when I did before it caused worse problems. At that point we decided that we would "try" we figured it would take a year to conceive like it did with my daughter after getting off the nuvaring. We had no idea that after getting it removed the first week in September we would be pregnant already. Now I'm just trying to get over the primary shock and get into pregnancy mode.
I hope to get to know you all (:
Edit: according to lms i am due August 23 will find out more from Dr soon
I am 27, my husband is 28. We have been together 6 years, married for 2. We have two cats and a Guinea pig. We have been trying to start a family for about a year and a half. No luck. Recently found out he has low sperm count. So we decided just to relax for now and see what happens. And of course when that happens, we are now pregnant with our first! Just taking everything day by day now in hopes that all turns out wonderfully.
Hello and congrats to everyone! I'm 27,my S/O is 28 and I'm pregnant with our first! I'm going in for my first prenatal appointment tomorrow to find out the due date, it should be around August 12th. Hoping to see the little one on the ultrasound. It's been very exciting reading the posts from other August moms. Wishing you all the best!
Hi ladies! I'm new here- transferred from July Moms. Had my first appointment today at 8w1d, but measured 5w5d. I was super nervous baby just wasn't developing, but did some calculations and if I just ovulated 2 weeks late due to my mild PCOS, everything works out for me to legitimately be just under 6 weeks with a due date of August 17th. I'll go back next week to confirm so T&P are appreciated! This is our 2nd baby we've been trying to conceive for 2 years. We have a perfect 3 1/2 year old baby girl who is our world and looks forward to being a great big sister!
Hello there, ladies! I just got my BFP today, and according to my O date, my due date should be around August 31st. I'll most likely float between this board and September, but no one has posted yet on the Sept '16 BMB, so I'm definitely here for now. I am 31 and DH is 33, and we've been married 3.5 years. I am currently a SAHM to our 2.5 year old DD, and of course am very excited to add #2 to our clan. Outside of my life as a mom/wife I like to run, participate in local theater, and basically enjoy anything to do with the fine arts. Before I had DD #1 I worked with children at a mental/behavioral hospital, and eventually would like to continue my education in fine arts/psychology.
Anyway, excited to GTK everyone, and wishing you all a H&H 9 months!
Hello other August moms! It was just Friday when I finally introduced myself on the TTC board after lurking for a few months. I had a BFN that night (on day 29) and figured the month was a bust, and that I better get comfortable over there. But by Sunday morning I had my BFP (and then ran off to Planned Parenthood to get it confirmed) and here I am! I'm not sure if it's sunk in yet. I'm very eager to be on this board because there are so many things I want to ask/talk about, but DH and I are trying to keep it under wraps.
A little about me, age 33, DH is 35, together 7 years, married July 2015. Pulled the goalie in October, started TTC in earnest November. Feeling very lucky.
This is my very first post, and I'm really excited! My husband are expecting our first child on 8.15.16. We had a loss back in July 2014, and it's taken us about a year and a half for us to get pregnant again. I will be 27 next month and my husband is 29. Sending all positive vibes and well wishes to you all. Happy holidays!
My hubby and I have only spilled the beans to my sister. It is going to be so hard to not say anything during the holidays! Congrats to you! We are due August 22nd!
My name is Caitlin, and I'll be 28 in a month. I'm from Chicago. This is my first baby, and I'm due August 25th. We've already had our first doctor's appointment because I'm considered high risk due to some pre-existing health conditions.
My name is Ashley and I'm 22 & My husband is 25. This is our first baby! We are SO excited to be pregnant!! I'm 6 weeks & 2 days! We only tried for 1 cycle and are very blessed with our little bundle of joy expected to be here August 14, 2016!
Hi all, Im due Aug 26th. I had two losses earlier this year so I am a little more freaked out than excited. I also have 3 and 2 year old boys. I've been off and on the Bump for a very long time now. I like to gif.
Hi everyone! I just got my bfp and I am very excited and nervous. Praying for a sticky bean and being able to bring home our rainbow baby! My EDD is 08/23/2016, just one day shy of our anniversary! Looking forward to hopefully getting to know you all
Hi my name is Casey and I recently found out I am pregnant, despite using Nuvaring! I am 5 weeks today with a due date of 8/23. I have a 2 1/2 year old boy and had an ectopic pregnancy in August of this year which resulted in the loss of my left tube. Getting pregnant with one tube and on BC is a bit of a shock but I am praying for a sticky bean this time! We live in Chicago.
Hi everyone! First pregnancy and should be due in August. I have my first appointment tomorrow so lots of emotions going on. Hoping for positive things. Congrats to all of you!!
This is my first. Digital positive on thanksgiving my boyfriend and I were very excited but now we just want to know for sure. Been going off the I feel pregnant been having crazy dreams and no period. So no drinking etc. But ready for a dr. Confirmation
My name is Sara, I'm 33 and this is my 2nd pregnancy. My little boy is 5 1/2 months old and will be a little over a year old when the new one comes. Kinda scared about having two so close together but couldn't be happier. I've battled infertility for a long time and was told by a fertility specialist it would be very unlikely that I would ever conceive naturally (without medical intervention). This one is number 2 without help
Based on my last period my due date is August 28 which is also my father's birthday so that is kinda exciting. I haven't told my husband yet, I plan on giving him the news as a Christmas gift.
I just got the 'ole BFP last night! Needless to say, I'm completely shocked as we were actively avoiding. That worked well, obviously. This will be number four for us. (Omg.) My due date is August 28th. I haven't been on the bump since around my last pregnancy and I'm excited to get back into the swing of things!
